I have to admit when I first started watching mythical kitchen I thought josh was just full of himself. Now I watch probably 20 episodes a week (rewatching alot) because I love his energy so much. Plus the co hosts just add to the fun.
Josh is a character. He's a mixture of chaos and actual culinary knowledge.
1984 is by far one of my favourite reads of all time, and hearing Josh wholeheartedly ranting about the ending has just made my day. This guy is worth his weight in gold.
Okay, I think Josh is just jealous of pre-shredded cheese because it needs additives to avoid being caked up, while Josh is genetically doomed to being flat bootied. Also, this episode was teh best HR nightmare in a long time.
Watched this at 730am after feeding the baby and decided to make nachos. Best breakfast.

I remember the days when you forget the time of day or what day it is because of a new baby. Breakfast nachos would have been a great idea. I usually just went for dry cereal lol

I've said it before and I'm saying it again, whoever was in charge of the title sequence deserves a raise. it captures the late 80's to mid 90's sitcom vibe so perfectly in the most unhinged and chaotic way. It's genius.

Tapatio is sO rusty tasting and gross, it's practically the only Mexican "food" I don't like, and it makes no sense why it's popular amongst the people who actually otherwise are Known for having the world's best (other) salsas!

i really wish i had some sort of statistics on the demographic overlap of “people who are actually picky about homemade nachos” and “mythical kitchen viewers watching this video right now” because i cant remember the last time i made nachos at home, but i know the last time i did, it was definitely just tortilla chips from a bag with pre-shredded cheese on it that i shoved in a microwave for 30 seconds and then put salsa and sour cream on.
if you’re making nachos at home and doing it as more than anything other than a really quick and easy snack, i wanna know!!
We make it a meal, but different.... chips, cooked seasoned ground beef, then cheese... put in oven to melt cheese. Serve. Add sour cream and/or guacamole if you prefer.
Can of Stagg chilli (or your local canned chili equivalent) over doritos on a pizza tray with cheese and salsa, blast it until it's the right colour and consume _quick_ cuz it's not "good" per se but you need sustenance. I'd put it firmly in the meal category rather than snack, but for me a snack is a single chicken wing from the servo or a bag of Maltesers.
I'm just now realising I may have some real thinking to do about my relationship with food.
I need real food.
Bechamel cheddar sauce with red peppers and roasted green chilies in, diced red onion, fresh jalapenos and tomatoes with cilantro (pico de Gallo), some crumbled cotija, avocado and sour cream. Protein of choice ad lib, I usually just stick with cheese.
It takes a nanosecond to grate a block of cheese if honestly baffles me that enough of humanity is lazy enough to make pre-shredded cheese a product that actually gets produced and sold
I watch these for entertainment and shelf their opinions in my brain to try later.

I think I'm attracted to the entire Mythical Kitchen crew. I don't know how else to describe this. These people are so adorable, and fun to watch while they interact with each other. They're like an embodiment of the "legacy of friendship" upon which the entire Mythical Entertainment has been founded on. I'm sure Rhett and Link are proud of the people they have managed to hire.

@@mattmarkham9117 I live in Oregon but have not lived here my whole life. I was just recently made aware of a practice of Tillamook's that native Oregonians knew but is not clear to those that move here. Tillamook claims to get all their milk from local farmers in and around Tillamook and that is why the justify their really high prices. The milk is still from Oregon but 2/3rds of the milk comes from one of the largest enclosed dairies in the country and not from locat cows that are free to roam in the lush pastures of Tillamook. Tillamook as a company is currently being sued over this.
Also, in my experience, pre-shredded Tillamook cheese spoils very fast. I refuse to buy from them any longer, but the last bag I got spoiled in less then a week. I stopped buying there ice cream several years ago because I disliked the aftertaste of it, but now I absolutely refuse to buy any of their products. There are other Oregon products that don't run their business this way and can use the support of their business in the face of the Tillamook giant.

Still gonna go with layered. Adding American cheese between layers to get extra texture still feels like an optimal combination of utilizing a second cheese and getting that important texture difference
It makes it soggy though that's the only issue. I used to layer too because I literally hate a naked chip. But what I did instead was buy the largest pans possible to fit in my oven and lay as many flat as I can on both trays lol so instead of stacking I have two pans with one layer of chips so every chip has stuff on it. Anti-Naked Chip Household here

Nachos are a salad. Larb nachos are a double salad. Free-flowing nacho cheese sauce is the move.

If you rinse the starch off the pre shredded cheese it’s 100% the same as fresh shredded. And the excess water helps it melt faster in the microwave

Shredded cheese is $1 and change for 8oz at my grocery store while block cheese is $2+, at least for store brand
@@UwUVanessaUwU in my supermarket a 1kg block of edam, mild or colby cheese is $9. A 500 bag of grated is $8.50, l have a grater attachment on my kenwood mixer so l by a block and grate what l need,

When making nachos for ny mom and I they are layered and go in the oven, when I want something quick for me as a snack I will out them in the microwave. I also cook the oven nachos for about 15 minutes so the chips stay a lot crunchier.
My go to is shredded/broiled/individual topped/round, but I go big style and use tostadas and make like, giant nacho rounds.

Currently eating nachos that were cooked in an air fryer and can confirm that should've been an option on the list of cooking methods. Super quick and the cheese gets nice and crispy on the edges
