I’m just commenting to say I have no clue about smoke and fire alarms, but my 2 year old son loves your videos and asks me to play them constantly. He loves the noise of the alarms.
I’m amazed how collected you can be around all those fire alarms. I just have a fear of loud high pitched sounds. So when I’m near a fire alarm I kinda just die inside fearing I might set it off and get scared. Please note that if it does go off rather in practice or in actuality I am NOT the type of person to run and scream and make it as if the world is ending. But for some reason I love your videos! Maybe it’s a way on how I can conquer this dumb fear lol.
When I was younger I used to be afraid of fire sprinklers I use to not want to go in a building that had them But now it's the opposite and instead I pretty much refuse to go in buildings that don't have them because I just think what if there was a fire but there are fire extinguishers so that kind of comforts me a bit but still not as much as sprinklers would
I want to do ADT you know 10 UD fire alarm control panel and I'm going to use the ex-wave fire alarm it just said trouble reset fire alarm and it's because it said super virus and otherwise you need to use the 80 announciator and it has two of them has a fire drill button it has some stuff that has to say it said silence reset acknowledge and I need to use some keys I need to use some fire alarm keys and it's because I need a firelight bg-12 LX and then a fire like digital X so otherwise
That Edwards alarm is literally the exact same sound as the alarms both my middle and high school had. Both schools had a combination of those and some really loud Genesis horn/strobes (or at least I think they were Genesis, they could’ve been a different brand).
On that other simplex key activate only device, can you see three wires coming from the button. One is common, one is normally open, and one is normally closed. The normally open maybe connected.

I have a Firelite MS-4 which can only do continuous and code-3, do you know any possible way to achive a marchtime coding using my current panel? Been looking through sync modules without much success.
Unless you can find some kind of device to do that, I’m afraid not. March time isn’t really a thing with modern fire alarms so there’s not a big reason for them to put it on.

So my 8 yo son loves your videos and we watch them together as he’s found a new love and interest in fire alarms and has self taught himself about the different types. His birthday is coming up and was just curious to know how much it would cost to build a a smaller version of these wall panels with multiple alarms. And if there’s. He want a fire alarm but I told him none of them make sound. I’m probably not asking all the right questions lol. Is it possible to find a couple alarms with sound. Like a built in speaker for a kid?
My father used to work at simplex to test the fire alarm systems and he used to show me how they worked. And to test the sensors he would use a smoker device to test them.
@@SoonerStateSirens1 no because the only way a dialer will work is with a panel... unless you had a panel and connected everything, you won't have the police or fire dept there.
One minor wierd thing is when you set off a pull station it takes a hot minute for the panel to register one has been activated and turn on the horns and strobes
My dad was a fireman for Boise City and retired a captain about 30 years ago. He ran the switchboard for the fire department when it was separate from the police dispatcher. I remember the old outdoor Gamewell pole alarm call boxes around the city. I didn,t know if you have one of those yet.
