And not just by the congressional oversight committee, but also by the DoJ.
Congressional committee investigations and hearings are purely political. DoJ investigates and prosecutes criminally. Getting publicly berated by a bunch of politicians holding office in a co-executive branch of government isn’t as big a deal as being potentially prosecuted and convicted under federal criminal codes would cause a great deal more pain to Clarence and Ginni Thomas.
Merrick Garland needs to wake tf up and get his useless ass in gear toward actually and seriously holding the higher level government officials and their affiliates criminally accountable for their actions related to J6. I know. DA Willis and Wade paid for some hotel rooms, some dinners, and some travel. One can't tell which of their money was used for this as they both are well paid, and at least attempted to pay their own ways relatively equally. DA Willis attempted to hire two investigators before Wade so this isn't a deal that was crafted just for him in an attempt to either influence the trial, nor to defraud financially. It was however unprofessional and shows poor judgement. If I had my way DA Willis would resign and the trial continues.

@@todd8155I think specifically the problem with Willis resigning is probably how much time it would take for a new lawyer to get up to date with a case that has such a large scope. I used to work as a paralegal, and I worked some civil rights and ADA cases in the Southern District of Florida Federal Court, and those cases could be very complex and involved.
Hell, the most complex case I ever worked was this one family court case when I first started out. It went on for 9 years. Then the husband died and it got moved to probate court for another 7 years. Not to mention spawning a federal case against five judges for bias basically, which caused a switch in districts from Miami-Dade County to Broward County (due to the federal lawsuit against the judges), then switching back to Miami-Dade County for the probate case after the federal lawsuit had concluded (judges won on all but extremely limited claims which mostly announced to they couldn't be clients judges ever again, judicial immunity is a very high bar to overcome when it comes to financial judgments). It also had an action in civil court when the lady had to sue the ex husband's estate and her estranged children for garnishing life insurance moneys meant to meet ongoing alimony obligations (which you're not allowed to do) to pay for thier attorneys fees. They owed her fees, not the other way around, but they had more money because the ex-husband was extremely well paid. That's why the divorce was so contentious. It came out in probate that he'd paid his lawyer's more than it would have cost just to pay her off according to the original judgment. He was the one who really dragged it out. Bad business all around.
It was an extremely complicated case, there were nearly 40,000 documents and almost 200,000 pages of records in that case. I worked on it for like the first 12 years of my career (I didn't even start at the beginning or finish it up, I was only there in the middle, but happened to make friends with the ex wife, we still hang out like 10 years after her case finished, she's one of my 2 female friends, so I was able to find out how it ended). Even after I had moved on to mostly federal court work at my firm, I stayed on her case until I was injured and became disabled/unable to work, because it would have taken so long to get someone else up to speed. It was a very complex and frustrating case (family court is the worst by the way) not everyone would have the demeanor to manage it. They went through something like four paralegals on it after me before it was over.
I'm guessing that's the kind of scope that Willis is dealing with considering how much help she has taken on to help her manage this and the related cases. It would take a long time for someone else to get familiar with all the evidence and the facts of the case enough to be able to argue it in front of a judge. I didn't even had to argue anything, I did research, organized evidence, produced documents, buying as hard as having to get up and actually argue the case (I have half my law degree, I have a pretty good idea of what that's like).

Supreme Court justices need to have term limits and be elected, not a lifetime appointment from a couple of biased political parties
Good grief, look at what people elect! Given the opportunity, someone like Rudy or John Eastman would run for a seat there, and Trump's cult would vote for them. So would a lot of uninformed voters who rely on name familiarity to fill out their ballots.
We need stricter qualifications for all federal judges as well as the SCOTUS, and perhaps a bipartisan commission that is required to do - and present - due diligence on each candidate's experience and character, to be sure they measure up.
Removing trump would be the start of getting the temperature of politics down

We need a better way of electing Supreme Court judges and removing them as well! He need to be removed as well as atleast one other judge that has taken gifts and bribes the past few years! Removal should come from FBI or CIA and a one judge and juror!
