- After the discussion of how Hasbro has handled the Power Rangers brands, I made a video speculation what if would look like if Saban Brands still owned the Brand. In todays video I thought I would specualate on what I think it would look like if Disney still owned the franchise.

I still wish we had the more character driven stories that Disney gave us for power rangers and in my opinion most of the more fun and rewatchable pr shows come from Disney.
And also it would be perfect having power rangers under the supervisor of Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios!
What Hasbro is doing is wasting our time.
@@Knighthokie23not anymore maybe in the 2010s. Now they are messing up everything with DEI and woke messaging
I have to agree, aside from Mystic Force I love Ninja Storm-RPM. Some of them were even better than the Sentai they were adapted from, and even the ones that weren't improved upon lesser aspects of the Sentai.
@@Dinobolt1 they put good competent people in charge. Saban has a Problem with putting his kin in positions they don't deserve. And Hasbro is woke so that speaks for itself
@@JSmoothSoul I know. I forgot to mention that I only grew up with Mighty Moprhin'-Time Force and didn't see any others until Linkara's History of Power Rangers series inspired me to so I have no nostalgia to affect my glowing critique for most of the Disney era.
If Disney still owned Power Rangers, I see 2 possible outcomes.
Outcome A: The show just goes into an infinite rerun loop of MMPR through RPM until the brand just goes dormant and just be resting in the confines of the Disney Vault until they make like a hypothetical Disney Plus revival.
Outcome B: The show keeps going with new seasons, they do the senisble thing and put show on Disney XD where it becomes a juggernaut and be one of the major tentpoles of the Disney empire next to Marvel and Star Wars. Where we wouldn't worry about those weird half season approach, and the franchise thrives into the Disney Plus era.(IDK if we'd get the comics, any new movies, or a reboot, or if Bandai of America would stil be in charge of the toys.)
But hey, I ultimately belive that Outcome A is a more likely scenario, because again Power Rangers probably wouldn't be as big of a priority brand for Disney as Marvel or Star Wars. Again, too many theoreticals to consider for a clear cut answer.
I do not see power rangers becoming one of the biggest franchises ofat ever again so no it wouldn’t massive juggernaut but still would been good under Disney
Couldn't have said it better myself. (outcome B) No hiatuses, no 20-episode-per-season limits and consistant airing times.
Man I missed the Jetix Days, so many memories.
I know!!! Jetix was the best.
I can most definitely see a power rangers show on Disney plus
I guess they technically still could cause if you really think about it, a lot of the shows and movies on Disney+ are not even anything related to Disney.
I actually have a different theory about this. I think if Disney still owned Power Rangers, after the success of The Avengers: I think they would have looked into incorporating the franchise into the MCU. They'd probably split away from adapting Sentai and focus on doing a live action film.
Stan Lee was a massive fan of the show, as he was even eying the idea of adapting Super Sentai prior to Power Rangers, there's also a video on UA-cam out there where he crashed Jason David Franks panel at Wizard World.
Even though Disney Hated it the quality was still far superior than what came after. They got real actors with decent experience to play roles - From Samurai to the last season it felt like most of the actors were mere super models who took acting classes. They couldn't even put out enough budget for that alone.
With children getting more and more emotionally intelligent, no wonder they barely resonated with them. Feels like they were only reading a mere script and not acting.
Nah I say though Power Rangers drop after rpm I say we had a few good spots Dino Charge, Beast Morphers S1 and Dino Fury
@@emmanuelsebi6964I’d also throw Samurai and Dino Charge season 1 in there as good spots.
Dino Thunder, Mystic, Overdrive and Jungle Fury were some of the best seasons
@@manuelorozco7760 If you cut out overdrive then I can ageee
@@arhamsyed3310 though the Dino Super charge finale the whole season was okay. Samurai triggered me because i can't for the life of me stop despising Jayden Shiba.
If Disney owns that’s they could collaborate with franchises that Disney owns like pixer marvel or Star Wars
What if Disney still owned power rangers:
My dreams: Life could be a dream song plays in the background
WE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN SAMURAI, MEGAFORCE, DINO CHARGE, NINJA STEEL, ETC., EXCEPT WITHOUT THE SUPER SEASONS!
I mean, we know what would have happened if Disney still owned the franchise. The show would have been cancelled, we would have likely gotten at least Season 2 of the Reversioned edition, and the MMPR-as-Samurai toyline would have gone through.
2:09 It’s ABC Kids. ABC Family stopped aring Power Rangers when they dropped the Jetix Block.
Actually ABC Family kept airing Power Rangers til 2006 during Mystic Force.
@@stephenholloway6893 I know
I personally can already envision whatever DOSM said because it could an speculation in the case that Disney would just go on auto-pilot on Power Rangers in which it an interesting case. I do agree that Disney is more in the middle-ground between Saban and Hasbro.
