Did anybody notice that in the first video of the guy waving from Fort Madison, there was a pre-teen girl with a thick mane of light brown hair who seemed either depressed or just disinterested in what the adults were doing?

This last weekend was Hot August Nights in Reno, Nevada, where I live. They turn the main drag into a classic car venue with classic cars being on display at the casinos, free concerts (sometimes by big artists), and plenty of displays. I did not attend any events, but I sure saw some really cool cars on my excursions. A couple of weeks ago we were going from Reno to Idaho Falls, Idaho for a family wedding. Between Reno and Winnemucca is one of the main lines of Union Pacific. There were a lot of trains, and most of the engines looked rather beat up. I guess the mountain trains don't get the love that the plains trains get.

I've never seen strings of locos like BNSF has in my entire life on any other RR. I used to see Conrail and CSX send packs of units to be repaired, but they were never in the numbers BNSF has. Maybe 10 tops. Biggest one I ever saw was on CR with a bunch of wrecked units and units with smoked up windows due to fires heading to Altoona to get fixed up. That one had 12, I think.

One or two at the front, sometimes one at the back. In the right weather conditions you can tell by the heat haze above the exhaust of the working units, and at some cameras, from when you can hear engine noise.
13:30 CN C44-9W 2200 Only 4 of these teardrop dash 9s were made with that specific Conrail like cab specification, I’ve only seen one in service, 2203 two times In 1 month on the same train 2 times. Some ES44DCs Have gotten this specification too, like CN 2222.
Its a cryin' shame that NS doesn't care for and keep clean all of their revenue generating rolling stock the same way they do their Executive Coach cars.
Yeah I bought it for a project. I used to own an autobody shop, but now I’m disgruntled with my town. So I might fix that CAT up as a second car of sorts….
The Chehalis WA videos are best when no one is "playing" with the pan/tilt/zoom controls. The track is too close for panning a moving train. Please stop.

The green color of all the airframes is actually that of a protective polymer wrap.
The fuselage still gets painted, the passenger railcars are already in their final form.
Thought for sure you would have had the BNSF passenger service that went through Revelstoke at 3:30pm on Saturday

It's a Scale Test Car. There are weighing scales built into the tracks in certain areas, they use that car to make sure the scales are accurate.
