Great video Adam. I’ve been experiencing garden burnout recently, as the temperatures have remained in the high 20’s. I’m ready for some cooler temps! This video has given me plenty of inspiration for when the cooler days finally arrive. It’s usually a short interval between the cooler fall days and the prolonged freeze of a Canadian winter, when very little gardening can take place. Then we switch to indoor gardening (seed starting & houseplants) and “armchair gardening”, aka dreaming of next year’s garden! I hope you manage to stay inspired in your garden, so that you can continue to inspire all of us!
Hi Everyone. I do hope you enjoy this video, and if you do I'd like to invite you to both subscribe to my channel and give this video a 'Thumbs Up'. Thank you! I'd also welcome your comments, feedback and suggestions for future videos.
Thank you. I have a self sown cotoneaster on the north side of my greenhouse, by the door. I don't like it much and it is a nuisance where it is growing but i leave it there as the bees absolutely love it early in spring when it flowers and the blackbirds love to tuck into the berries in Autumn. The things we do for our wildlife, lol! Happy gardening 🙂
Hi Adam. I planted double late tulips in garden beside where established bluebells have been growing for years but the tulips didnt flower. Lots of leaves. I dug them up and plan to put them in pots soon. What are the chances that they will bloom this year do you think. Enjoy your channel very much 🌷🌸🌹
There are a number of reasons tulips haven’t flowered. If you bought small bulbs these can take a season to bulk up to flowering size, so do always buy the biggest size of bulbs you can find. If bulbs are planted too shallowly they sometimes don’t flower but just produce leaves. Poor soil can influence flowering. And also if bulbs don’t receive a long cool period they sometimes won’t flower. You should find more suggestions on the internet. Better luck this year!
Hi Adam, Many thanks for the video.😊 I am still catching up with your previous videos, so I have not watched them all, as yet. Have you done one on collecting dahlia seeds and sowing them?
Pleased to hear you are enjoying my videos. No I haven’t tried collecting seed from dahlias as so tend to deadhead promptly and only grow named varieties that I save the tubers of from year to year. However this could be a fun experiment for me to try!
