For the avoidance of any doubt, all spawnable vehicles on the Project Homecoming server (including those you've seen in Random Pain) are now available in Random All, except for the following: Blimpling, Derby Bus, Dump, Festival Bus, Fieldmaster (Snowy), Sawn-off Mammatus, Towtruck, VeryNegative Kuruma. In addition, the following disabled/non-spawnable vehicles are also now available in Random All only: Airtug, Caddy GHK, Cognoscenti Cabrio, Forklift, Hakuchou Drag, Ramp Buggy. We only saw vehicles from the excluded list in this race because it wasn't working properly, as mentioned. The above is the intended vehicle list and will be in place for all races going forward.
I am wondering why the cognoscenti cabrio was even on the non spawnable list. Just from its animation it is one of my most favourite cars and decently fast for its class (and age) too.
Was there some issue with it?
Anyways I like these changes and can't wait until the first air race between the oppressors and thruster happens during a random all.

@@mleroticf The cognoscenti cabrio is a default GTA V car and I think it has been out of the pool for years
Similar to the Cognoscenti, why has the Hakuchou Drag been disabled before this? That's just a normal motorcycle

i do like the new changes to random ALL, adding more bogey vehicles but keeping the Dune the biggest vehicle (when it works correctly!) does make it more varied -- i am against keeping the Blimpling in this pool tho: I'm all for cars that can ruin a race, but I'm not for something that completely softlocks you from finishing races, be it respawning into a low prop keeping you in perma-respawn, or a checkpoint somewhere you reasonably can't reach
granted, "just dont host tracks with such issues" but that'll severely limit track selection to effectively tracks that are random PAIN-safe :/
Agree with this, the Blimpling is probably the the only thing I would say needs to be removed now. Things should be able to get painful, but not THAT painful
A pity system could maybe solve the problem while still allowing the crazy vehicles e.g. if you respawn twice at the same checkpoint you automatically move to the next one for the third respawn.
Would still ruin your race but at least you would get the lap done.
@@TeeJee48 given your car selection is generated before you spawn on the grid, this is just extra coding work which can easily be abused and otherwise solved by removing said troublesome vehicle :D

Maybe move checkpoints on maps? Idk how feasible it’d be to adjust the checkpoints slightly, let alone not ruin the map if it’s moved a little
This race was an absolute riot to be watching live for. Watching it again here because it was just that good.
The unholy trinity got a speedboost though in the meantime, right? How do they compare to the airtug now?
Only the two slowest did (dozer and lawn mower). The tractor (and by extension the other two from the unholy trinity)is still slower than the airtug
I was about to ask the same question if the tractor also got a speed boost to overtake the Airtug for the latter to replace it in the Unholy Trinity.
This was the first Random All in a while that I felt compelled to watch until the end. Great stuff, that was the change we needed! Things got too boring without the crazy vehicles.
I have a feeling this is gonna be the peak era of random all with these changes. Would be cool to get a few more meme versions of cars if there's been any ideas brewing.

I can understand that people are sceptical about changing Gfred, but this is a brilliant change that I think everyone agrees on.
Awesome change, I'm glad Random ALL stands true to its name again 😃. This is an obvious (not for PH staff though) but brilliant change, that really was neccessary.
It is way more fun for the viewers and most drivers if all vehicles are available, including slow or difficult meme vehicles. The tryhards on the server of course have more interest in having only similarly fast cars available to make the victory dependend on skill, not luck, but diminishing the meaning of Random ALLs altogether. (That probably is the reason why the removals happened at all.) I have made multiple comments about the removal of cars and have seen other (negative) comments about it since it started, but I think Broughy never saw them, as it was always Dinmite replying with downplaying 😫🙈.
I have no idea how PH staff came to the idea to remove vehicles from Random ALL in the first place. The races got more and more boring (although still being worthwhile watching) because all the cars that Random ALLs were about got removed continuosly and silently.
All those cars were available once in Random ALLs. We saw the Airtug, different Caddies, the Forklift, the Drag King (wtf?), the Cutter... I'm a bit sceptical that the VeryNegative Kuruma is still not available though, that’s how the removal of too chaotic cars started. Let alone all those magnificent meme cars that once existed but were removed completely, like the elongated tractor.
broughy have seen those comments, only now he actually came up with a thorough suggestion to expand Random ALL -- these cars were removed before for various reasons: they were never in ALL in the first place, removed because at the time there we too many race enders compared to normal cars, broken handling, dead meme, someone abused hosting with it so it was removed, etc etc. We didn't "remove them continuously and silently" so no idea where you're getting that assumption from
specifically with stuff like the Tractor and Regina variants, the joke was overdone and it was cluttering everything, which was why they've been disabled across the whole server--the joke was done, its dead, let it die :D

An amazing change. Haven't enjoyed watching a random all as much as this in a little while, not that I've always enjoyed them, but this is definitely a fun improvement!
Finally! True random all is back. The neutered one never felt any different than random most.

