Thank you. This is beats the Eco, Safari and Metropolitan, hands down. Thanks for the advice. Best decision I’ve made and it’s the perfect pen for me.
Glad you like it!
New subscriber! Very clear demonstration of disassembly and assembly. I think I have a Wing Sung somewhere. Not sure why I didn’t look more into that brand.
Thanks! They have some pretty unique models
Excellent review for a nice pen for the price
Thanks!
Seems like a good cheap alternative to it's "source of inspiration/" Great video!
Thanks!
I died a little on the inside when you reassembled the pen with so much water still in the barrel.
Great video though, concise and to the point. Well done.
LoL, a few drops of water won’t hurt. If anything might make the ink shade a tad lighter.
Get the translucent section version. Both the opaque section versions I bought developed fine cracks which leaked ink and were not-fixable. This is a known issue.
My translucent section one has not done this and the section is made of obviously better quality material.
Thanks for the tip! I haven’t seen cracking personally, but it’s good to know that could be a weak point
The cracks were developed after how many years of use?
Good demonstration of all aspects. How is the nib? Do all vacuum fillers need their pistons to be loosened for writing?
Thank you! The nib is well tuned, smooth with some mild feedback and fairly stiff. You can write with the knob screwed down for a few sentences before the feed will start to run dry. Unscrewing the knob releases a shut-off valve and will allow ink to flow freely from the barrel. This is the same for all vac fillers that I’ve seen.
@@fortheloveofpens Got it. Your channel is nice, hoping to see good contents in future.
@@Sapta_Chakra thank you! This is a bit of an older video…I have a lot of newer content published, and in the works!
@@fortheloveofpens Yes, I recently discovered your channel.
Great pen, I had issues with the cap threads
Did you get cross threading or something else?
@@fortheloveofpens The threads were very tight!! Didin't function smoothly
@@santauxia sorry to hear that, I didn’t experience that issue with mine. Wonder if they are grinding, it may be worth putting some silicone grease on them
I've heard the grip section, where it attaches to the barrel, has a tendency to crack - dumping ink everywhere. Please keep us updated as this looks great, but those reviews are concerning
Thanks for the heads up! I could see the section cracking from over tightening, but it is a plastic on plastic design so I wouldn’t be too concerned with that. I’ll be sure to post an update if I see any signs of it.
@For The Love of Pens thank you. I was surprised as well to read the reviews I read, but it was more than one and each said ink spilt everywhere (the biggest concern)
I hope to only hear good things, as this is truly an affordable 823!
Sometimes, I really lament the situation of those outstanding Western manufacturers. Why can't the commnunist chyna come up with something of originality. We, consumers are ready to buy exquisite products with our hard earn money. Please no more copycat for whatever reasons.
I agree, I have mixed feelings about how similar this is to the 823. But I will say this is an older model, I do think some Chinese brands are coming out with novel designs now.
In the past, chyna copy Parker and Sheaffer and now copy Montblanc, Lamy and Pilot. Some of them even make fake pens to grasp bigger profit. What a shame for a people of three thousand years of history .😂@@fortheloveofpens
