      @@EVAUnit4A Thanks, I do hope you can make it by and see the video that was to be posted originally. Including 5 more aircraft that are much more unusual than those shown here. The number one plane being one of the strangest I have ever seen. Having said that, I do find it ironic how YT has decided to start suggesting the one video I was about to pull instead of the ones we have posted actually being enjoyed, which is pretty much every other video besides this one lol. Wed morning, I'll be posting the remake and I do believe you'll enjoy this new version, if these aircraft videos are normally something you'd have interest in of course.

    With the Colomban Cri-Cri I think you need to do more research... The plane first flew with 2 10 hp two cycle piston engines. The design was up-rated twice. I have plans for the Cri-Cri aircraft and NO WHERE do I find anything on a piston turbo jet engine. The ones fitted with turbo jet engines is something a builder decided to do, not how Michel Colomban designed the aircraft.

    I kind of wanted more background info on the aircraft. For example I discovered the Long-EZ when reading about the singer John Denver's death in 1997. It wasn't a bad design - he died because the fuel cock had been badly sited behind his shoulder by a kit builder - but its futuristic concept masked the fact that it needed a very long runway for t/o and landing. Not ideal in a light plane. Other snippets like that would have added some flesh to the vid's bones. Thanks anyway!

    • @mindseyedesign
      @mindseyedesign  5 років тому +2

      Good added insite thank you.

    • @jimbefit3073
      @jimbefit3073 5 років тому

      so, it needed a long runway for what it was, air brakes were an added option, don't remember by whom or how many put them on. Fantastic glide ratio was no secret. that FUTURISTIC concept was NOT for style, Purely Function, and Because of that- it had excellent range, incredibly outstanding fuel economy (half a commercial private plane) and gph was unmatched by any aircraft with a cruise speed as high as the long-ez. How much time you spend on the runway? how much time you spend in the air? a Kit plane you could actually GO somewhere further than the next town, faster than a car. and btw, how many planes have fuel caps on top of the wings and out of site??? it's not a stol troll.
