  • The 2018 Ford F-150 Limited is a really nice truck right out of the box. But it was lacking a little in the bass department. We solve that problem using JL Audio's Stealthbox with an XD600 amplifier and using Audio Control's LC2i to integrate with the factory system.

    Reading through some of the comments ppl have a point, look at it this way. You got us all worked up on what looked to be a nice system then just left it at that, not even a sample. I get that you want to put your best foot forward and play something that would show it off, but it does kinda suck to get that far and then just have the video end without any type of demo. Just some cunstructive criticism.

      But how do you know what these speakers sound like unless you're listening to it in person? Whatever you're watching this video on won't sound like whatever I'm showing, especially because I don't use a high end mic.

    What a clean install. Love seeing people take pride in their work. On that note, I've kicked the idea around for awhile. Some days the factory sub is enough bass for me, and other days, I wish it had a little more in her. I'm a huge fan of JL Audio, so it's nice to see they make a stealthbox for the F-150. Quick question, does the auto start/stop affect an aftermarket stereo?

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  Рік тому

      It can affect voltage depending how strong your battery is. You also have to find an "amp turn on signal" that doesn't cycle off when the engine turns off.

      AnthonyJ350 I also read a lot about using Forscan to level off the EQ or using PAC AP4-FD21to solve issues with these new F-150's. This simple sub install is going to turn into a full system. I am probably thinking to much into this. I prefer balance and clarity over window shaking bass.

      AnthonyJ350 ok thx for the info. Probably wait and see before i go with the pac. That would definitely double.the cost. So that amp input is max 10v. Is that stock subwoofer output gonna be ok or should i get the Lc2i?

      Fernando Gutierrez I'm honestly fresh out (only carry 1 at a time). Also for mono block I don't see the need. Isn't the PAC piece only going to benefit me for the EQ for the mid-range and make sure all the features work correctly if I do a 4 or 5 channel?

      Zigman You're better off with the amp pro from pac for that application if you're running that many channels. LC2i is just for bass. You'll have to figure out the speaker outputs with the LC6i. The amp pro is plug and play.
