What I liked about the early years of American Idol is that there was some serious talent and a few contestants have had steady, successful careers.
I’ve auditioned for shows like this. They have several vetting auditions before you see the celebrity judges. So you have to be either exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Those are the ones who make it to the next round. When I auditioned there were 2 rounds before the celeb judges. The first round took almost 12 hours to finally be seen by a judge
wow thats crazy. thats so funny that they let the terrible ones go through though that way we can get some entertainment and see some skills at the same time😂😂😂
@@ChaoticCobras yes! And even if you have a good voice, if they already have someone like you, you may not get chosen. So they kind of have what they’re looking for. But just so I don’t get in trouble, you DO actually audition lol. It’s just not exactly the way they make it seem
Nice, Ive been missing these random videos. Life writes the best comedy
You don’t honestly believe this is reality, do you? It’s all (the people being) manipulated or even staged…
Please do more worst American idol auditions, they are gold 😂😂
Some folks just need to record themselves singing and then watch it. It sounds so much different than when you’re singing to yourself. I feel some of these folks’ pain😂
lol I learned that at 13.
This is actually something all people who want to become professional singers must face, that your voice actually sounds different to yourself than everyone else, because of the conduction in the bones particularly in your skull, the vibration means we will always sound different to ourselves than how everyone else hears us. If you're not particularly naturally gifted, or haven't undergone good vocal training, you may even sound much worse on recording/to other people than you expect yourself to.
Some people have been told over and over again by their parents or friends how well they sing just to spare their feelings. Then when they hear the truth they refuse to believe it.
If that last guy was 20 I’m Iron Man. 😂😂😂
Justin Guarini, who finished second to Kelly Clarkson in the American Idol final, has made a decent living doing Dr. Pepper commercials ( he's called Lil' Sweet) which are still currently running here in America.
I had no idea that was him!! Crazy.
I’m in America but not in the US and haven’t heard of him since the early 00s so might be a US or specific state(s) thing
Just looked it up and damn, good to know, thanks, that’s interesting
"It's Tamee-ka!" 😂
Any Americans in the comments section remember “Star Search” in the 80’s with Ed McMahon.
That was the original American Idol.
wasn’t born in the 80s but grew up watching a tv show called “Raising Hope” and they mentioned it
The Mickey Mouse Club in the 60s and then later was too kinda
Yes I remember! Liked because they had comedians too
@@KrisFlicksyou can watch it online as everything else
I went to college at 33 and it seemed like every day I saw/heard a younger guy acting like the first guy in this video.
Yah there’s more and more people on the spectrum as we’re needed more, but most aren’t like that, but this one seems particularly bad with social cus and behaviour and stuff
@@Cassxowaryyes, he is certainly not aware of his ..just okay singing ability, but he didn't seem to be genuinely trying to be a smartass in the beginning, his tone is quite genuine from what I can tell. I think the way simon responded also influences the way people see the interaction. If you had someone who just reaffirmed all they wanted was a straight answer to their question in a normal way rather than simon who's both confrontational and accusatory, I think it would color how you see the contestants interactions in a different light. To be fair I'm also a girl on the spectrum so maybe I'm the one missing something, but he dosent seem like he's trying to piss them off. He seems like he's just talking how he probably normally does. He apologizes genuinely more than once when they make it clear they're not liking how he's coming off, to me, their reactions are actually way overblown to what he's actually saying and how he's saying it. he dosen't raise his voice, he's not aggressive at all like how simon said, also that lady who's practically coming for his throat, she's the one who asked him why he seemed to be on edge and he just gave her an honest answer that he didn't enjoy waiting. Even someone who would be WILLING to wait years wouldn't be happy about it, I hate people who ask questions and aren't prepared for an honest answer. IDK, to me even though he seems oblivious to what he's doing that's rubbing them the wrong way, I almost feel the same way. Like what did he really do that deserved a response like that.
Making this Aussie blokes day job a bit easier this is good stuff
I don’t think Lamar was 20 years old. 😂 I think he lied on his application. His attitude didn’t help his credibility.
🤣🤣
We are on the same algorithm you guys in Britain!! I’ve been binging these audition videos for the last week! Wow!! What a coincidence this is!! 😁
The early seasons had two hosts Ryan secrest and the other dude. After I think the first season the other dude QUIT. now secrest is a multi millionaire and no one can remember the other dudes name
Am I the only one who saw the Thumbnail and thought this was a Key and Peele skit? Then I read the title, and started laughing b/c that "woman" looks just like Jordan Peele 😂😂
These are always amazing lol binged for months in the past
It was Ryan and Dunkleman. Dunk left after the first season for greener pastures that I don't believe ever materialized, while the show became huge.
honestly tho, the house of the rising sun dude did introduce me to the song... so, props for that. also, i dont think he was that bad as well, but he had a badittude
Oh wow! Yea that song is a classic! I’m 33 and when I was 8 I knew how to play it on the piano ✌️
Horrible attitude. He could actually be decent with some training because his voice isn't bad. His tempo was just way off.
