I have an authentic Omega Speedmaster Professional and I've purchased this watch for those times/activities where I wouldn't want my Speedy to get damaged. I don't notice the difference between wearing them. And, my original Omega bracelet on the Speedy feels exactly like the Pagani, wobbly links and all. So really, the Pagani bracelet is no different than the Omega bracelet.

It has a not-so-good reputation (can't tell first hand though), so Omega has released a new edition of the bracelet. However, this stainless steel bracelet alone costs 7x the price of the full PD1701.
Pagani PD-1701 has a ceramic bezel, the Omega Speedmaster has a scratch and dent prone aluminium one. The Omega is accurate to +/- 3-4 seconds a day, the Seiko quartz powering the Pagani is accurate to 3-4 seconds a month. The Omega has to be wound every three days if it sits, the Pagani never needs winding or movement, whether it sits or not. Both have sweep second chronograph hands, fit and finish are equal, both have sapphire crystals, both fit well, have top quality finished stainless steel cases and bracelets, but the Omega costs 5,733% more. In a world where value trumped prestige, the Pagani would win by a landslide
Regarding the bracelet, I tend to wear my watches on the "snug" side, so they don't move up and down my wrist. Consequently, I don't have any problem with the "scratchiness" or hair pulling. Nonetheless, I put on a plain, black NATO strap with shiny, stainless steel hardware, and think it looks great. The NATO is also excellently comfortable.
Nice review. No issues with lack of AR coating or the bracelet. The bracelet works very nicely for me as I don’t have hairy arms. Loving the Pagani Design watches.
The meteorite dial is lovely. In my opinion it is better than matte white. I like the icy feel for the holiday season.

Nice and detailed review. Finally purchased it in meteorite ice blue, and it's really beautiful. The case feels solid, heavy but not too much, well finished, and reliable movement inside. Lug to lug makes it indeed highly wearable. The no-date dial is better (I think), and to set the time one just have to pull completely the crown (I always have trouble finding the intermediate position, I didn't perceived it at first). The lack of AR coating... well, it's obvious, maybe the biggest flaw in some angles/conditions, but at least it's sapphire. The weak lume... it's not critical for a chrono, there's some and it's aesthetically pleasing, but doesn't last long. The bracelet is really good looking, I didn't find it uncomfortable but it's clearly not premium. I had to remove 6 links to fit my 17 cm / 6.8" wrist (and middle micro-adjust position). So there's only one removable link left : smaller wrists may have trouble. Considering I paid 86€ there's room to find a better bracelet, leather strap or assorted NATO.
I always appreciate the level of consistency and detail you bring to your reviews. I would really appreciate it if you added details of how many removable links are present since it determines if it will fit my small wrist. I had to remove that pressed extension entirely on the V3 in order to get a good fit.
I ordered this exact watch on 11/11 sale .I was tossing up between the light blue and white meteorite dials and went with the white .Blue looks cool too .
Nice review. I received the v4 all Tiffany Blue dial with white ceramic bezel a few weeks ago and I love it. The blue screams summer to me on the bracelet, so I picked up a dark blue rubber strap and a tri-colored nato - dark blue, gray and light blue - both work for me during the Fall season and should be fine in the winter.
Thanks mate, thoroughly enjoyed that review (as per usual). I bought the V3, as per your recommendation, and regularly wear it, even though it has the same abhorrent bracelet. I will consider this piece as well; I actually really like the meteorite etching on the dial, it does make it look interesting. Finally, it’s a shame that this piece isn’t offered as a mechanical piece, I would pay up to 250 for that even.
I just purchased this yesterday !! You are so right about the strap it really pulls the hairs on my arm and hurts the skin. Now changing to another stainless steel strap!! So because of this I consider it poor value because you have to spend more money. Because I love the watch so much I'm keeping but would have sent it back otherwise. Now for getting the strap off!! 😬🙄. Thanks for the great review 👍 👌

I've been wearing the black version for 3 days straight. No problems with the bracelet... Must be me. I found the watch itself a bit underwhelming, the classic one. Think I will try a different colorway next so I'm glad that this vid shows the white meteorite one.
Thankfully I have very little arm hairs so it shouldn't be a hair puller for me! Got the blue meteor one, I think it should help with the lack of AR since the blue meteor dial really stands out
Gosh really nice. You can still see it but you have to charge for night time insomnia on the Daytona meteorite dial. Texture watch dial is awsome. Just the looks of the bracelet would have me do 10 lbs of potatoes. Price is very good for killing quality. Very good watch
Good thorough review. I think you are being a bit harsh on the bracelet, yes it is sharp on some edges, but mine has never snagged a hair. Take an emery board and run it over the edges, fixed in 5 minutes. I just got the snoopy version for 84 bucks, gents this is incredible!, I paid more than that for lunch yesterday!
Thank you for watching. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. I used a Dremel with sanding wheel, then an emery board on my V3 bracelet; and it still had sharp edges and pulled arm hairs. Regards, #WR4K

