I have been divorced for 3 years and this past year I have gotten excited to date. I started dating this gentleman last year and we dated for 8 months. I thought he was an amazing man but I knew that he was not the one for me. His values were very different from mine, he truly believe that a couple should live together before getting married. I thought absolutely not, why in the world should I perform all these wifely duties without being married. 3 months ago I politely told him that I am not for every body neither was he. I was not the one for him therefore, I couldn't see him anymore. He was shocked because we were doing great. My number one job is to guard my heart. I have no intention on pouring in my time, energy into a relationship that was not going anywhere. I know my values and I am not willing to compromise them. I simply walked away without feeling any remorse. Au revoir, Cheri!😂😂😂
I love the way the manner in which both of the speakers have chemistry in their collaboration. I would love for GOD to send me a man who thinks and speaks like this man.
Thank you for enlightening me on this subject. I left with so much wisdom and with so many handy and useful tools. Some issues I was just stuck on! I was so blind. Please forgive the mean people on some of these comments. God bless!
Tom Viall I agree, very manly and a natural alpha male, not a beta one trying to be an alpha, alphas in my opinion are born, true leaders in all walks of life.
I am Single and still experimenting and formulating my theories about relationships. Honestly, these theories about relationships aren't permanent, situations cause anomalies and variations we never anticipated. Unfortunately, people close their eyes and fixate on rules that people come up with as a result of their experiences. For example, The best woman i have ever known didn't make me "work" that hard. The ones that did, never loved me that much. My point, realize your situation is unique, learn from experiences around you, come up with your own rules as it applies to you and most importantly, be open minded. I believe the more matured you become, you'd recognize patterns and then make the best decisions
I think what you said is some good valid stuff....But I think that the point they were trying to get across to SOME women, is that they should know there worth and not allow themselves to be treated any kind of way. Unfortunately, there are some guys out there who take advantage of that....and the poor girl ends up with her heart broken, because she allowed some guy to run a game on her because she did not know that she was worth more than how he was willing to treat her. And yes, unfortunately, there are some girls out there who treat males badly. But I got what you were saying about generalizations.
As a Christian, for many years I, like most other single Christian women sought to be married before a certain age. Most of us at the time, wanted to be married b/c we wanted to have 'SEX' inside marriage. (So sad). As a much older Christian, I look back on that concept and think- 'whew, we're so shallow!!' Need we think of marriage for much more than that? I say, most definitely. Marriage offers so much more than the safety net of having sex without conviction. I personally feel that the church should elaborate on the other concerns/benefits of marriage besides JUST sex.
true.. although Jesus did say that we should marry if we cannot control ourselves. I'd rather marry though cause I've fallen in love and found my true soul mate ❤
Sweet Sugar 101 u right on. Except I think church folks should not downplay the importance of sex. Because it is a goood thing with many health and mental benefits when applied properly and "frequently". If u have the mentality of JUST sex, u could be fooling yourself or not be a real good sex partner because of guilt or other mixed feelings about it. it's like this: something is valuable only if u give it value and loses value if u devalue it. plus men will see u as a holier than thou person, and find it unattractive because it makes them feel like they are pigs or something. But again I understand and agree with the fact that we shouldn't be obsessed with SEX. Especially while single, as that can lure u into sin or wrong marriage.
Amazing. i realised that i make friends with men more than women and i always thought it was becoz i wasn't attractive enough or that there was something wrong with me but i think i agree with you that there is an initial attraction but may be its how you handle it that determines which type of friendship it becomes. Thank you for that
I love this so much I wish I had heard this before I met my x. it would have saved me 3 years of what might be wasted time. but with God nothing is wasted. my concern was when he says for the woman who has sex before marriage. that it can cause problems later on because nobody will want something that somebody didn't have to pay full price for. something like that. that's good..but not really. how many of us have truly waited. that sounds hopeless. Its basically sounding like he's telling women that if they have made a mistake or mistakes that she should basically give up on love. But men makes these same mistakes and it don't affect them? also nobody ever talks about single Moms. Are we out of the love picture? None of this should be taken without prayer. But I do Love this ... such awesome confirmation. I left a guy who was saying we were friends. God finally put it in my heart that I am to treat him like a friend instead of how he wanted me to treat him..(like a wife or a maid) when I walked away it was difficult but I was obedient.I didn't know what I was doing until the Lord personally took me by the hand and pulled me aside and spoke directly to me. This confirmed I did the right thing. Thank You so much.
Valuing Yourself , knowing that any Intimacy that would lead to things that God Only Meant For Marriage, I believe needs to be Addressed as the conversation begins . So, that both people know & agree. Then to make sure that You are in a Safe & Healthy Atmosphere, date with another couple that has Your same values. : )
Isnt it true though when you cant attract the right man theres some more healing process that needs to start with you n when thats healing process is complete and your active in your purpose than thats when the right man will come along
Joel You are a very Handsome Man and all I can say is Thanks for Helping us Ladies, We truly appreciate You and your valuable information: it has been a BLESSING!...THANKS. Im single and I choose to meet a Man Gods way. As I embrace my royal identity, As Ester in 2:15-17 woman of character, and royal identity: who is suitable for a king. or who is Noticeable, Excellence and Magnificent..inner confidence of being a Queen even when that man does not see you that way. I Peter 2:9 tell me that I am a chosen People a royal Priesthood.. so Ladies dismiss what others say about you like BET..VH1..MTV.hollywood etc..Embrace what God has called you to be, a Queen..a higher than not a Less Than!...I know my worth and I know who I am, Ladies know your WORTH? know who you are: know that you are worth more than he is willing to Treat You?..be good and be blessed...
Ok my husband and never even kissed before our wedding day we wanted to keep our relationship pure and holy . Only to discover he cheated throughout our entire marriage apparently he was a compulsive liar and sex addict all the while telling me I was the only woman for him
"If men are wiling to live w/o u, he should..." but we know he wont cuz he want to keep his options just in case...they can be selfish sometimes, can't live without them rhough:)
That is why I do not date because in this western world when a man takes you to dinner or spend money he wants cookies. I will go to the park with you and follow behind in my own car. If I go to the museum I will pay my own way.
also about the one who loves the least... thats a worldly view and a tool to find out what your getting yourself into. cause ultimately...He's supposed to love You as Christ loved the Church and gave His life for it. that attitude should never enter a Christian Marriage.

If you are Christian, you cannot divorce and then remarry if your previous partner is still alive.
"If he's willing to live without you then he should"! Amen. 😏✨

This is excellent. I have to get the book.
This is powerful. Lower my value then:. "No one wants to pay full price for something someone else's got free."
Very informative....Ladies, listen up!

The one who love the least have the POWER...I never knew, interesting!!!
Banigo ViviBest
No emotional investment equals more control
Banigo ViviBest saw this quote in the outkast movie. Was great. Terrence Howard was the one who said it
If God is in the mix, it's never about control. No emotion equates to having less to lose.
Very interesting! Great interview. Good view point from Joe? (Joel?).
Need to hear more from Joel
Thank goodness for this video

awasome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i so do agree
how is it unspoken when they are speaking of it
Meaning of unspoken not expressed, unsaid, unheard of, unuttered, unmentioned....
"If men are wiling to live w/o u, he should..." but we know he wont cuz he want to keep his options just in case...they can be selfish sometimes, can't live without them rhough:)

There's some good advice here, but I lost interest when the bible was brought into the subject.
