You're right, it used to be 4-5 and is now 6 seconds. Not sure when exactly the change took place but I know as a lifeguard we've been doing 6 for at least the last yearish

guys , keep in mind this was 5 years ago. they’re always testing and changing the US guidelines for CPR and rescue breaths.

no u did this wrong ur if hes not breathing u do adult rescue breathing for 2 mins and open airways
2 minutes of rescue breathing is about 24 cycles . And he did 24 cycles. Re checked and saw that the victim had no pulse.
