Signaling Master Class 2023 Pathfinder Gathering

Attend the Survival Signaling Master Class at the 2023 Pathfinder Gathering. The Signaling Master Class will build upon basic Survival Signaling Skills and Principles to alert Search and Rescue or help of the survivors' need of rescue and aid. Students will learn the characteristics of Signaling as well as improvised signaling skills to alert Search and Rescue in a Survival Situation with or without a Signal Kit. Advanced Signaling options will be introduced and demonstrated to the students which they will then recreate to standard. Students, in teams, will be required to build Passive and Active, Night and Day as well as Visual and Auditory Signals within the allotted time frame. Signaling Items will be provided as well as natural materials for the students to create four Signals during the Final Practical Exercise that encompass all Survival Signaling Characteristics. At the end of the Master Class students will have learned and built upon basic signaling concepts, characteristics, and will have demonstrated advanced and improvised options reserved for the more advanced survival students.

About the instructor: Andrew Ogle is a survivalist with nearly 17 years of wilderness survival and instructor experience. He enlisted in the Army serving across the world in combat and operational environments in nearly every climate developing his survival knowledge and field skills. Andrew is an expert infantryman and a paratrooper. He is Ranger qualified, Airborne qualified, a graduate of the US Army’s Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape School (SERE) - Level C High Risk, and a Combat Infantryman having served multiple combat tours to Afghanistan and Iraq. Andrew has years of instructor experience, leading and training soldiers as well as partnered forces, and he is a former Combat Advisor. He is an expert at Land Navigation, Wilderness Medical Aid, and Small Group Leadership. He is skilled in swampland, mountainous, and desert survival. Andrew is currently employed as an Instructor for the Pathfinder School LLC and can be reached via his UA-cam Channel “Ranger Survival and Field Craft” and social media pages of the same name.
