Great tip on printing the girders in two pieces for better quality.

Wow the station turned out awesome! Great tip on printing upside down. Sounds like you have a full year's work ahead of you. Happy New Year to you too.

Thank you for the update. Great progress. Your station scenery concept sounds needed. This is a station in a dense urban area, typically, there's lots of track congestion and facilties squeezed into spaces. Once you have the extra track and its laid, please provide an update with your feedback.

Happy New Year - have a great 2025!
Definitely add the area, I think you are not necessarily making a spaghetti bowl of track, but modelling density to mimic real life and give it actual purpose rather than just having track for track-sake.

The platforms are very nice, can’t wait to see how it will turn out eventually! 😍

Stations/yards are supposed to be busy places so additional trackage with purpose is an acceptable addition. I don’t think it will over crowd the area and it will give you more operational flexibility when wanted. Everything is looking great Denny, looking forward to the next update.

A fueling station would be fun. You could also put a train wash on one of the tracks, get some of that maintenance shed look with an excuse to be smaller.

First of all: love your videos. Secondly: little disappointed I didn't catch it sooner that you were down at the HOMES club in September (I saw you in one of the aisles but didn't think it was you). We're hosting our 3rd annual RPM meet in April, hoping you might be able to make it down again then. Cheers, Jim😊

I like the idea of the fueling center. Prototypical or not, your trains need a way to get fuel to run, don’t they? 😊

Great progress on your layout and the passenger platforms! The fueling area would be a good feature and your overall plan seems fine to me. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for sharing the details of your printing process. Very helpful for when others (meaning me) get into 3D printing for their layouts.

Respectfully, I would forget prototypical legalism - which is not prototypical realism. Resist the former and embrace the latter.
It already looks like the prototype in minimal form. Preserve negative space (bare plywood) as it makes sense in the end when you need the room for architecture and natural landscape. Looking great! Cheers. 😁👍

It makes sense you'd run out of track seeing how fast this has come along! You must've had some extra spare time to bang out all this trackwork! When you get more track in, you'll be nailing down the Golden Spike in no time! 😁

I like the addition of the two tracks and service building, but think I'd stop there. Have you given thought about how you will clean the tracks under the passenger canopy?

Resin printing comes with it's own challenges. I could never get bridge portals, which are much beefier than those arches, to print without warping. The forces generated when pulling the print off the resin tank film after every layer tug at the part causing it to warp. I eventually cut them out of plywood on my laser instead. Figuring out how to best make parts and models is half the fun.

Fdm has a lot of limitations. This is the one niche that it does really well in

I like the new configuration. And a fueling depot would be cool, but here's something to consider. However, I believe I recalled you were trying to not get into that, maybe go with a single track refueling station and drop a couple of out of service tracks running alongside it as many of the larger terminals have. Just something to consider

the fuel area and sanding house are kind of a must have are they not? traveling by GO it is one of the buildings that really stand out and kind of tell you where you are

I'll simply upload the STLs and people can do it over they want with them
