This seems to be a common issue with this particular saw. Hopefully they will get these issues worked out.

The Hutzl/Farmertec 372's seem to have some excellent reviews and large following now. May get myself 1 of their 395's before to long.
That saw seems to have major quality issues and it's ment to be their "pro" saw🤣
They can't even make a decent strong side cover! On the other hand the Farmertec 1's are excellent.

At least since you ran it you can pop off the cylinder and see what they are working with… compare their piston and cylinder finish quality and that kinda stuff… toss the wheel on it and see where they are taking them before they ship them out… I’d love to see how much better they look on the inside then a Farmertec version??? I’m super curious to see that!’n

Think some people get good ones and some get ones put together on a Friday or mon. Got a holzfarma couple months ago. I also have the real thing after minor carb. adjustment I see no difference. Couldn't be happier. the off switch doesn't always work but whatever. Have had them all over the years 3rd gen arborist. Best saw I ever bought for the price.

I have a hutzl farmertech 372 and it had the same issue. I slammed my head against the wall for a few weeks trying to figure it out after carb swaps and coils etc. Fuel tanks and vents I bought a zama carb that someone on a forum suggested and it finally runs a lot better. Still not completely correct but runs way faster and is usable.

Check the bottom end housing on the inside under gasket when you take the cylinder off . The molding cast is way off and it is not formed where the piston hits at very bottom . It'll work but it's wrong. I've got to finish a job and am depending on this saw ...,.no B.S. and when finished will tear apart and correct it . If it breaks , I will be contacting people. But no worries , I'll fix their lack of efforts .

The HLIC carbs on the Farmertec 372 are notorious for this issue. Some folks believe that the Nimtek on Amazon is a good replacement but I've not had good luck with those. However if you put a walbro on it, she'll spool 13k no problem. I don't have any good experience with Neotec but for a handful of 660's that I was asked to build and they had some issues. However I'm told they are FAR more responsive to quality input than Farmertec.

I do wonder though if there's a QC problem or a design flaw every now and then with the saws.

I have unlocked the key to the chinese chainsaw industry, i mean really and seriously. I also can provide the highest quality professional grade saws available anywhere on that side of the world. That being said, check me out of coarse, but as far as your comment about chinese companies wanting to know about their products, they actually dont have anyone testing their products like we do here. And their people that build these saws have no concept of what the machine does. Ive improved one factories line of one model and im developing two other model variations, customization for functionality. You can kind of see what im talking about from the videos, on my channel, have an 070 with a cylinder the size of an 880, more torque less speed. The 372s im getting have been used daily, professionally for a few years now. Im really happy with them. I finally made contact with NeoTec today, been trying for a few years to reach them. I may test some of their saws, and i already knew what you discovered in the carb advertising. Thats where folks make mistakes, truth in advertising. Have a look at my channel, no fancy editing, but lots of content of the good and the bad.

Clearly, you have not watched all my other videos on this saw. It isn't just the chain. There was lots wrong with it, and it is downright silly to suggest that I thought the saw was bad because of a dull chain. Jesus. What do you think I am, a toddler? The timing was so far off, I had to remove 60% of the key advancing it. chain.ua-cam.com/video/xe_SgNbBuP0/v-deo.htmlsi=1ukliwGLF_oRZAJt

It’s new, so look for an assembly error. Compression, timing and carb assembled correctly.

Denton I buy some $9 dollar ones on eBay that are actually within a couple hundred rpm’s of my $100 dollar ….321148216742 that’s the eBay item number… pm me if that doesn’t get you to it and I’ll send you a screenshot of the cheap ones I send out with all my saw build’s… I’ve found that the cheapO’s are within 400 rpm’s or so … that’s just something that you stay conscious of… although my ported saw’s will spin 14,500 of 14,800 I don’t tune them that high… you want to be tuning in the cut.. when you twist your wrist and you are pushing your saw into the log it should stop 4-stroking and just sing through… I’m around 11,800 12,200 I don’t let my saw’s free rev up into the outer stratosphere because a throttle monkey can get ahold of it and walk around pinning the throttle and spinning it up 14,800 no load… it’s like those guy’s who squeeze the trigger and floor the saw holding it above the log like they are in a competition somewhere!!! Those hot saw’s get torn down after every event..,sometimes at the event! They have short lifespan’s!!! You can 3/4 throttle a saw into the wood and when you get a good bite and are tossing chips crack her open! The cutting chain speed of most saw’s is 10,000 to 11,000 rpm’s so super high reving no load speeds don’t do anything but help kill the engine… having your little tachometer on your air filter cover or Velcro-ed on your top cover let’s you see and helps you tune your ear for when you are just at the happy point where your engine is four stroking until you put some load on it then it stops four stroking and “sings” right through your cut! That’s where you want to be with your tune.., I was fixing 4-5 saw’s a month for a tree removal company buddy of mine… I have all of their stuff setup like mine now 11,800 to 12,200… the 036 is set at 11,800 not 13,500 and no one has said a single word about anything cutting slower! Because it’s not… chain speed in the cut is like 10-11k or most saw’s!!!

Make darn sure that they are getting the little O-rings that go under the oil pump gear… Farmertec forgot that part for 5 years and people bitched about a sihty carburetor and they all had a small air leak around their oil pump because they forgot a little $4 dollar O-ring that’s still critical to good operations!!!!
