2020 C8 Mid Engine Corvette Exhaust Sound And Revs
A complication video of the brand new C8 mid-engine Corvette revving it up and the sound of the exhaust. It sounds mean if you ask me.

Amazing car, amazing performance, and amazing sound. All for $60,000.
It sounds freaking awesome I'm more excited for this car then I've ever been! I definitely want one!
Its next level! GM really out did themselves on the C8.
@@StreetProduction303 definitely!
Meaty sounds very meaty .
It sounds like any GM small block. Very similar to the LT1, nothing special here.
Can’t wait to hear the aftermarket exhausts
The legendary small block.
the zeus bronze looks like an interesting color
Same thought
I really like it
I agree! In some of the clips it almost sounds like it has turbos. You can hear a whistle.
Totally!
Im with you bro! I can hear it too. It must be just the passing of air, but either way..it sounds so sikkk!
Now just imagine when the Z06 comes out
I cant wait!
probably the power steering pump... lol
I love the sound of revs in the morning . . . . . . . . . and afternoon and evening. LOL Save the Wave.
I didnt even see your comment unitl I saw it in the spam box. UA-cam is weird and so random 😳
This car is a new american revolution in muscle cars.
every rev is loved
This car is sick!
Best video out there with C8 Exhaust!!
Thanks bro!
Those speakers going crazy
Man that’s a beautiful car all the way around and that’s including the back !!!!!!
Cant wait for the zo6
Me too!!
@@StreetProduction303 tempted to put an order in but I know the zo6 is going to be insane. Hopefully they offer more super car colors like lime green ect.
I've heard that the Z06 will have a 4.2 litre V8 twin turbo engine sourced from Cadillac.
Would love the twin turbo 4.2 V8
@@itsJulianLam no, Cadillac has said up and down, No the Corvette wont get it, and when asked the Corvette head engineer said that that engine wasn't even considered
I hope this car changes every thing I'm a ford guy but I want one of these so bad and I could actually get one.
I’m really hoping it pushes Ford to make a equivalent priced GT with a V8. I’m just hoping this spurs some competition back into the American manufactures.
@@wtpiv6041 i couldnt agree more but im like me me geting a ford gt it wont happen...
New dream car 😍
I like it still sounds merican V8 but looks exotic, some of da supercars don’t speak merican, lol
It sounds more Mexican to me.
I cant complain!
Just remember there is zero chance that every person driving these had the exhaust set to LOUD! So there will be differences even though everything is the same mechanically. ✌🏿🏁
not a fan of american cars but this 😍😍
Aftermarket exhaust and custom tune on this beast!!!!
Other than complete annihilation of the back tires ,THIS would be the other thing the new C8 will not DO better then the new GT 500 ! Chevy has a hit ! I want one ....
sounds amazing
Woooohhhhhhh
A absolute fabulous looking and sounding Corvette. I do believe GM hit it out of the park with this one. My only question is will GM be able to keep up with the demand.
No there failing miserably
If these are pre-production models I'm curious to know what the final product will look like or if it will change at all
Lol the looks aren't changing. It's not a prototype that was unveiled, it's the production vehicle.
Wow i will have one next year
Sounds like a low rpm aventador
'Merica!! 🇺🇸😃👍
I'm sorry but that wing is hideous... and square exhaust? come on... other than that its fantastic. also, does it have adaptive headlights?
To me this sounds better than the GT500 or GT 350. Nice moderate sound.
It looks better than a GT350 but having owned a 2017 GT350 the sound is not even close... Luv the new C8 but the GT350 has better sound by far...
@@csouthwell9180 GT350 sound has a rally car tone to it when you rev it. not a huge fan of that. This one sounds right.
Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about a way better Transmission than this? I. e. one that doesn't have buttons for a shifter
The small block that could
RIP NSX
Tomoko Kishi nsx killed itself before this even came out lol
Where fits the targa top? Front boot? Behind the seats?
No. Its in the back. Right by the engine
I wouldn't mind giving one of these a custom exhaust system, make it sound deep and throaty like the dodge challenger hellcat
I don't see any comments about the rear looking ugly hhhmmm...
