Sounds like you're less focused on the wedding and more focused on the marriage. After 45 years of marriage I can tell you you're doing the right thing! Congratulations! God bless you.
So True. Stay focused on the marriage. The wedding is one day. Im married 30 years in June. Best years of my life. Not to mention my twin girls. Its better than i thought it could ever be.
I'll soon be 63 years old. Got married in 1974 at the age of 15. Had my first baby at 16. Been married for 47 years this last November to the same man. I wore my eighth grade graduation dress for my wedding dress. We got married at the preachers house with two witnesses. We didn't go on no honeymoon because we didn't have any money and a baby on the way. My husband and I went to school together from elementary to 1 year in high school. He was my best friend. There have been hard times but we worked them out together. Together is the key. We both were born in NC and we still live close to where we both were raised. I also have a twin sister, we look nothing alike. My husband came from a big family. There were 16 brothers and sisters total. I wish yall the best life can give! Rely on each other and you will make it I'm sure. You both seem like the perfect couple. Thanks for bringing back good memories for me!
Congratulations! We got married 18 years ago. It was a small outside wedding at our favorite spot by the river. I made my dress, his coat, and our cake. I think I spent about $300 for the whole thing. One fun thing that is a family tradition on my mom’s side is to ask each guest to bring one flower, then make the bride’s bouquet from them all. It kind of represents the good wishes from your friends and family. 😊
Married in 1974 at church, had reception in the fellowship hall with a wedding cake, mints, nuts and punch. No music at the reception. Loved the simplicity, happy times. and uncomplicated memories!
We were married in 1981 and had our reception in the church gym. Women from my Mom’s church catered our reception, 40 years later, I wouldn’t have changed a thing
We were married in December 1965, two students on Christmas break from our college and business school. Only 35 family and guests and we chose the venue as a little country church in the mountains of Oregon. We had no money (of our own nor from any family), so the church was decorated for Christmas with lots of holly, evergreens from the mountain trees and poinsettias which decided our color scheme. Surely was simple but all the years later, definitely lovely. This year we are celebrating our 56th anniversary. and can only tell you that "simple" is underrated and all the trials of our marriage would not have been any different if we had an expensive fabulous wedding. Best of luck to you two. Plan the wedding that is meaningful to you and enjoy a long and happy life together.
“CONGRATULATIONS” ON YOUR WEDDING ♥️ HOW “WISE” OF YOU-TWO TO HAVE A LOVELY SIMPLE WEDDING THAT YOU WILL “ENJOY” AND NOT SPEND EXCESSIVE MONEY AND REGRET IT…..INVESTING IN YOUR HOME & BUILDING A SAVING ACCOUNT IS GODLY AND WISE… ♥️ SAVOR EVERY MOMENT TOGETHER ♥️ GOD BLESS YOU BOTH 🙏
When my husband and I got married, we had a simple wedding too. Everyone brought a covered dish and we had different family members make their favorite cake to share. We had about 8 different cakes. So much fun! Congratulations to the two of you. You’re both so sweet! ❤️
Congratulations to you both. When I was still a Pastor, I did all types of weddings. I always thought the simpler the wedding the better the marriage. The wedding is to be a celebration of the relationship. Unfortunately so many today put more work into the celebration rather than the relationship. I wish you both the best. You are quality people and I am sure you will both be great together and each other.
We had a potluck reception in the backyard and our wedding in the front yard under the pine trees. The dress and the party are one day, the marriage is forever and I'm glad you realize that! God bless you and your future!
My daughter got married 3 years ago in the back yard of the home they bought. She had 2 girls stand with her and he had 2 guys stand with him. Because her Dad isn't in her life, her two brothers walked her down the pathway to her groom. He wore navy pants and a button up shirt, she wore a beautiful dress that she bought on line, the wedding cake was a raspberry delight cake from Publix, I bought the wedding topper, and for food we had chips/crackers, dips, veggie/fruit trays, and different kinds of sliders. There were about 50 guest and it was perfect. The family and friends that they wanted there, were there. It was personal, intimate, and very relaxed. Enjoyment was had by all. Congratulations to you guys. May your wedding be everything you want it to be. Many blessings.
I went to a potluck wedding once. It was great. My husband and I thought about it, but in the end we decided on a very small, intimate event with 9 guests: Our parents, siblings and grandparents. It sounds cliche, but it truly was the happiest day of my life. I smiled so much it hurt, and I felt like I was going to float away (on joy, not booze! the wedding was dry). That was 16 years ago. We're still so happy. You two are so absolutely adorable I can hardly stand it. ❤ You're going to have a wonderful life together! Congratulations.
