    Your latest 3 videos address almost all the problems that I currently have. I am a dancer btw. I find that the right side of my body is pretty imbalanced. And they are all linked; recently when I got an injury in my knee, a series of problems started showing up. It's as if i was doing a lot of wrong movements. It is confusing , but thanks to you for putting out your knowledge. It simplifies things and gives hope
    thanks Theo

    Great content as always. I'd love to see you breakdown tibia tendonitis, also being a very common injury in parkour.

    • @moosarahman
      @moosarahman 2 роки тому

      I love Georgepks style and try to be that springy but my shins end up hurting, is there smthn wrong with my shins or is George just really springy?
      Like can a normal person imitate George’s style pain free?

    Wonderful to see someone with personal experience and a lot of knowledge to address this with a sort of an holistic approach!
    Currently you focus a lot on what is going wrong - what I and probably many others affected would love to see is an in-detail "guide" on what to do to get out of this downward spiral of unhealthy movements.
    You touch on it slightly in these videos so far, but more hands/legs-on would help (me) a lot. ;)
    Cheers and thanks for your work!

    Hey just watched this video and it’s giving me so much hope I’ve had very bad shin splints for two years now and, if I fix my walking to stretch my hip flexors will my shin splints go away? I’m wondering how quickly I can return to sports and will I have to fix my running and jumping too?

    Thank you for the video. I play Volleyball and I have had shin splints for half a year now, it started when I tried to jump higher by doing explosive jump trainings. Does the walking tip still apply when the shin splints come from jumping?

  • @kasahacker
    @kasahacker 2 роки тому +3

    I fixed my shin splints purely by switching to minimalistic zero drop shoes. Suddenly all the tension from my legs (calves, quads, IT band etc.) disappeared. It totally makes sense after watching this video.

    What if the anterior tibialis is bulging while dorsiflexing it ? Is it because of shin splints ?

  • @patstr96
    @patstr96 6 місяців тому +1

    i have to agree with You. I have now running coach that is giving me like 30 minutes workout for running technique. When i put myself more forward with leg behind my stomach and butt work hard and i have no pain in shin splints. Could even spring 400meters with no pain. Casual jog to a bus stop gives me shin splints everytime, because i just do bad fast walk.

      Great observation. HOW we run, is much more important if we run or not.

      @@TheoTanchak technique is technique (learn it first) and still have to solve tight soleus, because shin pain will be coming back forever.

    I'm curious, even when laying down, flexing my ankle/shin up and down, I can feel my shin flaring up and starting to tense up and eventually it resists movement and doesn't want to move and causes pain. What could it be?
