What about a torn roto cuff ? I' have this damaged right shoulder for ten years now and need to work on exercises that will help with the weak muscles. Any help would be appreciated...
I have been dealing with shoulder issues for quite some time now (2+ years), and while the origin of the problem is unknown, my best guess is that it was from a strain during pull-up exercises. When my palms are facing downward or to my sides, I can barely lift my arms up due to sharp pain. However, if my palms are facing upward, I can lift my arms up quite easily and quickly with significantly less pain. The painful ranges of motion don't hurt if I simply support my arm while moving it upward. If my arm is straight out, holding it there and moving it above my head freely isn’t too bad, although not perfect. Nearly all of the pain goes away naturally after some time, but will unfortunately flare up again whenever I attempt to reintroduce exercise, stalling any progress I want to make. The lingering pain can be quite severe. My shoulder also clicks/pops in certain ranges of motion. What does this sound like to you? Is there anything you recommend doing outside of the routine seen here? Does my condition sound like it fits the criteria of this routine? I would be so grateful for your expertise. I’m ready to heal and be done with this pain. 🙏
What you describe is Empty Can Test, vrs Full Can Test. Look up those on UA-cam. PhysioTutors have some good videos explaining. Unfortunately those tests are not very specific, they just imply that your supraspinatus is ok but you have some impingement.
Exercise 2 is very laboured with the sore shoulder. Basically, it’s so stiff, it won’t go where the other arm does. Should I see greater flexibility over time?
Yes, but it can take a while sometimes. Don't push it too hard. Keep it within a pain free range. It sounds like you probably need to release the Posterior Capsule too... ua-cam.com/video/gtuT9AodDQ8/v-deo.html
Doing exercise 2 causes a click in my shoulder - specifically when raising the arm while against the wall. is this something I should be careful about? its a pretty loud and consistent click
That is the instability. It's pretty common, so it should be ok. Just don't push it. Be gentle and strengthen slowly to get more stability back over time.
Thank. You for this video. But I do not understand why in the second exercise when you raise your arms up, you want to keep the shoulders down. It’s more anatomically correct to let your shoulders ride up when you’re bringing your arms up over your head. For example, if you’re doing a handstand, you don’t want to keep your shoulders down you want to let them rise up so that the shoulder blade can support the weight of your body So it would be great to understand why you want to keep your shoulders down when you’re raising your arms up and exercise number two
It is anatomically correct to rotate your shoulder blades up... not lift them. When you raise your hands right up, you want your lower traps & serratus anterior to work, because they upwardly rotate your shoulder blade, which is crucial for healthy shoulders. (1/3rd of the movement should happen in the shoulder blade) These 2 muscles also keep the shoulders from lifting, so by keeping your shoulders down in helps you to use these 2 muscles.
I believe I have an issue with my left serratus anterior as I cannot feel it working. I just feel a burning, no activation of muscle, and I have to stop as the burning is unbearable. My right side works and I can feel it working as intended. If it’s a weak serratus and it burns and does not activate, what can I do?
Sir I have been doing some of these exercises consistently but in vain except the second exercise that I did occasionally…. I am still not getting better
Hey sir my right shoulder iss pain,Mri which there is a paritial articular surface rim rent tear involving the anterior and mid aspect of supraaspinatus tendon insertion measuring 9.5x5mm(APxTR) involving less than 25% of tendon thickness. No retraction or atrophy of muscle seen. Which exesice is help me . Pain this shoulder yea but some time iss normal ☹guide me sir plss
If it's less than 25% you can usually fix it with rehab exercise, but it'll take a while. These exercises will help, but you also need to rehab the rotator cuff muscles if there's a tear. Especially the torn muscle. So Look up supraspinatus rehab exercises
I cannot do the impringment execizes in the other video at all. I don't understand, that anyone with biceps tendonities can do them. I fell on my shoulder.

Do the pec minor release in this video too. The first exercise. To allow the shoulder to move upward easier.

Thank. You for this video.
But I do not understand why in the second exercise when you raise your arms up, you want to keep the shoulders down. It’s more anatomically correct to let your shoulders ride up when you’re bringing your arms up over your head.
For example, if you’re doing a handstand, you don’t want to keep your shoulders down you want to let them rise up so that the shoulder blade can support the weight of your body
So it would be great to understand why you want to keep your shoulders down when you’re raising your arms up and exercise number two
It is anatomically correct to rotate your shoulder blades up... not lift them.
I can barely do #2. I'll keep trying.
Sir I have been doing some of these exercises consistently but in vain except the second exercise that I did occasionally…. I am still not getting better
Try adding this....

I solved my chronic shoulder pain by doing the dead hang on a bar daily.
Yeah, works for some people
Hey sir my right shoulder iss pain,Mri which there is a paritial articular surface rim rent tear involving the anterior and mid aspect of supraaspinatus tendon insertion measuring 9.5x5mm(APxTR) involving less than 25% of tendon thickness. No retraction or atrophy of muscle seen.
Which exesice is help me . Pain this shoulder yea but some time iss normal ☹guide me sir plss
Other joint iss normal
If it's less than 25% you can usually fix it with rehab exercise, but it'll take a while. These exercises will help, but you also need to rehab the rotator cuff muscles if there's a tear. Especially the torn muscle. So Look up supraspinatus rehab exercises
@@BodyFixExercises thnks sir but exericses video link paa deo 🙏
And what if those exercises hurt??
Don't do it
I cannot do the impringment execizes in the other video at all. I don't understand, that anyone with biceps tendonities can do them. I fell on my shoulder.
I cant lift my arms upor side coz ive had torn tendon.
Isn’t there a simple surgery for this?
I bet there is but I haven’t been able to find it yet. All of the doctors I’ve gone to want to do a total reconstruction and I don’t need that.
It hurts too much, I can’t do any of this. I can’t move my arm without pain.
Sounds like you've torn a rotator cuff muscle, or something more serious. I'd get an MRI. Don't do any exercises that hurts.

People in major pain can not do these exercises. Also not good for people with bad knees.
