Cheers dude, very kind of you to say. The channel is pretty much a hobby to me that I fit around work so I don't post as regularly as some others who do it full time, so growth is a little slower I guess. The main thing for me is that those who do find it seem to really like what I'm doing and thats good enough for me. Thanks for stopping by and welcome. Got a few bigger projects in the pipeline so definitely more to come. 👍👍👍
Thank vou so much for making this. As a 40k fan in Brazil, any Warhammer material is very, very hard to come by. So by teaching me to make my own, you've essentially saved my hobby life. Thanks again!
Você é bem vindo!! I'm glad you found the channel and found it useful. There are many ways to creating amazing models that doesn't need to be expensive or shop bought. Enjoy my friend and thanks for watching
A tip for the posters - if you want them to appeard brown and old, make yourself some tea and use the teabag to tap the paper sheet with the posters, then let it dry and then cut them out and glue them. It will create an aged effect really fast and cheap. It's something I used to do when I was attending elementary arts school when I was little.
Funnily enough I did the same at school. I was worried the moisture would make the ink from the printer run and smear the image. Maybe if is stained the paper first, let it dry and then printed on the stained paper? Something I can play around with in the future. Thanks for watching
For the posters I've found using glue sticks works well, it allows me to control how much glue on the back, create wrinkles (rolling them up in to a ball, then flattening them out with my hand before dragging across the glue stick head) for hasty application or folds/dogeared corners to give it that warn look.
Another good diorama so just imagine if you go out & get a new 65" tv think of the foam you would get in that. You could build a city. Don`t say i dont help. 😎
Thanks dude. My gf laughs at me all the time because I'm always collecting all kinds of junk. Another mans junk is my oil silos and industrial walkways haha
@@creativecuts7803 Ha, yeah I always have a hard time deciding what to throw out and what to keep. Then one of the many scratch builder I watch on here makes something amazing with all the stuff I just throw out.
Cheers man. All one big learning curve. But that pot of rust is golden. Makes rusting anything almost instant and basically no work. Just paint it on. Cant recommend it enough
I wish I'd found these videos way back when I threw out all my polystyrene packaging...it's amazing how useful trash can be after you've binned it...😖😖😖
Always the way. There are many things I get rid of and then curse myself for not saving it. But you can't save everything, I already have 3 big boxes of random bits of junk I'm "saving".
@@creativecuts7803 If I admit that you take me back to my Blue Peter watching days … only this is a infinitely less crap ;). And you make it seem so doable…! I think what sets apart the better/more useful of these (dare I call them) art project videos is the exposure of the thought process, and the periodic re-evaluations that yield convergence. So thanks for doing that. I particularly like the camera shots from different angles that you've dropped in here and there-it makes me realise all of a sudden that perhaps I should be dangling my phone camera into the diorama now and then to see what the people in the world would be seeing…!
@@stephenspackman5573 that is quite the comment. Beautifully written!! I too grew up on a diet of Blue Peter and Art attack, I got into 40k when I was about 10 or so and then life and university kicked in and I didnt really get back into it until about 4 years ago and really only started building stuff and filming it towards the end of lockdown. I genuinely love it as there is a real sense of discovery for me too. I tend to build more instinctively rather than heavily plan, sometimes to my own detriment but I have also learned to embrace the constant experimentation. To adapt and overcome problems as they arise is all part of the fun. Thanks for watching and getting involved!
This is incredible stuff! I wonder a third of the way in what in the hell you're getting at, and two-thirds in I realize how amazing it is turning out! Spectacular plasma glow at the end as well. How do you do that?
Cheers dude, pretty much my journey with every build haha. I too sometimes have no idea what I'm building until thing click together. The glow for the plasma is vallejo fluro yellow over white built up in thin layers. I am by no means a great painter but let me know if you want me to do a quick tutorial on it
Did I hear 'build off?' ... Hell yeah!! I love see link how different people approach the same theme in completely different ways. Send me an email and we can come up with a plan.
Haha fair point. You could achieve similar results with a knife or even a heated knife but please take care because obviously knifes are sharp. But even a cheap hot wire cutter is a great investment for any novice builder. I would highly recommend as it opens up a whole world of possibilities. Thanks for watching
This apprach of using shapes to start out is the first time a terrain build has actually inspired me
Thanks. I'm glad it sparked something in you. I have another build using packaging coming soon
Your channel is criminally underrated. You’ve taught me so many techniques I will use for sets for stop motion. Keep up the amazing work

Great tip! It was a bit messy using straight pva but worked well in the end. Thanks for sharing and stopping by 👍
That's awesome! Now I wanna build like 4 city blocks worth of this :D
Haha funnily enough I had exactly the same thought. Thanks for watching
I already was waiting for your next video. Thanks for sharing these exquisite videos.
Thanks!
Just found your channel, and what a treasure of information it is. Thank you
Cheers Lars. Glad you found it useful. Many more videos to come!
Love the techniques and the music!
Thanks dude. I try to have a little fun with it. 👍
No hype.. No bull.. Just good solid skills..
Cheers dude, just keeping it moving haha
Very nice. I really like the way the texture came out. Great final shots and video too.
Thanks! Always trying to improve, from the build to presentation.

Thanks man, pretty simple idea but I wanted to show that even very basic builds can end up looking good. Thabks for watching.
my pleasure mate i enjoy every video u post so instructive i even learned a few things :) so i should thank you :)
Wow
That was Amazing
I never really seen how to use that
It's just a Great Idea
Thank you
Cheers dude
Tip. If you use mod podge instead of pva when sealing you dont have to worry about primer eating the styrofoam.
Great tip!! And since this video I have started to use my airbrush to prime which solves all my chemical conflicts in one step. Thanks for watching 👍
Looking great, dude. The rust effects were especially well done on this one!

A little bit of acetone does some fun things to foam!
Makes a building completely smashed into ruins.
Decides "it needs a bit more battle damage..."
😅
Great build ...
Excellent video and work, it’s a very good way for me to start in to the dioramas. Thanks 👍🏻

Please can you do one for a 7”inch Neca predator 🙏🙏🙏

Super convenient that your packaging came with a vacuum cleaner in it. That low density polystyrene fluff, huh?