This video is very well-said.
The three shows I remember from Disney Channel were Phineas and Ferb which later would sometimes air reruns on Disney XD, Dog with a Blog which I could never figure out whether it was a boys show or girls show, but sure, the dog was the main character, and Gravity Falls, which I never watched.
If Disney Still Owned Power Rangers? It would be cool.
And that's so crazy to say. Every brand has had a major problem with making power rangers uncool. How beast Morphers made Go buster uncool still boggles my mind.
@@JSmoothSoulgo buster was alr unsuccessful in Japan there’s a reason why they skipped it
I think Disney, if they still owned PR (was never bought back by Saban), they would just sit on it and do nothing with it. They gave us many good seasons, but near the end they stopped caring, and gave us that godawful season 1 remaster... I'm pretty sure after they did that, they had nothing left on the table. I left this comment before watching, btw.
Nah, Disney would just cancel it altogether, given what we heard what happened behind the scenes during their ownership of PR
First and foremost, I need to know where you got the once a ranger shirt. Also, the Disney era is my favorite era of Power Rangers. For a company that was absolutely on autopilot, they did not miss once.
Disney+ would be the perfect home for PR as a legacy series. The targeted audience for Disney+ is family & children anwyay, it's the perfect place for it to at least exist!
Disney owning it again is my "perfect world" wish. If they treated it like Marvel & Star Wars, honoring old seasons with specials and short series while still producing new stuff to propel the franchise forward, it would be huge. To the point that they could cut ties with Sentai very quickly and totally do their own thing. I would've liked to see Disney's take on Gokaiger, I don't think they'd waste the oppurtunity for a full blown anniversary season with old and new characters like Once A Ranger. I also think Disney is the only one that could've truly taken on Kyuranger to the it's full capacity with a dozen fleshed out characters and big set piece alien worlds.
giving the current events Hasbro has shown themselves to be the worst owner of the franchise ever. Even Neo Saban put in more money and effort with Samurai dino charge and the movie and comics
I agree because they were in the Disney’s parade like the past 20-15 years ago
So Disney executives didn’t think that Power Rangers would fit on the channel about boys! I don’t think a lot of girls watch Power Rangers! At least when I was little, I didn’t know too many girls that did!
Let's say Universal bought Marvel first and so Disney had to put a bit more. In that case, Disney still gets Star Wars and everything that entails, so I think Hasbro would still make the toys for it as a Disney+ show because of the relationship from Star Wars and instead of Phineas and Ferb vs Marvel, they would bring back rangers from different eras because Doofenshirtz is temporarily used as a Vessel for a past villain. TBH, if RPM went to Disney XD, I think Disney would still need to be sold on Shinkenger because of the heavy kanji use. If they could get past that, I think Aaron Stone would've gotten a third season and would have kept adapting til Gokaiger because it was an anniversary and having the Legend War as a series finale would make sense (unless they saw how Go-Busters would be worth doing as an RPM throwback, but then they would probably do Kyoryuger because dinosaurs and then ditch the show after that)
DISNEY STILL WOULD HAVE WENT WITH SAMURAI AFTER RPM!
While PR would likely be dormant & such. Here is a possible best case scenario, either Saban partners with Disney, or someone[s] from Disney cares enough to make PR continue. Either way, this would mean Samurai & beyond will be 1 season & 30ish eps & the 20th season would be relatively different. & since no sentai seasons will be skipped to adapt that means the 25th season will be Zyuohger, & Zenkaiger would be the 30th anniversary & it may all be on Disney Plus+
Hey would you be interested in doing a video on what if Saban Brands adapted Kamen Rider how do you think things would've turn out.
Crazy how Disney not caring about the franchise made the franchise better
If Disney still owned it, it would’ve been dead since 2010. Which honestly isn’t that bad of a thing considering how much of an embarrassment Neo Saban was. Personally, I don’t even count those seasons. And I say that as a fan of the OG Saban era.
Samurai was popular and it wasn't embarrassing. It was megaforce upwards that just destroyed the show piece by piece. It became a parody of itself
@@JSmoothSoul I’m not talking about popularity. Relative to what proceeded it, it was horrible.
@@JSmoothSoulsamurai was received horribly don’t let gen z convince you into believing samurai was good to summarize samurai and megaforce: just watch shinkenger and gokaiger
@@Deity_devil it had some of the highest ratings post mmpr in the entire franchise. In Space and SPD were the only seasons that had high ratings
@@JSmoothSoulthat was mainly due to nostalgia and not because it was great
How many seasons Disney owned?
They owned seven seasons
Sometime ago I thought the re-version was the precursor to the comics timeline involving lord Drakkon.