I put the nato on mine, but I'm a 8.25in wristed guy so I had to buy a much longer nato..much better. The nato they provide is nice but for me only for the steel hardware, it is probably the best hardware gear on most AE natos, nice and thick. Now to swap them into another nato. Nice review.
I got this watch the same as the one in the review and agree with your review to a point . The bracelet is just crap the clasp is a load of crap, dial is nice if you get close but eye to wrist you can't see the texture, now the crown is far to small I can hardly gab hold of it and on my 8.25"it's small on my wrist,on the wrist it don't dig in but the corners of head is sharp if you run your fingers over it,now don't get me wrong price of this watch I paid 75 euros it's good but just a warning for guys with big wrist and big hands it looks really small on your wrist. This is just my opinion of this watch. Great review by the way 👍

I am pleased to report that after four months of semi-regular wear, the NATO strap, while still a bit stiff, has broken in and is quite comfortable for me.

Would you mind just checking the size when you get chance please. You said 42mm at the start but every Ali Express seller I've seen has it listed at 40mm. 40mm is a bit small for me but 42 is perfect so I would be interested to know as you physically have one to measure. Great review as always.
The watch is 42mm. I measure every watch I review using my digital vernier caliper. AliExpress listings often have errors in the specifications. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k I'm so confused as it's listed on Amazon as 40mm, I asked the seller to measure it and said he used calipers and it measured at 40mm. A chap in the PD Facebook group had the V4 and put up a picture with digital calipers again measuring at 40mm. A seller on ebay had it listed at 42mm so I asked him to check and said that it was indeed listed wrong as he measured it himself and again it measured at 40mm. The V3 is definitely 40mm so is the V4 bigger? So confused lol.
Very tempted. I have the black dial version 3 (purchased after seeing your review) The deal maker for me is that I can purchase off Amazon UK, unlike San Martin.
This Pagani Moonwatch homage uses the same Seiko movement as their Daytona homages, but unlike those, the chrono is actually usable because it has a proper elapsed minutes subdial. BUT... and its such a shame... that APPALLING vignette on the back... I guess there are two probable scenarios here: 1- It was designed by someone's little nephew at Pagani. 2- It was designed by a really lazy intern on a tight schedule. I understand that much of the allure of the original, and hence of the homage, is its history. This is The MOONWATCH, people. But no real space buff will be caught dead wearing this: I mean, why is a space shuttle on a moon mission, and on top of that, sporting a full booster stack? I saved a few more bucks and bought an honest-to-gawd poor man's Moonwatch: the Bulova Moon Pilot, which is all-around awesome BTW.
why isn't three enough when you then also have the ability to remove links from the band? I genuinely think you're nit picking here (and with the expandable clasp) because 100EUR barely buys you a budget room over night in a hotel in Helsinki ... hopefully the watch lasts longer than that. Good points about the bracelet and the sharpness of those links. Thanks for a good review.
They are equal quality overall. However the PD-1664 is more comfortable on the rubber strap, as the PD-1701 has sharp edges on the bracelet. Also consider the PD-1644 which is the bracelet version. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k For the same price, do you think I should go for the one with the bracelet or the rubber one? Can I replace the bracelet with a rubber one (and viceversa)?
@@watchreviews4k Thanks a lot. Just ordered a PD 1644 V2 for $59 USD (seems like there are hidden discounts). Great reviews man, keep up the good work!
AR must be really expensive to add because I've only noted one Pagani with it. But what an absolutely necessary feature on any well made watch. All the work in delivering a synthetic sapphire crystal, ceramic bezels, excellent dial work, some great movements like this mecaquartz, a perfectly adequate bracelet...yet it's all betrayed by skipping AR. A reflective crystal is a dead give away from 10 feet away that some dude is wearing an inexpensive watch. I would gladly pay for an upgraded AR coating option because a black or dark blue is a no go without it. I've returned too many Pagani watches simply because the dark dial was just too reflective. It absolutely ruins the look. Right now my favorite Paganis all have white dials, the IWC Power Reserve homage, the Tudor chronograph homage, the Paul Newman Daytona homage which I have in both white and black dials (probably my two favorites). I've been buying these Pagani beater watches while holding out for the Seiko Presage GMT in the navy "Fuji" dial to come down to a reasonable price ($1500 USD for +/- 27 is not that) but it may be while. The new Longines GMT is on my radar but these watch prices are just not justifiable for these level of mass produced movements. Pagani have excellent reale value. LOL.
@@watchreviews4k thanks for the list. I should have figured that my lefty GMT homage had AR. Unfortunately I had to return two before I ended up with a good one. The first had the cyclops magnifier applied off center, very obvious. I bought that directly from Paganis website and they were not prompt in offering to exchange it. They communicated through Facebook Messenger and I had to keep repeating the issue even after I sent them photos. In the meantime I ordered one from Amzn which arrived promptly but the winding crown was very stiff so that had to go back.
@@porscheoscar Sorry to hear of your troubles. Your PD-1662 Sprite wouldn't have had AR coating as it was the DG5833 powered version. They have just introduced AR on the new PD-1662's using the NH34A. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k oh that's interesting. I see they're marking up the AR coating version an additional $70. Which probably means the total price will be just over $200 on our websites here in the USA. Hmmm might be a tough sell for them. Definitely worth the extra money for AR and Japan movement. However in the current economy it probably means they'll not buy a second or third Pagani. Rolex and Pagani are facing the same headwinds.
@watchreviews4k In some chronograph watches I saw, one of the small sub dial contiusly moving full round very fast, what is that? Like in Buluva Lunar Pilot.

