Asked this guy some questions once and just like in this vid, if you aren’t a cash buyer and actually ask him about things like property taxes, hoa dues, financing, seller financing etc etc you’re too small time. We’ll see how that attitude shifts as interest rates continue their climb. Frankly my experience finding the right agent in palmas has been less than easy
I wouldn’t mine retiring at Palma’s. I am selling in northern Virginia and deciding between McAllen, Texas and Palmas. The show stopper for my wife and I are medical services, especially medical specialists. Tax wise, in PR I wouldn’t be paying Federal income taxes, in Texas, no state income taxes. It all boils down what type of lifestyle you want to live during retirement.
I think he likes to attract a specific kind of buyer and keep a certain type out by answering the way he does. And I get the feeling if you have the money to do actual business, this guy will take care of you.

@@dorkladytravels I thought he was also holding back on taxes. Why? Taxes are taxes. Can anyone tell me what the taxes would be on a 3 bed room 2 bath under $300,000 not on the beach? It sounded like $1500 a year was high???
@@dorkladytravels Not only there's more to life than money but also he is used to dealing with people who have 3, 4, and even $500 thousand cash to purchase a house. People with that kind of cash are not worried about $300 HOA or $1,500 taxes a year. Unlike me, I have to account for every penny to ensure it fits in my budget. I just wished he could have been a little more specific about the numbers in order for us to know if it is a possibility to own something in that area. Nevertheless, you ladies did a great job on helping me daydream about living there.

he such a salesman & he personally owns 4 at another location(what a joke). He's not even comparing correctly. He point to his wall which is a building in the market place in palma. Compare an outside home to a real condo in Palmas & I can show you many are built the same way. Better yet if construction is better why did you buy 4 somewhere else.
We are renting there for a week to check out Palmas Del Mar, it will be our first time there. Can you tell me where the area was were they had the property listed? I guess where his office is at? We will have a rental but should we rent a golf cart while on site? Any trips or excursions that are a must while there would be great to know

Fascinating gentleman, good information. So financing a house in PR is very very cumbersome. Puts people with cash at a big advantage.
