そりゃ電化製品や新型旅客機などは存在してないが、国民の生活水準は第一世界大戦の好況で日本は世界でも屈指でした。だからモボ、モガは銀座を闊歩し、お洒落な服を買い、カフェで好きな銘柄の紅茶を楽しむなど生活に余裕がありました。比べて令和の今は貧困さが際立つ最低な生活水準ですよ。
とてつもない昔のようだけれど、僕の母は明治45年生(1912年）だからこの動画のときには小学校か女学校なんだよね。親が見ていた風景だと思うとぐっと近く感じる。

７分４０秒以降の風景は京都です。蹴上の現在の都ホテル辺りから、西→東へ向けての俯瞰ショットで、河原町三条ー岡崎勧業会館ー府立図書館?ー黒谷・吉田山ー南禅寺方面が撮影されています。２回目の俯瞰ショット最終部分で鉄筋コンクリート造で現存している蹴上の発電所建物の屋根が写っているので特定出来ました。

I was stationed near Tokyo from 2007-2010. What a difference of about 100 years. Folks typically dressed nicely. A lot of bike riding here to get around in a timely fashion.

明治時代から大正にかけて東京にはゴミが溢れ返りすぎて川が流れなくなるって言う問題があったレベルで汚かったしマナーも酷かったんだよ。けどそのマナーもだんだん改善されて今に至る。
戦後なんて洗剤、工場の汚染水垂れ流しで病気になったり、魚が奇形化するくらい汚かった。義務教育で習うよね。高度成長期以降は親に聞けばどれ位汚かったか教えてくれると思う。
1940年代ととても似てると思いきや、やはり違う。
走ってる車も違うし活気も華やかさも戦前だ。

私の父はこの映像の三年後生まれた。三年後の関東大震災は田舎に帰ってて祖母のお腹にいたが助かった。戦争は硫黄島にいく予定だったが肺に曇りがあって行かなかった。結局、曇りはレントゲンのミス！そんなこんなで私が生まれた。祖母はいないかと探してみたくなった。

先日、102歳の方がスマホデビューされた映像を見ましたが、時代の変遷をどのように感じておられるのか気になります。日本では、2023年時点で100歳以上が約9万人以上ご存命のようですし、お話を伺う機会があるかもしれませんね。
この映像からお見受けしたところ、100年前の日本人は、日本髪で着物姿の方がまだ多数おられたのですね。今では、普段着の着物さえも贅沢品となってしまいましたね。

1920年代といっても1923年9月1日以前ですよね。関東大震災の傷跡が写っていませんので。
判断基準はないですが、低層で古い様式の建物がけっこう見受けられるので20年代後半ではない震災前と見受けられます。

そこ自分も気になりました。1920年代と言っても1925年から昭和で、1923年に起きた関東大震災前の大正時代なら、浅草の風景には関東大震災で半壊した名物の凌雲閣を映す可能性が高いと考えると、1920年代後半の昭和初期かと推測。

The image restoration is superb, no question there, but the sound design is poor. It feels like the soundtrack to a cheap game, and detracts from the images. Just my opinion, but I'll watch with the sound off.

日本が純粋に日本人の国であった時代の風景です。とても懐かしい。こんな時代に戻りたいです。
