I love the CPR Instructor in this CPR video. I took 8 CPR and 4 first aid class. I save a teenager boy from drowning 5 year ago. God bless the CPR teacher.

On one is a perfect instructor and he's being filmed. There are several things here not to do but it comes down to just are YOU safe, will he wake up, call 911, push hard, push fast, turn on AED and just do what it says....shock may or may not happen. Doesn't matter, keep pushing and wait on EMS! :)

AED stands for "Automated External Defibrillator." It is the electronic unit with the sticky pads that administers the shock to a stopped heart. The video was designed to make people aware of the simplicity of operating the AED, and thus making them more likely to use it.

You need to close off the nostrils during the two breaths.

Use full bodyweight from shoulders with straight arms to do the compressions do NOT bend the elbows. Next failure to close nose while delivering rescue breaths so that's not good nor mentioning watching the rise of chest during delivery AND why the fuck does the instructor keep a peaked cap on while doing this - total failure to allow trainees to see what is happing. This is a great example of how NOT to do CRP training. Now fails to point out left and right sides of AED pads, but gains one point for talking about hairy sweating bodies. Depending on model of AED you will check for heart beat BEFORR returning to compressions otherwise you can be fighting to stop a beating heart. Is the patient normally on an office table ?