Congrats on your setting the date! My husband and I just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary and the best thing I can tell you is that don't stop doing things y'all enjoy doing together as a couple courting, be best friends, and never stop with the little things. Talk about what bothers you. Don't ever bottle it up because it will build up. Have a wonderful weekend and I'm looking forward to a new house tour.
SO happy for you!!! My daughter got married in the spring two years ago in the Hill Country in Texas. It is expensive, but I found that the food is important because people will travel to come to the wedding, and you need to feed them well. Be careful with your budget and spend on what is most important to you (flowers, photography/pictures, venue/setting, music). We had a string quartet, and the live music really set the mood. Tell your mom to look for her dress early. I was so focused on my daughter’s dress and the wedding, I forgot about my dress. I found one three days! before the ceremony. The most important thing is to not stress, try to enjoy the process, watch your budget, and enlist the help of family and friends! You will be a beautiful bride!
As someone who has been married for a short time before she left because she tried to control me and change me but I refused to let her, 2 things, Love comes from acceptance and marriage is not 50/50, it's 100/100.
We had a private ceremony at our church and then had a reception a few weeks later at my parent’s house. We rented two big white tents and lots of tables and did a ‘dressed up’ potluck. Decorated on a budget mostly with pinecones, ferns, ivy, ribbon and cafe lights. It was beautiful and allowed everyone to focus on telling stories, taking pictures, dancing, spending time with family, and EATING cake. 🥰 🎂
Congratulations Austin and Corie on setting a date for your wedding! A wedding should never be focused a huge big fancy wedding, most people that focus on this big huge weddings don’t focus on the part that counts the most which is the marriage and your life together, that’s what counts above all. You 2 have your ❤️ in the right place. Awww, how sweet, Austin believes in good old fashion shivery!
So happy for ya'll. You remind me so much of me and my husband. We also had a beautiful simple wedding. We were married December 10, 1972 - almost 49 years ago! Yes, time does fly. You are starting your life together right by your gratitude to God for putting ya'll together. Your marriage will have ups and downs, but with God at the center, you will be happy. The marriage is forever - the wedding is just that day! Keep God first and then you two and He will bless your life together. God bless!
Me and my husband had a very very simple wedding with only 20 people. We didn’t even invite some of the family lol. I had a 100 dollar dress from Lulus and we had a big sit down meal at a table with Italian food and yummy cake. No dancing or bridesmaid or groomsmen. We got married 3/3/2018! March is a pretty month and we had amazing weather for ours. You won’t regret having a simple to do. It’s not worth it IMO to stress over something that is supposed to be about you and your husbands union before the Lord. I like your mindset about it. Enjoy this special time ❤️
Ron & I got married 5 months after meeting thru a dating service. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary this year! Best of luck to you both. You’ll be a beautiful bride and groom❣️
I met my hubs online (twice) almost 10 years ago! The first time I didn't feel he was in a place to date, so I told him no. The second was on a different site, and we went to dinner.. and I was all in! Praying you have many years of faith, laughing, music, and family! Congrats y'all!
Congratulations Corie & Austin. We had a potluck at our wedding and had it at our church. We only had to pay the minister and the church didn’t charge us to use the basement for the reception. Our cake was simple and the outfits we wore were reasonably priced as well. The whole thing cost us less than 200 dollars and everyone had a great time.
Great video! You mentioned your folks had mints at their reception. I'm old, and a wedding isn't complete without a bowl of wedding mints! God bless you!
My daughter and son-in-law served platters and platters of Buffalo wings and finger sides at their reception. They had known each other since ninth grade and never dated anyone else. But when they actually set the date, the year they graduated from college, I was so emotional I cried.💜
Congratulations! I agree don’t spend a fortune on the wedding when your future is ahead. A wedding last for a day your future is a lifetime. God bless your marriage and your families.
What a cute, vivacious young couple y'all are, Austin and Corie. God bless you abundantly in your upcoming marriage. This is great news that y'll have now set a specific date! Remember the Platinum Rule: Treat each other the way you would want him/her to treat your mother.
