Things may be changing in the NHS. A few months ago I had an appointment at a hospital. At the main entrance there was a big rainbow painted into the street outside. Today I had another appointment, the rainbow was gone.
My experience with this ideology is that it is incredibly biased. The assumption is always that the white employees have had an easy and wealthy background and everyone who is non-white has been tormented by white people. During my childhood my father became very ill and was hospitalized, with no income as he was self-employed. I was very aware of the reality my parents faced, even if my younger sisters were not. I also knew children whose parents had died, one whose parents had been murdered. The point is, none of us have had a life without challenges, so this constant harping about race and gender is an annoying waste of time, and only injects division where there previously had been none.

They (lefties, not employers, specifically) are working on it, and they HAVE managed to get a lot of people vehemently on board with absolute madness. I heard of a job offer, where BIPoC was the preferred applicant. Looking up the letters, I found that the I stood for "indigenous" which certainly does NOT mean, what they intended😅 It is a description of relativity: indigenous are all those people in a certain country that had been living there before any invasion of "diversity" started: whoever is descendant from those (and looking the part) is indigenous - track back your ancestors MORE than 555 years to the region you are living in, you certainly qualify. So any American with ancestors before the continent got flooded with European immigrants and deported Africans or even modern Asians is indigenous THERE. But in Europe you have to track church records, to check where you originated from: all the wars displaced Europeans from one small speck to another: French, Dutch, German and Irish immigants into Great Britain still look quite ingenious to me, if they happened more than 5 generations ago (European pale, so to speak)😅
@@LisaBeta-42Why the 555 number of years? What does that even mean or qualify for what is considered "indigenous" in an area or not? It sounds really ridiculous and arbitrary to me. The so-calked "indigenous" people of the US were not really indigenous there at all. They also migrated and were nomadic tribes, not living in cities of hundreds of thousands that were destroyed or anything of that nature. When they clashed in their own bloody battles with other tribes, it would have been over land and access to natural resources.
I’m in the US and my company had an online diversity training. One of the sections was about microsgressions. It would have these little cartoon scenarios where a microagression would take place and it would explain why it’s a microagression. Of course, in every scenario the person committing the microagression was white (shocker) with a very stereotypical white name. but my mouth dropped open during the one where the white person in question was depicted as a white woman named “Becky” where Becky says something ignorant to a Black coworker. Not sure if you know this but in the US Becky is a well known slang term that very popular among young Black people to describe a basic ignorant white girl. The companies who put these training together are run by “POC” - not only do I think that whoever created it knows what that word means, but I think using that name was done very intentionally and antagonistically know full well that any white person who catches on wouldn’t feel comfortable in saying something. The complete irony of doing a training on racial microagressions while simultaneously using pejorative terms to describe the white people in the skits is a great representation of this entire movement.

There's a DEI training package being rolled out to UK Businesses by McKinsey & Company citing Positive Discrimination in the work place and tenuously trying to link such training to the UK Equality Act and Anti-Discrimination Legislation. However, positive discrimination is unlawful in the UK. Positive action is acceptable for equally qualified candidates if it can be proven it was deemed warranted due to lack of representation. Even then Businesses are advised by the government to seek legal advice before pursuing such action. I had to point this out to my employer. There is the belief that immigrants want to allow more immigrants when the opposite is the case. Many if not a majority voted for Brexit. They understand better than most the dangers of open borders. The risk to their safety and the risk to maintaining their jobs. Immigrants who have been through a long process earning their citizenship are then offended when it is given away cheaply or for free.
In Australia the Australian government has asked their employee what their sexual orientation is which is actually against the Australian Privacy Principles. Staff were also asked if they believed there were more than 2 genders. Under the law the government cannot ask their employees anything that is not directly related to their job but in this instance, under DEI, they broke that law to gather information that will be given to ACON, which is Australia's version of Stonewall. The Australian government is so embedded in DEI, specifically gender identity, the government will overtly break its own law to profile staff. They said the survey, which contained these questions, that it would be anonymous but they asked sufficient questions about the staff member completing the questionaire which you could reasonably expect that most staff could be identified. This is abhorrent that our own government knew they were breaking the law and then when confronted by it said well it is a DEI survey, which means nothing, there is no exemption in the Australian Privacy Principles so they blatantly broke the law. And so has most corporations signed up with ACON who have given the same survey to staff as the APP's apply to government and industry that has a turnover of more than 3 million. We have a government and industry that are breaking laws to profile people.
One of the main victims of this are autistic spectrum people who are not good at concealing their true feelings. (I'm a bit that way). I'm in my mid 50s, when I entered employment, minorities (that includes women) in management positions were admired because they'd clearly got there by being better than those around them. Today, thanks to DEI, minorities in management positions are hated because the assumption is now that they're there because of DEI, not their ability. It 100% divides people. But that appears to be the goal...

