- "It all started with Lee Petty and Richard, then my dad and me. There's four generations of us and we're all still alive and we've all done the same thing in a 50-year period of time." - Adam Petty.

I'll say iam an old guy Adam Petty really really impressed me how he could drive "I really believe he was a natural "he had his grandfather's traits had that big petty grin it is to me so sad that he he died so so young " I really feel he would have raised the Petty bar of performance and kept Petty racing alive God bless the Petty's
he could drive a car like his grandpa and dad i just wish we could have seen more of his racing a true legend i will miss watching him race , my grandma always said god gets the great ones first and nice ones first rip champ
Beautiful tribute!
Adam was my absolute favorite!
Hard to believe he's been gone longer that he was alive.
2000-2001 Saddest years in NASCAR history

America in general started the new millennium on the wrong foot.

“We are all still alive” :/
Man that so sad
"We're all still alive"
I doubt that, Adam.
is there any video of what happened??? 😢
I havent found one. It happened during a practice session, so there probably wasn't a whole lot of footage of the wreck.
Griffin Mundell I don't think there's any video. But if you want to know what happened his throttle stuck going into the corner and he hit the wall really hard. Same thing happened to Kenny Irwin jr.