We got married in April on his family’s land and had the reception at the neighborhood clubhouse- all free- used leftover decorations, my best friend bought the flowers for the 6 person bridal party and my mom altered my free dress! It was a dream! Walmart cakes bc I don’t love cake and my grandfather married us! I watched y’all’s wedding already and keep up with your lives! I loved it all
In 1971 Got married in the church no fee. Had the reception in the Fellowship hall no fee.I rented my Bridal gown and so did the attendants. For reception had cake, nuts, mints and punch. Been married for 50 years. My niece did the barbecue thing and we all brought homemade sides. Congratulations Yall
Congratulations! My husband and I had a simple wedding too. 18 years ago next week as a matter of fact! I was church secretary, not at my church but I did want the young pastor I worked for to perform the ceremony. We planned to just go upstairs to the sanctuary with a witness and have him marry us but my best friend got wind of it and said oh no! You see we were middle aged and both had been married before. It had been decades for me but he had lost his wife to cancer several months before we met and we were both on a tight budget. My friend insisted on donating the cake and it grew from there. A friend at work wanted to make my dress, another coworker bought all the materials for the dress, another friend who is an amateur photographer took the pictures, friends from my home church catered all the food, another friend who is a florist made all the flower arrangements as a gift. My coworkers all gave us money for a short honeymoon to Myrtle Beach and Charleston. All we bought were a pair of shoes for me and a tie for him. It was so very special! It doesnt have to be expensive to be special! Blessings in your life together!
Just so stinking cute! Love those sweet smiles of happiness! Congratulations! Just one thing, spend the money for a professional photographer. You will not regret it. Photos are so precious. And ask family to let him take care of everything. People are so phone crazy today, they are often a nuisance and can be a distraction😂
Re the wedding dress, although you will only be wearing it for a few hours, keep in mind the photos last a lifetime. This is one time to really treat yourself. Re camo - don't dismiss it for the guys. Maybe neckties? Could be a nice twist and make the day more personalized. Of course they can come off later on.
Congratulations on setting your wedding date guys! I'm totally with you about keeping it simple. My husband and I got married in my Pastor's study at church with two witnesses and no reception. I wore a nice dress I already had and my husband wore a suit and tie. We were together 37 years until he passed away this year so the size of the wedding sure doesn't make a difference!
CONGRATULATIONS 👏. MY DAUGHTER IS AN OUTDOOR GIRL. She and her husband loved camping and the water. I bought her a beautiful dress from David's bridal. It was gorgeous and it was only $400.00. You two are so right about being conservative. It's foolish to spend a fortune on a wedding that only last a day. That's money that you can spend on your house! Of course it's a day to remember but, you guys are going to be smart about it. God put you together NO DOUBT!! It's just so refreshing to see the two of you guys together. Y'all remind me of me and my husband when we first met. I know God is going to bless you both 💞
My wife Sharon and I were married on October 31, 1964. We were much like you two had a very simple wedding reception after we were married in the church. The reason we were married on Halloween, it was a Saturday and the only day they had available for the church in the foreseeable future. I was a combat engineer and there was already talk about Vietnam and I wasn’t scheduled to get out of the army until early of 1967. We’ve been married 57 years and have always had God at the center of our marriage. We only went with each other, because of my military obligation for three months. Both my wife and myself knew that God had orchestrated or planned we meet the way we did and we had so much in common. We met the year before at a wedding, I was the best man she was the maid of honor through friends of ours that were the bride and groom. Both my wife and I watch your channel because of the godly values that you have along with the morals and reminding us of how our generation used to be. I know that God looks down upon you and your sister along with Austin and of course your family and smiles at the fact that you live your faith not only through your home, but here on this channel. God‘s blessings to you all and may you know the peace and the love of Lord always!!
......my niece got married in an old barn in the mountains, they had decorated and the men wore jeans boots matching shirts and the ladies matching dresses and boots.....was different and special ......you will be a beautiful bride and he will be very handsome and it will be your very own unique kind of wedding, special for you 2 .....thanks and God bless y'all
Congratulations! The most fun wedding I ever went to was an open-invite potluck at a park. Most folks brought a dish or drinks to share, folks brought instruments and took turns playing during the meal, then we all danced, packed up our dishes and went home. Everyone pitched in and many hands made light work.
You could do an outdoor wedding, get a modest wedding dress, or even a used wedding dress, maybe at your house in your back yard, or at a the small church where your Grandma Gazzie went to church. That would be a beautiful place for an outdoor reception, and the church wedding You could have a small wedding cake made for you and Austin, but a large sheet cake for the guests, some place like a Meijer's or Krogers, or whatever grocery chain is near you. You could have an outdoor barbeque, or picnic setting.
