Im from the same area as Adam Petty. Many restaurants and stores still have his photos and other memorabilia all these years later. The impact of his death is still felt all around, and will for quite some time. Rest in peace, Adam.
@@larrygreen8912 Langley Speedway, Hampton VA. I was walking down pit road to the car I helped with in a lower class and spotted him with a group of people next to his car, couldn't miss him with that Petty smile!! Such a tragic loss for the Petty family and for Nascar, looked like happy nnnnnñ young man and happy to be there that evening racing with the locals.
Good kid. Winning kid. This upcoming year will be the 20th anniversary since he died. Hard to believe it's been that long because I remember it like yesterday.
His death is so incredibly sad. I'm already five years older than he was at death and I feel like I've hardly lived. I can only imagine how his dad and grandpa took it. It's a testament to Kyle's love of racing that he was still able to keep doing it. If I were in his shoes I can't say I'd do the same thing, I would definitely need some time away that's for sure.
Adam petty you are a live on the speedway on the race track in Daytona 500 me & your families of nascar remember you racing your race car god bless you & you're family forever in our hearts on the speed way too
Jesus Christ I've seen some sad s*** in my life how I lost both my grandfathers my grandmother and my dad it's not looking too good for my mom or grandma I don't have any kids and I'm an only child 36 now but it still has me so sad what happened to Adam Petty
Adam petty was killed at New Hampshire Speedway in a practice crash after his throttle stuck, he hit turn 3 at over 100+ MPH he died instantly, his car rode the entirety of turns 3 and 4
God bless Adam Petty

He came to our local track here in Virginia in the late 90s, he would have been a superstar I'm sure if things would have been different today.
Was that South Boston speedway?

Adam was younger than MTJ
He probably would have won 3-6 cups and be still racing today maybe with a son of his own
No way dude. He wasnt even that good in Busch let alone Cup
@@BrewerUMich91 Who knows, he blew his engine and had to retire and placed 30th. He could be as famous as Jimmie Johnson

thanks for the video and I love you so much and I love you so much and I love you so much and I love you so much
Dusti Beasley starting to have feeling for you as well ❤️
I would have loved to see Adam Petty drive his new Dodge Intrepid RT race car in the 2001 Daytona 500
He would have beat Richard Petty's record of 200 wins.
Not a chance
I doubt it, but I think he'd be famous as Dale Jr.
wtf he just lived a life for a little while 😐
He was taken from us too soon