Funnily enough, I've been toying around with the idea of a a "Turn 1 Practise Vehicle" which has a ramp in the back that will yeet anyone, who's not braking properly for T1.

A track that hasn't been used in a while, the Paleto Bay track (of course it having a small bridge doesn't help, but perfect track for random all) - I think it hasn't anyway, can't recall seeing it in a while!

I'd love to see a random all with as many of the vehicles as possible (on a track that can take them) and have it as an endurance race so 2.4 hours of randomness :)

if its players, we tried using OneSync to give us more player slots but the lag is so much worse overall so we're sticking with the normal 32

No it isn’t. It’s one of the excluded vehicles. It only shows up here due to the issues we talked about in the race.

I always wondered about the Cognescenti Cabrio and why we’d never seen it. Is there a reason it isn’t in the server?
It’s always been on the server and will now pop up in random alls, it’s just been disabled from being spawn able. I don’t know why though.
Looking at discord, something about bugged handling, not sure in what way or whether it's been sorted, guess we'll find out

Is there a way to do a randomall gfred? Maybe make a new one with more checkpoints along the routes (without restricting most options like the different ways to climb chilliad) and each checkpoint gives you a random car
I believe it’s possible but will be hard to do would be cool

@@lknight1266iirc it was made when UU races came out but it was very buggy given it was pc magic, maybe if the editor officially gets Unknown races then a regular one in Online can be made :D

random races never have duplicates unless the race goes longer than the total count of vehicles in the pool, which for random ALL is around 800
@@DiNmiTe I mean duplicates across all players. like it generated a list of random vehicles for you that won't roll over. But it doesn't take into account the other players.
There is enough cars in the list to give everyone 30 unique vehicles.
@@Veptis oh thats what you meant, yeah the lists are independent of each other---one person's selection doesn't influence the next person's selection, thats just how it was coded

The dev that can actually fiddle with the random all selection have not touched the code for PH properly in like a year+ and that was when he worked with a new hosting menu. So please, what is so transparent?
This was a good change, hopefully Broughy does it again with a more appropriate track for the race-ruining vehicles. And Lok cheated his way to the win again, somehow.

posted 9 hours ago as i write this but that was not the normal dump. it was that special dump because it had the GT wing on the back so maybe the exclusion didnt catch it because its different. like the dozer and LMP dozer we saw same vehicle shape but slightly different.
That _is_ the normal dump, the wing was a modded addition to the regular car
I got excited in thinking somehow the RNG of getting cars was becoming real time, and not set at the begining of the race. Finding this out like a year ago took away the magic of Random all for some reason
It's not very random when the winners consistently get the best vehicles more often than not.
That's the very nature of random races, those who finish well are mainly from the better car selection

Why not make it so that the respawn button puts you into a different vehicle and while people can respawn multiple times to get a fast car it takes 5 seconds each time so other drivers will be further ahead.
Then that defeats the point of getting any bad vehicle, if you can just respawn into a better one
Any seriously slow vehicle would mean you're better off respawning and that would probably already include things like surfer or faster. At that point just play random sporty.
A way to include vehicle change respawns that's reasonable gameplay wise is that it'd basically involve a counter on how often you changed and you'd then only be able to be ahead of people who changed equal or more than you. But I really don't know how feasible it is to code and how much interest there is in it.
I think there could be value in it over just excluding unwinnable cars as it'd also allow drivers to choose a very likely end position at the bottom of the list over having to do a lap in say an f620, but in the end it comes down to project homecoming staff's decision.
Maybe it was the influence of some salty racers that forgot it's Broughy's channel and not about them winning. Much better to have more bogey cars. Now all is needed is those cringe messages from the editor taken out.

I'm not a huge fan of Dinmite's lines/comments in the video like 13:29 . I strongly believe that he should stick to only writing useful info (which is completely fine). If he wants to write comments, he can write them here in the comment section, it's made for that and it's fine. Otherwise he's starting to look more and more cringe/craving for attention which is a bit off puting to watch. Just my opinion, nothing personal against him.
I'm okay with them but they shouldn't be intruding on the video like they did. When they appeared I was like what the fuck is this?
I have no problem with them, just make it a max of 3 comments.
If he had gotten any of the excluded vehicles he would immediately restart the race or postpone till it gets fixed, but because it's other players getting those broken vehicles and not him, he just goes "aww that's too bad" and carries on with the race.
