I built my entire UA-cam channel around tuning the microsquirt. I would love to buy one of these when it becomes available 🙌 please keep us updated as it becomes available
This is definitely the big problem for it in a lot of cases... I have the new Haltech pre-ordered for a DBW LS3 project, and that is exciting. Even can do cruise control! But man, MS3 is really awesome for a lot of stuff.
It's the algorithms fault... But seriously, you'd think that it would be easily integrated or have an option for a model with or without dbw. Or solder your own dbw circuit board controller...
So nice to see you playing with this again and great to see EFI come out with a new product. I would have never bought a Holley if this existed. They are quickly pricing themselves out and milking their market.
@@chipcurrey653 The Aces is a very crude ECU with fuel and timing tables that are half the size of the stock ECU let alone the Holley, it also lacks the flexibility to create custom tables like you can with the Holley.
had my golb box since they came out. incredible capability for a low price. Mike at EFI source is always helpful !! Thanks matt for the tuning classes years ago!!
been waiting for "dropbear" to come in stock for nearly 2 years, will be buying one of these as soon as they are released. big holley fan but cant justify the cost for a car that is driven 5 times a year. love my microsquirt for that exact reason.
I like it….just bought a new gold box that I don’t even need. My original gold box is probably 5 years old and never had not one issue. Holley Terminator x I own likes to kill crank sensors.
I’d love to see it on a Neon for selfish reasons. I road race them and I’m ready to move on from oem ecus. I have considered my old micro from my ls fox body and trying to make it run the 2.4 with LS coils. Apparently there is native support for early and late Neon/PT cam and crank signals.
Was really hopeful for a microsquirt v4 with another spark output but doesnt look like it, so i guess i know what im getting now. Instead of a ms3 pro module crammed into an audi ecu case. So excited hope its out before May.
I want to see you try out the aces fuel injection for LS's. Give us your opinion on it, for a 24x/58x trans control it's about $1000, for just engine stand alone it's $870. Pretty cheap considering what it comes with. It'd be cool to see your opinion on it. What's interesting is that the reluctror is selectable on the units handheld touch screen, so one unit can do either 24 or 58.
You got me into the ms family with a microsquirt, now on to the ms3pro. I believe the gold lite may be something i try to get our customers into in the future. The price point will leave a nice margin for getting people on board with a standalone with full sequential. Did you get any hint as to when they may be shooting for a release? I also think that with the packaging size that making a case that would hold that along with a raspberry pi or similar for an all in one dash and ecu would be in line with being competitive with another couple ecu manufacturers...
So this will do everything my gold box does minus 2 injector drivers? I love my gold box, it's been flawless but my only complaint is its size. It's just hard to find a place to put it when you are still running a complete full interior car.
it has a micro usb connector now, and everyone has voiced they would like usb C and I believe that will happen next revision as they are looking into that already. you would get a cable that plugs in to that and can get the data and you're set
@@SloppyMechanics I'm sitting here foaming at the mouth. Monster jam requires all our monster trucks to have EFI. Want to try this little guy out on blown Alky
No it does not, I talked about this in the video that they thought about integrating one of those and it ends up being a failure point. They’re working right now with a zeitronix can bus wideband so it doesn’t use up any IO and I’ll have to learn more about they but you can still plug in the conventional wideband output into the ecu
@@SloppyMechanicsand 14point7 has canbus on their spartan 3. I agree with them, I like not having built in wideband. Gives you options for the future and not being locked into something.
yes you need a micro trans controller separate however the 2 can be linked threw CAN and controlled with the software in one place so it actually works as one unit once linked. @@Mexicanracing
I know this will be well supported by EFI source, but there's been a lot of new players pop up in this space that have more capable ecu's (WB and DBW) for far less money. And yeah, let micro USB die already.

you and matt's instructional videos on tunerstudio are why I have a turbo foxbody! Thanks to both of you (and EFI source for the pnp microsquirt)

@@AngryBengry thanks 🙏 I’m glad the videos are helpful
The ms3mini was released couple days ago on diy I also have turbo e28 and will be swapping my micro out already purchased!
@@michaelcleary5205 The MS3Mini doesn't hold a candle to this. No IAC stepper, less spark outputs, less I/O. Epic fail.
MS is starting to feel really dated. The micro USB doesn't help, but the lack of throttle by wire leaves out a lot of possibilities.

@@garyhowe88 i know.. just jumping on board with the idea of you'd think that it would come dbw capable. If it is as common as it is...
It’s tough they have to work within the confines of the ms company and licensing
Getting one as soon as it comes out. My Gold Box has been flawless for 4 years and this will work perfect for an LS swap I've been planing.

Indeed!
Excited for this. I still run the gold box on all my cars. I love MS, prefer it over the Holley stuff.
i have no doubt holley is selling their stuff at a loss to drive these folks out of business
We need a new Don't BS me build using this ECU and the best cam. Back to the old days of purple intercooler piping!
Maybe we can do this on truck and best cam and a turdblow
Periwinkle strikes again.
I've been asking for this since MS3 first came out...Finally! My good Friends at EFI Source came through! Can't wait to test it out!
Yup, I'm in. I love my micro setup and the stuff you can do with it (tablet dash and such).
Very cool definitely a good upgrade from the micro squirt
Ill be grabbing one when it comes out. Have been thinking about going micro but this is sweet.

I've seen companies lately using mini USB still.

Definitely interested in trying this. I loved my MicroSquirt turbo LS
This is great! They should sell it with just a connector and pins so you can build your own harness
you could buy the flying lead and then get all the connectors for the engine side from monkey fab
It's a horrible molex connector, unsure if it's even a real molex connector as it is an aliexpress case that comes with that connector.
Awesome, please install on a neon!

Could this work as a secondary injector driver for the LT1 guys?
Yes

Well they don't have any hardware to control the 6l80 yet, so...
How does the header plug take a 20awg wire ?

Does the gold lite work better than a flesh lite?

Now update the serial port on the micros .

Build a gen 5 direct injected setup

does this have on board wifi or bluetooth? still uses the rs232 module?
It does not have any wireless connectivity built in
