Key takeaway: People afford what they want to afford. If they truly do not have the ability to pay, it is easier to move on. If they have the ability to pay, but they don't want to pay you, you have not done a good enough job of tapping into their desire to pay.

Yes. Just like those people that get mad about someone on food assistance buying steak “I wish I could afford a steak 😒” um you can. if you return all the soda pop and junk food that’s not food at all in your cart, you could go get a couple steaks, even.

When someone tells me they cannot afford my service, I tell them, "That's ok. We are not for everybody. But, when you are ready for the best, you know where to find us." And I say it very nicely, with a smile, because I mean it. If they really are poor, I really don't want them to spend more then is good for them. And I have noticed they really seem to appreciate my kindness.
The Cheap customer will come back with further attempts at a lower price. "Sir, if I lowered my price, wouldn't that tell you I didn't give you my best price up front? Do you really want to hire someone like that?"
The thing is, the person in front of me is either:
    1. Poor. I want to love this person, and not make them feel bad.
    2. Cheap/Difficult. I proactively want them to not hire me.
    3. Sophisticated/Affluent. Testing me to see if I play at their level.
In any case, the course of action designed to attract good customers, and at the same time repel losers, I win all around!

I lower my apartment selling price and I got called by people who told me if I can give them a 30% price discount. I then raised my price for it and got a better price than initial.

The aha moment at the end helped me to consolidate the teaching in this video perfectly. Speak to the value and results you will generate. If you've done things right they will be happy to pay more or offer more in return based on the value you deliver. Keep things simple Excellent video!

Different from what most teach - Give free and then charge 2500 = Disconnect in prospect's mind! Position yourself so that you are not a beggar for their business! Great info!

Integration: Be a person of tremendous value so much that you become attractive to clients, Then go High Ticket with great communication of your Value to selected clients. The message communicated = Your value is what they absolutely need. Then Deliver.

I actually have an idea on how, let's chat on Facebook if you haven't found the solution already. I suggest a guy called Russell Brunson, he states that he used to struggle with this problem. Until he created a funnel or system with specific requirements to where they have to apply and have made X amount of dollars or whatever it may be. Then they are now pre-qualified and sorted out between the weeds and losers. Vs your potential dream clients. Hope this helps!

AHA Moment: Being concise with your e-mails, proposals and while closing on the phone is a huge step to conveying your expertise and Status. That you're not afraid of losing clients (which implies you are sought after) and that you ooze confidence.
Now I only need to practice this daily in my interactions of all kind. Telling more with less words.

The example of the businessproposal was really insightful! It really shows how you sell the benefits of your product rather than its features. Nobody cares about what the fuck you have to do to fix their problem, they care about the result and how much they're gonna be spending. Once again I'd like to thank you for uploading this valuable content.

  • @john_dren
    @john_dren 6 років тому +4

Wow this video is definitely very valuable. This raises two questions:
    1. Dan you talked about having shady skills. When do we know the expertise is valuable ?
    2. The idea about proposal sounds astounding since we can’t prove a % of increase for them, right ? Just speculation.

When I joined HTC, did I have the money? No. but I made it happen because I saw an amazing opportunity to invest in myself to change my life forever. I think going forward I can work with people that were like myself before I had the transformation. "Copy cannot create desire" David Oglivy. Much of the same theory applies to High Ticket Closing. We cannot create some mass desire. Sell people what they already want or subconsciously want and don't know it. Positioning is so powerful.

Lol in a world where you are being paid barely enough to survive, basically working to live or you die, sometimes exceptions needs to be made period.
Like insurances... all types of them that were are force to pay and dont roll over unless your paying top of the line car insurance.
I'm in a situation where I really dont make enough to do much of anything, a single mom, it's tough.