Very cool video mister dosmrider
When Disney had it they did the good character development. Biggest proof dino thunder. Connor looks different at the end.
Disney would’ve probably led it to the 20th, did the Gokaiger footage season as the “final season” had it ended up on Disney XD as initially slotted. At least in theory.
People are forgetting that if Disney still owned pr they would be doing reruns instead of adapting new sentai
Before I even see the full video. IF THEY STILL OWNED IT! We would have continued to progress in the quality and aging up the show, almost to the levels of the cheesy CW superhero shows minus adult jokes. It would be flash and super girl etc level of acting and action.
that would mean they would use the same name still for a two season series as Super and that name makes it difficult for a ranger series to have another Sentai show to adapt theirs Jungle Fury for one whole season for 32 episodes from 48 episodes of Gekiranger every series from Suoer Sentai that has 48 to 49 episodes and adapt them into 32 to 33 or more episodes for one whole season I think the reason for Super is they used the counterpart name of Power Rangers used for Dino Charge and four other shows to be called Super for a second season except for Beast Morphers that didn’t have Super in the name which I’m good for that to be called the same name for two seasons without the Super in the name and i prefer Saban over Disney they would adapt Kyuranger correctly as it is meant to be not the way that Disney did it
i love disney and power ranger is agree you 100%
what if they make a Power ranger series but its animated ??
@DosmRider What if MMPR Had a Crossover with VR Troopers during Season 2 ?
Disney would have probably ruined it right now currently but a while back it was awesome and my childhood so 🤷 to me it’s all over the place
If Disney still owned Power Rangers, maybe just maybe, they and Square Enix could make a Kingdom Hearts level based on Mighty Morphin...
I Agree, But, Dont Go Back To The Kalish Era, And Do It Right, By Adapting EVERY Sentai Season Every Year As A Single Season, With 44 Filler-Free Episodes, Rather Than Stopping It, After RPM, When Saban Took It Away.
If Disney kept power rangers, the Jetix channel remains and here’s the line-up 2010 power rangers samurai (shinkenger), 2011 power rangers megaforce (goseiger), 2012 power rangers super legends (Gokaiger), 2013 power rangers cyber corps (go-busters), 2014 power rangers Dino charge (kyoryuger), 2015 power rangers TQG (toqger), 2016 power rangers ninja steel (Ninninger), 2017 power rangers beast Morphers (Zyuohger), 2018 power rangers space voyagers (Kyuranger), 2019 power rangers dual justice (Lupinranger vs pataranger), 2020 power rangers Dino knights (Ryusoulger), 2021 power rangers Hyperforce (kirameiger), 2022 mighty Mecha power rangers (zenkaiger), 2023 power rangers ninja fury (Donbrothers), 2024 power rangers bug patrol (kingohger), 2025 power rangers fusion drive (Boomboomger). Also the masked rider series would happen. Dragon Knight remains but story is somewhat different.
Disney gave just as much love care to Power Rangers as OG Saban did (even though OG Saban was still the definitive). In fact, I think Disney would've made a MUCH better adaptation of Gokaiger.
This just makes me wish the CEO of Hasbro prior to Cocks would havr lived just a little longer so someone other than Chris Cicks would have been able to carry the visionnhad for gaining Power Rangers as well as the attenots at reviving more toylines like Mask, Microman, and Rom the Space Knight.
I'm mixed given to what happened to Disney recently especially star wars
With modern Disney? It'd be absolutely horrible. The franchise would be completely dead instead of just struggling. If Disney can utterly ruin and destroy pop culture juggernauts like Star Wars and Marvel and grind all interest and love for them into the dust, Power Rangers would have no chance of bouncing back from their tyranny.
WHAT IF The Walt Disney Company STILL OWN POWER RANGERS
We would probably get a KingOhger adaption
Kalishplosion is what would happen
I think Disney or another good streaming service should buy power rangers like maybe Amazon prime would be cool.
They would crossover with the MCU which sounds like it could be a good idea not gonna lie. They could be from another universe so it doesn't break continuity.
Disney would mess it up like they did with Star Wars. Then when it does poorly and it gets criticized then they cry saying it wasn’t for those people criticizing it.
If they did, they would just keep adapting every sentai every year. Super megaforce would be a different cast. Cosmic fury wouldn't exist. We'd prolly be getting a king ohger adaptation rn
If Disney still owned it there would be no comics, no movies, no collector's toyline and the show would just be on auto-pilot until it starts reaching seasonal rot for running for too long, like SpongeBob or The Simpsons.
If they still owned it and actually *cared* about the IP, that would be a different conversation.
There was still comics during the Disney era lol
@@donting24there where? Well they where forgettable
I think, if is not going to Disney+ 0:56
Can you imagine Disney trying to adapt LuPat? Lol
my favorite crossover as disney character reaction power ranger is brother of kamen rider and super sentai
The best era was In Space to Wild force. Itmade power rangers a real show and created all the troups we love. Its build power rangers disney just followed that forulma without Saban getting in the way.