I reckon he was autistic or aspie or something, because there’s something about him, like he doesn’t understand how he comes across and that it’s wrong and stuff, like bad at social situations, at least with strangers.,,
@@willvr4This is what I don't get. What was so bad about his attitude. He seems like he was genuinely completely oblivious to whatever it was he was doing that was pissing them off, he must have genuinely apologized like three times. It's not like he was trying to be a smartass, I think he genuinely just speaks like that daily, and just dosen't know how to adjust to a different audience. Idk, as someone who's autistic, it kind of strikes a nerve to see so many say his attitude was horrible yet not see a reason why other than him just not being as socially aware as other people.
That Clark Kent looking dude was funny 😂
I liked the first guy lol
That first guy was actually quite decent, like he could front a rock band with that voice. I remember reading an interview he did with some website that talked about his audition/experience and how he was told to ham up his frustration with waiting for so long, or something like that.
He's actually not a bad guy at all. It's just the way they do the vetting process + the way these things are edited for entertainment.
Edit: Did anyone else notice how Kara seemed to be projecting with that odd "he needs a spanking" comment? lmao wtf. That gave me the notion that she might've been down bad at that moment. Such a weird and sudden thing to say in that context. Did she lowkey like him a bit?
You read some where? Sound like they was covering for him.
He forgot to take his pills that day. Common mistake. I'm going for a swim now. Goodbye
That's literally how I felt about Kara too. She's not slick lol
@@kimson305except they actually do that, it’s reality tv, they always do what they can to start shit, along with let only the best, worst, and most entertaining through or the ones that will do that…
@@kimson305it’s hardly a secret, mate…
Oh please do more early bad American Idol auditions with Simon, Paula and Randy. They are hilarious.
Them and South African Idol’s wooden mic auditions with Gareth, Unathi, Somizi and Randall 😂 🇿🇦❤️
That first guy is in a big city somewhere serial killing right now. He probably sings to his victims before the kill.
PLEASE DO MORE!!!
Only America can produce such interesting people😂 I say this as an American lol
You clearly haven’t heard of South African idol and the wooden mic! The golden mic are the normal kind and wooden mic is the competition side for the bad ones
😂😂😂😂😂😂THE THIRD GIRL WITH THE GUM!!!! I'M DYING!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂GIVE ME YOUT LOVE GIVE ME YOUR GIVE ME YOUR LOVE
I definitely watch bad auditions to get a good laugh 😂
Look up wooden mic auditions, it’s even more entertaining, gotta love my 🇿🇦
The 2nd host left thinking the show wouldn't be much more than it was the 1st season. He said he didn't like the gig and wanted to be a actor/comedian.
We need a part 2 🤣🤣
I have a buddy who made it to Hollywood on X Factor. He said he did 3 auditions before he ever got to the judges. By that point they’re just getting footage for the show and it’s pretty much a formality.
13:36 Ryan Seacrest and Brian Dunkleman were the Ant and Dec of the first season of American Idol. After the first season, Brian left the show, and Ryan continued on.
That first guy was so creepy 😂😂😂
I actually think the 1st guy was kinda funny. That "awww mann" was funny as hell.
I saw mike on another channel old blokes react
you should react to Australian idol's worst auditions lol and south African idol is just....😭
Mike is transitioning.
😂
These lads are brill
you should do more xfactor/american idol reactions
I loved watching American in the beginning of each year because they start with the absolute worst and it's pure entertainment!! LOL
The Grand Daddy of talent judging shows is The Gong Show.
These weren’t even the really bad ones 😂
Dez impression of Mike is spot on 😂😂
Do funniest south African idols auditions...
from what I understand, American Idol will have contracts with the top ten ppl who make it, and it is for like 5 or ten years on anything that person records.
ONE POUND FIFTEH?! Yes please!
That first guy is definitely no Eric Burdon. lol.
I actually liked the 1st guy's attitude
Then you don’t realise it’s rude and disrespectful either... you should learn about social behaviours and cues and stuff
Nic name though
@@CassxowaryLiterally how is it rude and disrespectful. I'm autistic, telling people they need to "just learn social cues" is literally the dumbest most braindead, inconsiderate advice. And Im a high masking autistic girl!! I didn't get diagnosed until adulthood because I was so slick with my social cues. Telling people that is useless, AND people throw the words rude and disrespectful around like they're free candy.
Brian Dunkleman was Ryan Seacrest’s co-host.
haha this is bringing back memories.
Office Chair Mike.
Justin Guarini is Dr. Pepper's "Little Sweet." Enough said! 🤟
9:52 Her style of singing with those damn moaning sound effects make her sound like she’s “enjoying herself” more than the song she is trying to sing lmao
She sounds so ridiculous doing it, to be honest. At least that’s my take on that one. 🤣😭
“I Want Your Love”? I think she is her own love. 😂🤣😭
The way to become a star before these shows was to be in a band and work at it for years at difficult venues and hope that you become good enough to generate an audience. That's the organic way of doing it. These contests are a bit artificial.
3/1/22, 11:06 a.m.
😂😂😂😂 the Masked Singer is fun.
