I find it funny when I'm writing essays for school and the teacher says "its not about quantity, its about quality" Well, if I want to write quality, good, detailed information, I've got to write quantity.

Don’t get me wrong cos I’m comfortable with my shit, but I could’ve been a millionaire without these hangers on.... Dan, I wish I’d come across you in my youth.....shit!!! Cliff notes -
    1. Be aware of the reason of procrastination.
    2. Just do, don't think
    3. Integration - Build in stuff that you want to do in life instead of creating discipline.

I use that strategy to no rely on motivation but on integration. Integrate the things you want to get done then you just do it.

Its like i was in cloud bubble and you popped it...i came out of the daze... and there you were standing there describing me in every example...wow!
How did i get so bad, i mean (shameful to say) "good" at procrastination? ...my "Actions" haven't kicked in just yet, im finding it hard to be hungry for something i know nothing about, I've been around poor all my life.. but "Just do one push up!" Is defo imprinted in my brain now. Thank you. Great video.😁

No way, Karma, I felt the exact same thing! My whole life, I've been a master procrastinator and been around poor minds. I think the reason we've been so "good" at procrastination is because we never had someone like Dan.
If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing now that you find it hard to be hungry about it?

I fit into so many of these categories. Especially the example of making a UA-cam video. I realized I just need to do things and have follow through. Not to let my lower self defeat me. Great video sifu!

Absolutely loved this talk and learned a lot about procrastination from this video. Looking forward to practicing learning to cut off the inner demons conversations and just integrating and doing. I remember a time in my life where i just did, i felt so accomplished. it was like a reflex. I was wondering what was different in my life lately. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

"Don't Think, Just Do." This is what I need to start doing, instead of making excuses and feeding those inner thoughts. It will take time, but after a while of integrating this mentality into my lifestyle, it will become subconscious and easy. I have experienced this same effect with other things in my life, so I know that I can do it. Thank you for continuing to shift my mentality, Sifu!

Self-image > Motivation. Motivation forces you to take action, whereas 'Self-image' just wants you to do things. You just do it because whatever you are doing is part of you.

Great talk about integration! I always integrate drumming, taping all the time. I integrated stretching. Now I'm thinking about approaching one stranger a day because I'm shy for first contacts. I still procrastinate a lot, I'm a perfectionist mostly and I make a lot of shit up. It's hard because I battled with anxiety for a long long long period of my life. One thing helping me is as you said, just doing. Like every time you hesitate about something you should be doing, just do it. Don't let the though of doing it get to your mind and slow it down. Studies show for instance, if you wait more than 3-4 seconds to talk to a crush when you see that person, you will likely not approach them at all or you will be very awkward.
Our minds are very fast, and beating our minds is the hardest thing in life.