Things may be changing in the NHS. A few months ago I had an appointment at a hospital. At the main entrance there was a big rainbow painted into the street outside. Today I had another appointment, the rainbow was gone.
INSANITY…
My experience with this ideology is that it is incredibly biased. The assumption is always that the white employees have had an easy and wealthy background and everyone who is non-white has been tormented by white people. During my childhood my father became very ill and was hospitalized, with no income as he was self-employed. I was very aware of the reality my parents faced, even if my younger sisters were not. I also knew children whose parents had died, one whose parents had been murdered. The point is, none of us have had a life without challenges, so this constant harping about race and gender is an annoying waste of time, and only injects division where there previously had been none.
I recently retired and took my pension at 55. I could not stand the stressful feeling of watching what i said, watching people get on and others left out, bullying. Offices are toxic environments
In my health training, I was corrected by the trainer. She said, "You can't say pregnant women, you have to say pregnant person". ..........I was shocked, I couldn't hold back.
An employer can make their employees attend these ridiculous sessions but they cannot make them believe the nonsense.
They (lefties, not employers, specifically) are working on it, and they HAVE managed to get a lot of people vehemently on board with absolute madness. Change what people are 'allowed' to say, and plenty will change how they think and not even realise it. That is why I believe that their LANGUAGE GAMES, the re-definings (gay, woke, rayzizt...) and euphemisms (gender-affirming, inclusion, unhoused) and existing term bastardizations (woman/man, -phobic,-hate-violence, Democracy) and creation of nonsense like 'trans' and 'Latinx' and 'cis male/female' are their MOST dangerous weapons that we need to be vigilantly aware of. Just think of all the things kids (and an amazingly discouraging amount of adults) now believe you can't even THINK about when it comes to gender and race, for instance. They are mentally 'self-forbidden' from rational thought through language censorship and social control already.
Calling something which is dehumanizing "ridilous" is a flaccid response. You wouldn't call a murder "ridiculous." You would call it evil. You wouldn't call a rape "ridiculous." You would call it evil. Antiwhiteism is evil, not "ridiculous."

I heard of a job offer, where BIPoC was the preferred applicant. Looking up the letters, I found that the I stood for "indigenous" which certainly does NOT mean, what they intended😅
It is a description of relativity: indigenous are all those people in a certain country that had been living there before any invasion of "diversity" started: whoever is descendant from those (and looking the part) is indigenous - track back your ancestors MORE than 555 years to the region you are living in, you certainly qualify.
They only wear the mask of compassion.

As they believed everyone should be vegan. Threw a chair. Had hissy fits. And left within a couple of week. And used the word, 'toxic' to describe the work environment when resigning.
Nobody did anything wrong.
They wanted the work place to bend to their will.
It didn't.

DEI ideology coming through the back door through US business consultants. Unfortunately a lot of HR departments who roll out training in the UK aren't aware of this fact and are promoting unlawful practices as acceptable when its an anathema to UK meritocracy.
