Just noticed the lead singer is wearing an FFA jacket, would like to know how he got it, I know how I got mine, FFA was a wonderful program and if it still exists, I support you 100%.
I think they we all in FFA . They began with the 1st paragraph of the creed. FFA most definitely still exist. I was an Ag Techer /FFA advisor for 37;years and now am state Staff.
I like that they changed the line "I've never sinned" to "yes I'm a sinner". Greenbaum has said he messed up on this line however this is a wonderful song.
I've tried to contact Greenbaum but he didn't acknowledge. This song was playing at a high school dance when someone walked up to my friend and told him his sister was just in a train/car accident and didn't make it.

These guys are the best man that drummer he can play real good I remember when I was a kid and seen them play at the Missouri State Fair at the Budweiser tent they are very friendly people to meet in person they are what you call real country boys they never act like no big shots they're normal down to earth people it would be real neat to meet them in person again

Headhunters corrected it accurately, stating that he is a sinner & he has sinned, but, has a friend in Jesus. And the guitar playing is phenomenal, compared to the original. Just saw them tonight in rural Kentucky and they ROCKED! They did this song and it was FANTASTIC! There were 4 other bands on the bill and the KY Headhunters ABSOLUTELY BLEW THEM ALL OFF THE STAGE! Great, fabulous, fantastic, unbelievable! One of the best Live Bands EVER! Love those guys. Some of them have been playing together for 41 years and it showed. Tight and Right!

Greg Martin was rockin the whole place with that pure badass guitar performance, I wish I could play like that, and Fred Young with sweat flying from his chops beating the drums to death, and Ricky Lee Phelps vocals were outstanding and him throwing and sprinkling holy water on everybody and taking video of the crowd was so cool, as well as his guitar encouragement of Greg and giving him the the slide to use on his guitar, and Ricky's brother Doug on his guitar was awesome, as well as his hopeful speech about farming before the performance started, and I absolutely loved drummer Fred Young's brother Richard Young telling everybody "alright people lets take it to heaven", and the the crowd absolutely loving it, and dancing and hitting balloons in the air like volleyballs, this was such an amazing and energetic performance, I wish I could have been there, I come back and watch this video often, because I love it so much, everything about it was just so cool.

While listening to this video, I realized that the fact that Norman Greenbaum is Jewish actually adds credibility to the song. Its like the content of the song was channeled through an unbiased soul. If this song had been written by a Christian people might say that this is just another Christian rock song, however, given that it was not the song is like discovering a hidden gemstone. It might be like the difference between creating and discovering.
The Headhunters really got shafted by radio. Same problem as the Georgia Satellites: too country for rock stations, too rock for country stations.

While listening to this video, I realized that the fact that Norman Greenbaum is Jewish actually adds credibility to the song. Its like the content of the song was channeled through an unbiased soul. If this song had been written by a Christian people might say that this is just another Christian rock song, however, given that it was not the song is like discovering a hidden gemstone. It might be like the difference between creating and discovering.
