I’ve been there, my first F1 league race ever, driving the Toro Rosso in F1 2019 around Abu Dhabi, there was an SC roughly halfway through the race after I did my pit stop, everyone ahead of me was on old rubber so I got a good undercut that gave me the lead. As the SC ended and pulled to the pits, being in the lead, but never had any experience restarting after an SC, instead of blasting off into the distance, I spun in the exit of the last corner because of cold tyres💀💀
Thankfully I still got second place after recovering, but still… I’ve been there lol

I am in the video😮 i had a bad braking point xD was my first Race with the Car.
That turning to the left thing is part of the fanatec/gt7 bug either you lose FFB or the wheel continues to rotate especially on pit entry and some TT pause screens.
You have no way to know what direction the game registered. In the pits you can wrestle against it but race start it's a lottery sometimes.

Long time viewer here Steve, it was sad to see you not make it into the 24h of Nurburgring this year, I think that was the reason that race was the shortest race in the history of Nurburgring. I got a ps5 and a TV to start my GT7 journey but the prices for a wheel, even for the beginner ones are crazy. Do you do giveaways of your old setups? If you do, I would request for an entry. I am practically broke now 😂, but all the best for your future. GET IN THERE STEVE!!!

Got my ticket for the Gran Turismo event in Montreal. Going to be driving 6 hours to get there but it will be worth it.

Penalties, I've noticed, if you coast the most of the time when you're off track, you won't get one. So wait to get on the power once you return to the track and should be ok.

I did this Daily Race for a video on my second channel. Managed to not get any penalties. Even I cut corners accidently also off track, I decelerate for 0.5 seconds to avoid penalties. Got promoted to A on Driving Rate yesterday :)

I had that exact same start in a Mazda race on iracing. Dumped the clutch on the start and dead hooked right into a wall. Felt real real good about that

I've just been sim racing (if you can call it that) a Fiat 500 from 1965, and I keep thinking for a moment that you've sped up the footage for brevity!
First time I did this one was quite chaotic as well: People crashing glichty internet and all in all just poor demeanour plus I was driving the C9 which is awesome for quali-laps but terrible for the race.
However yesterday I got lucky and ended up in a very clean lobby with the right car.
I’ve had a start like that before lol wheel was turned from a previous wreck and never got it center before starting another race.

Don't know what pd messed up more: The penalty system, or the gr1 category (80s-90s cars shouldn't be in the same category as 2010 lmp cars and vgts)