Not much different from a C7s LT1. Pretty normal small block V8 noise.
It still sounds great!
I just sold my 18 ZL1 & no it does not. This sounds way better.
Th3Aggr3ssiv3 Cons3rvativ3 i daily drive a 2017 Camaro SS.
@Th3Aggr3ssiv3 Cons3rvativ3 I know reading comprehension is difficult for many youtube commenters so I will help you out. First of all, I didn't say "it sounds exactly like a LT1." Second, you know how an LT1 with an aftermarket exhaust still sounds like an LT1? Well the LT2 sounds like the LT1 because it is basically an LT1 with a different exhaust. The only major differences between the engines are the exhaust, intake manifold, and exhaust lift on the cam. Both the LT1 and LT2 have the same bore and stroke, same displacement, same crank, same rods, same compression ratio, same firing order, same direct injection, same cylinder deactivation, etc. Of course, it still sounds like any other small block LT1 engine because it is still just like any other small block LT engine.
Put headers on any Small block it'll sound great.
I like the sound, hate the spoiler... FUGLY
The flat plane crank was a mistake, sounds European
@mr sir Performance < American V8
Has a very generic V8 sound. Hope the aftermarket can help fix that
yeah the stock exhaust sucks, the only vett exhaust is better some how lol it doesnt have that deep aggressive tone
Generic V8? You mean it makes the sound a crossplane V8 is supposed to make?
@@helicocktor Yup, exactly. A generic one. Doesn't sound bad, doesn't sound great.
@@rg5886 idk unless you want to change the firing order on crossplanes, which I imagine needs a whole lot more engineering into it, crossplanes sound better than flatplanes. Unless they went the GT350 R route and engineered different exhaust pulses on a flatplane like Novitec did with the 488 Ferraris and McLarens
@@helicocktor I'm not too familiar with the engineering of V8's, but whatever they did to the GT350, I hope they do to the Z06 if it really is actually a flat-plane.
Last generation Corvette still better looking. This new gen looks like a Ferrari...🤷♂️
and that's a bad thing?
Yep that's a bad thing. Not what I'm use to..
I love the body but the sound I don’t know
Sounds like your talking about a woman
Yeah it sounds a little lame
Mustang Bullitt and Shelby 350 sound way better
Not even close to an italian exotic sound
chewpaeng12 ikr so much better 💀
It’s not an Italian exotic so that makes sense
First thing I would change are those hideous looking wheels.
You mean the black ones
The rear looks too much like a Camaro
Man that rear end just don’t look good ...
A pushrod engine? Seriously?
Nothing is not wrong with that push rod engine. That engine can easily make 1000hp.
@@carbonfiber1995 Ancient engine technology! Keeps the engine tall, heavy and lower revving. Should be quad cam, 32 valve. This engine should only be in a truck or boat--not a world supercar. It's just a cheap shortcut to keep the price lower. Shit, my Mustang has the mighty quad cam, 32 valve Coyote that revs high with a huge power band and torque coming out of a lower displacement and thus lighter engine that the new Vette should have. It is outrageous that a mid-engine, two seater car that is supposed to go up against Ferraris has a pushrod engine. Oh, well, hopefully future options will have a real exotic car engine that has overhead cams with multi-valves. SMH.
youchris67 the coyote is larger and heavier though than the chevy v8’s lol, and they’re unreliable pieces of garbage, i will say however they sound amazing and i love how high they rev having a 5.0 (that ticks) myself
youchris67 the way I see it: pushrod engines are compact, simple, and can make great power easily while sounding great. Sometimes, older technology is better in certain use cases.
Its gm, but it's not corvette, if I wanted a Ferrari I would buy one. If you have a sports car that works, you dont change it!!
It does not sound exotic at all. No wonder about the price
Th3Aggr3ssiv3 Cons3rvativ3 high pitch sound like f1 is exotic
Th3Aggr3ssiv3 Cons3rvativ3 not just those ones. There are tons of other cars with engines that can produce exotic sounds like maclarens, Porsche gt3, Nissan GT-R, and othets