I've now watched several videos on this chanel during the last weeks, but unfortunately I can't get what the purpose of these reviews is. In particular: E.g. this Pagani watch (1701) has a cost of 100 USD (Oct 23) incl. shipment to Northamerica. But you won't get just the VK63 movement below 25 USD incl. shipment Means, we are talking about 75 USD for all the rest of the watch incl. assambly. In Europe just changing a VK63 movement would be more expensive!
It’s a nice piece except for the bracelet, you would think with 4 versions of the same model the could improve the bracelet. Honestly, a V2 with a better bracelet is all that I need. But I’m not gonna argue about spending 20-30 bucks more for this or that, bc Pagani won’t do that. Yet they added AR coating to some pieces, so there is still hope… Thanks for the review!

The case diameter is 42mm diameter. Regards, #WR4K
Very tempted. I have the black dial version 3 (purchased after seeing your review) The deal maker for me is that I can purchase off Amazon UK, unlike San Martin.
I want to dial panda. I'm confused between 1701, 1676, and 1644 because I only have 6 inch wrist, or do you have any recommendations?
The PD-1644 fits a 6" wrist best. Regards, #WR4K
pagani design the best . ⌚
This Pagani Moonwatch homage uses the same Seiko movement as their Daytona homages, but unlike those, the chrono is actually usable because it has a proper elapsed minutes subdial.
BUT... and its such a shame... that APPALLING vignette on the back...
I guess there are two probable scenarios here:
1- It was designed by someone's little nephew at Pagani.
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
Is it worth to get this one for $82 USD over the PD 1664 (Daytona Homage) which is now $72 USD?
They are equal quality overall. However the PD-1664 is more comfortable on the rubber strap, as the PD-1701 has sharp edges on the bracelet. Also consider the PD-1644 which is the bracelet version. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k For the same price, do you think I should go for the one with the bracelet or the rubber one? Can I replace the bracelet with a rubber one (and viceversa)?
No, the bracelet can't be fitted to the PD-1664 as the end links are part of the case. I recommend you buy the PD-1644. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k Thanks a lot. Just ordered a PD 1644 V2 for $59 USD (seems like there are hidden discounts). Great reviews man, keep up the good work!
@@valcron-1000 can you post the link please
LOL.
The; PD-1692, PD-1733, PD-1703, and new PD-1662 with NH34A, all use AR coating. Regards, #WR4K
100% agreed, nothing better than a sharp watch face and a crystal clear sapphire unhindered by glare
Rolex and Pagani are facing the same headwinds.
what about the microseconds?
I don't have anything to say regarding microseconds. Regards, #WR4K
@watchreviews4k In some chronograph watches I saw, one of the small sub dial contiusly moving full round very fast, what is that? Like in Buluva Lunar Pilot.
That is just the way the subdial runs when the chronograph is running. Regards, #WR4K

How childish.

Do with the v5
I've now watched several videos on this chanel during the last weeks, but unfortunately I can't get what the purpose of these reviews is. In particular: E.g. this Pagani watch (1701) has a cost of 100 USD (Oct 23) incl. shipment to Northamerica. But you won't get just the VK63 movement below 25 USD incl. shipment Means, we are talking about 75 USD for all the rest of the watch incl. assambly. In Europe just changing a VK63 movement would be more expensive!
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
Lack of ar coating is big récurrent issue with all those cheap Chinese watches ... Pity
The cheaper PD-2720 domed hardlex is AR coated
It’s a nice piece except for the bracelet, you would think with 4 versions of the same model the could improve the bracelet.
Honestly, a V2 with a better bracelet is all that I need.
But I’m not gonna argue about spending 20-30 bucks more for this or that, bc Pagani won’t do that.
Yet they added AR coating to some pieces, so there is still hope…
Thanks for the review!
on their sute it states its AR coated Saphire .... but hey, maybe they are not truthful. idk.
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
I got one and its defs got blue ar
Mine has it! Maybe V5? Mine is bought in 2024
I have a V4. And it has very thick AR
All homage are worthless infact Orient panda is better than it, Homage are like illegal child

It’s true, I’m illegal child