I agree. I will say that the acting was better in Disney but personally I just loved the style and approach during the In Space through Wild Force era. I always felt like Disney toned it down a bit in some ways up until RPM, of course.
I think if Disney still owned it we wouldn’t have made it to the 30th anniversary cause the probably would’ve cancelled it after rpm and we may not have gotten that terrible version of mmpr where it was clearly made like it was to try and hide as much of the violence as they could even though sanban had his issue in his second era at least he kept it going and had ideas for the franchise unlike Disney who just let it run on autopilot form ninja storm to rpm cause they got the franchise halfway through wild force
As much as people like to sugar coat it
Disney drove pr into the ground much like everything they own...😒
Yeah it would bad to worse
I honestly think Disney would have eventually just dubbed the sentai, they would not run two different superhero properties aimed at boys
Maybe rather just focusing on toy sales, and air the Sentai as a niche thing for sueprfans
SPD was my first season. So I would be surprised if Disney kept PR. But now with Marvel that would be some real superhero fatigue. RPM and Ninja Storm are the least enjoyable Disney era seasons! Unpopular Opinion
If Disney still owned Power Rangers... It would not be going... It would be in the Disney vault or Disney would started editing things because it could be "offensive" to some. OR goes down the drain like Star Wars and Marvel lol
So you’re not a fan of the current production of Marvel or Star Wars?
It would be worse. FAR worse. If what they did to Star Wars is any indication, Power Rangers would have no chance.
Hasbro is a company that was good track record they do G.I joe, Transformers, Beast Morphers, I really like was hasbro was able to do so far that the only reason why that had to take year if it because JDF sucicde he is a fan favorite that most fan fiction related on that he had many roles in different roles with the main line canon of the show that the Morphian Gird fandom immortalize is spirit as a warrior spirit one and always was I think paying respeact the rangers current and past as of 2023 that why think had to pause production until 2025
Disney would’ve made a couple more seasons, then be cancelled for a 2nd time and sell Power Rangers to whomever wanted it most.
We have better and unique openings I know that much
X-MEN '97 > today's Power Rangers or what's left of it.
It would would be abomination like all their other properties they have it will make no money and the merchandise will go to Ollies to die.
I think it would be a wise decision for Disney to own power rangers! Heck, they would even join forces with Saban and Playmates as well as Toei to do more Sentai Adapted seasons for the near future. For example, it was doen by Buena Vista while I was watching three of my Power Rangers videos on VHS which are Wild Force and each Ninja Storm, I also used to watch them on Family Channel as well as ABC. not only that, I even saw an image of a red power ranger along with some Disney Characters in a store on time at a car show back in 2007.
They would have never bought Marvel which is both a good and a bad thing.
I hope they're working on a new super sentient adaptation into power rangers
Current Disney is not the same as Disney from the early 2000s, or the Disney that cared about the family household. Considering they're going to great lengths now to kill franchises like Star Wars, Marvel and more to push their grooming weirdo agenda, they are just as bad as Hasbro. I won't go on a long list of reasons because of how you say its some ''weird thing with fans'' blah blah, when fans call out all of the woke crap in everything, and now even more people are seeing it and are tired of it. It's pointless to convince someone of something but its fun watching people now backtrack on what they say about people that disagree with them when they start to see their franchises all go to hell. I just wont say I told you so, but in the end we all want our franchises to succeed and keep going on but todays companies really just hate the fans of everything.
If Power Rangers ever goes animated, that might be our only hope of getting TV crossovers with other brands again. Mainly Transformers and Phineas and Ferb.
I think Boonboomger could work as a Power Ranger series and maybe it could be adapted as a sequel to RPM in the same universe but just a bunch of years after the events of the show.
Would expect an awful crossover with the also awful show Phineas & Ferb.
They would make it boring! Thank goodness they don’t own it anymore!
It would still produce until popularity rises.
Disney would probably make it worse than it already is. They wouldn’t even try to be subtle about Izzy and Fern. They would rub it in your face every chance they got.
As much as I love the Disney era of PR, I feel like Disney+ nowadays would give us the equivalent to something like The Acolyte. Out of touch writers who would go against all that has been established but still trying to mask it with stylistic visual choices.
I’ve taken a break from Star Wars since Obi Wan Kenobi. So I don’t know if I agree with you or not.
Thats make it about the 🌈 people
Disney juat makes everything gay.
It will still be bad. Disney would still make power rangers woke at this time period.
I agree because they were in the Disney’s parade like the past 20-15 years ago
I agree because they were in the Disney’s parade like the past 20, 15 years ago