They need to bring back the hook from the Vaudeville days.
Underrated comment 😂🙌🏻👏🏻
Good reaction, dogs!
I always wonder how many of these were plants to give the show more entertainment value. I have no doubt there are people insanely arrogant with zero self-awareness. Including the ones who obsess over social media and celebrities that want to be famous for the attention.
I'm not sure who that host dude was but yeah Ryan Seacrest was the host I thought from the first one.
the first season of idol had two host ryan seacrest and Brian Dunkleman. he was fkred after the first season
Ryan Seacrest has been with the show since the 1st episode, and is still with it! The other guy left after the 1st season.
in all seriousness tho for most of these guys i would say the high majority, this is their ONLY shot at this so they should have the opportunity to fully display what they can do (with respect obviously) but the last guy wasnt being rude in my opinion. he was just trying to take his shot. and that lady on the end deserved to be cussed lol
if the first dude ends up being a serial killer… i wouldn’t e surprised 🤷🏻♂️
well i take it that the last guy was upset.lol
16:30 that guy looks like he’s between 30 and 35 years old
That first guy isn’t really that bad of a singer, I think he just needs a little bit of practice on his vocals but what he really needs to work on is that attitude of his because he’s not going to go anywhere with that type of attitude
Please PLEEEEEASE do a reaction to Jame Lewis American idol audition 🙏🏾 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I think the first guy was pretty good
That first guy was the bully and the bullieie at the same time.
They found out later on, most of these people were paid.
They weren’t, the judges and other workers yes, the auditioners no
Production staff planned blooper reels. The contestants look legitimately upset... and the judges seem to be reacting in real time... but a show this produced and managed... there was screening(s) and a planned set of bad performances for the train wreck crowd.
How many UA-cam vids are worst wrecks, worst "karens/kyles", bad dining, worst list of whatever... etc. Why'd WE watch this reaction? For the reactions to the reactions to the bad performances we knew were going to happen. It is funny when people fall or fail sometimes. Some of my best memories are "remember that time when [fill in with some stupid thing i did]... that was hilarious!"... Also enjoyed the "I'm not here to be judged" .... uhmmmmm. yeah, "no"...
Since u guys r doing long reactions now, should check out Brad Upton boomer triggers gen Z on drybar comedy, 40 minutes long but hilarious
I miss Mike
The blonde girl goes to the hospital.
Doc: Your blood test show cancer cells forming so we should really start treatment as soo.....
Blonde girl: Well listen sweetheart I don't really care about your opinion
Good one except, bad example because she’d have a point. Hospitals don’t offer actual cures that have always existed, they offer what makes em and the cancer industry hundreds of billions a year. Healer treatments, cbd (and maybe weed), other natural stuff, those have always worked. And of course, preventing it by using the heart and brain we’ve all got and going vegan and thereby not consuming cancer and worse. And not causing the worst to ourselves and trillions of animals like us and all and the planet...
Last one was pretty good, unfortunately for him not marketable enough nor good sob story behind.
The first guy was a piece of work. I was waiting for simon to rip him a new one. But in all honestly, he has potential if he got rid of his attitude.
He’s most likely on the spectrum so unless he gets help...
Literally what about him is so bad. I keep seeing people hate on him but like literally break it down for me, what was so bad about him that he deserves to be degraded and berated. It's obvious to me at least he wasn't doing anything on purpose, he just dosen't know how to adjust the way he speaks to his audience.
The first guy sounds like Barns Courtney and/or Vance Joy. Who are actually really good musicians. . But he's just so rude. .
I quit watching American Idol when they quit showing these bad auditions! Someone lied to these people.
I like the bad singers and that is the only good thing about these shows. These shows are just people singing karaoke. That is why no one has a career except kelly clarkson.
For God's sake if someone asks you if they can sing well be honest with them.
Hi everyone
I Honestly don't like or agree with Their Opinions because They Me Mad And Got on my Nerves.
I wonder if some of these people auditioning are plants to break up the monotony of the tryouts.
I don't think they need plants to have crazy people on. Plenty of those will show up on their own volition.
Hmmmm !!!! Jimmy Fallon @ 13:06 to13:09 ?
Oh mike isn’t here. Is he ok? I miss him
oi! Daz!
La la la la la laaa
Truth be told first guy was actually good ... minus his face and attitude
Ugh... I can't do cringe. I don't know what it is, but cringey material is almost as bad as gore for me. I just don't want to look at it...
Andrew can sing but his attitude
Even people that hated American idol watched the season with Steven Tyler 😂
What??? American idol was all pop or country lol
These shows would be great if they weren’t fake and directed.
First guy seems like he’s on the spectrum
Definitely
Mike is tired of you two. He needs to decompress poor man
Jeffrey dahmer first dude
Randy calling contestants "Dog" is annoying.
Calm down boomer dawg
get some guests to react
Sometimes I wonder if these are just paid professional actors to get these outtakes.
They’re not
Talent shows haven't went away and they still judge people harshly...its just American Idol is not as popular and attention has went to other shows
Very rude singers
