My husband started 4 green stalks last year in preparation and practice for a raised bed garden he plans to take on as a hobby. He bought me a leaf green stalk for Mother's Day so I can grow more herbs, baby bok choy, kale, Swiss chard and the like. I see you like the spinning-wheeled base. I stayed away from them last year for Father's Day because I read some reviews about them toppling over during windy conditions. We are in zone 7A and have a number of windy tropical storms or hurricane warnings a year, so I was extra cautious. Do you experience winds over 50 mph? What zone are you in? You are quite the trooper! Thanks again for these great videos.

I am in zone 6a, in central NY. We do get some pretty strong winds, but rarely sustained. I’ve not had a problem with the GreenStalks toppling over. Maybe from the composted cow manure I use? They are VERY heavy. But I mitigate that for the plants with lots of peat moss and perlite. I have 3 different bases and my fav is definitely the spinner. The others are very hard to get to move, again because they are super heavy. And since the are kind of up against my deck railing, I like to spin them to attend to each pocket and/or harvest. I can’t really get behind them. Since they are on my deck, right off my kitchen, I love to do lettuce, greens, herbs, and bush beans in them. Easy pickings for dinners. How did you like your results last year?