I get the whole it’s about you in your marriage but idk I think the actual ceremony and all that is for your families it’s for them to come together and for them to see how amazing your little family will be and how much you guys care about each-other
My grand father married me in my parents unfinished living room the guest were all casual even hubby had to borrow a dress shirt from my dad..I wore my old and do mean old high school prom dress..I have need to go "big"even today.. I love a simple life style Congratulations on picking the date and I will be praying for y'all
Congratulations on setting a date. Enjoy every day with each other as it comes. My bride and I last month celebrated 34yrs as a married couple and I can hardly believe how time just flies by. If simplicity makes the two of you happy- go for it. Life has enough pressures to deal with, no need to make things more complicated when it isn't what you want. You are wise to choose carefully as you two will have plenty of things that you will have to spend your money on and having an expensive wedding isn't one of them.
The sweetness of both of you just radiates! How proud your parents must be at the choices you have made, your character, and love of family. You definitely have all it takes to make a great success of your marriage. I will keep you in my prayers. Blessings....
I love the simple approach to everything, it seems like you're both focuse⁵d on what's important rather than superficial things. My cousin's wife owns a wedding photography business in Waynesville, and some families are spending unreal amounts of money on their weddings. You two seem so down to earth and real, so relaxed in each other's presence. The Holy Spirit shines on in both of you!
My sister in law and brother had a church potluck style wedding and honestly, even though I’ve photographed and attended high end weddings, their wedding is the one I remember and loved the most.
So much wisdom for such young'uns! I could say so much, but will keep my comment focused on the most important thing. Keep the Lord at the center of your marriage. As you grow in Him, you will grow together. As sweet as it seems, if you make each other your main focus, you'll always be let down. But with Christ as your cornerstone, your foundation will be solid and you will both have an unchanging reference point to give you guidance in the good times and the bad. SO proud of you both!
If you have access to a Costco, their white cakes are absolutely delicious and you can have them specifically lettered. They have cream cheese in them and the icing is not sickening sweet. It won't cost you and arm and a leg. You look like a great couple. Also, butter mints and mixed nuts are inexpensively purchased and put in nut cup (everything available online) and use the filled nut cups arranged around the table for folks to have with their cake and punch and they are pretty.
Many small community churches, there is a ladies organization that makes food for weddings and funerals, and that is really nice. Another place is American legion puts on a great meal for a good price too.
You both are so sweet! Congratulations! btw, my mom was married in 1975 and when I was planning my wedding she said that she had cake and mints at hers. When you mentioned the mints thing about your mom's wedding that made me smile. :)
Start praying for an early spring warm day. I've seen a March 7th as beautiful as late May. Then I've see a March 23rd with 5 inches of snow. I'm it will be perfect for your perfect day. May the Good Lord bless you both.
congratulations to y'all. You used the word, "smitten" I didn't know that was still in use today, especially among young people, it was really cute. y'all make a great, cute couple and I pray y'all will have a long wonderful life together.
Hey it’s Kim Davis I sub to your Mom’s channel! So happy I found yours. I love all of y’all to pieces. I’m so happy for you both. You and Katie are so funny 🤣 your going to be so happy! I met my husband and 2 weeks later we were married. Still going strong after 32 years. God Bless you. ❤️❤️
One of the highlights of any Southern gathering is that the Southerners bring food. The BEST!! I'm so excited for you. 19 years ago we snuck away to the courthouse and got married; took a taxi to the courthouse and actually walked home. Stopped at the steakhouse for lunch and had burgers.
We bought a house and had a home wedding-got married in the living room in front of about 20 friends, then had an at-home pot-luck reception that included about 50 more people. We are traditional musicians and so are most of our friends, so we had a big music session during the reception. I wore a white dress I bought in a dept store (tea length) and made my own bouquet out of my favorite flowers. All the flowers in the house were bouquets we put together from the yard and the grocery stores. A friend made the cake. It was the best wedding, completely non-corporate and very personal.
I have been to weddings that cost $$$. However, mine was really pretty without spending so much. His grandmother said that we were just as married as the ones that spent $$$. We didn’t start with debt or make my parents pay for it. We had it on the half hour-1:30. The old saying is about the clock hands going up instead of down. If the hands are going down that it is bad luck for the marriage!! 🤣🤣 Have fun planning your beautiful wedding.
Pretty dress, a few flowers and let the landscape of where you choose be a major contributor to the elegance. A beautiful park that has some nice spots, a lakeside and have each person bring a covered dish.
Very proud of you being old fashion I was 27 years old and did not spend night or be with my husband until marriage and those marriages last now ups and downs but made it
Congratulations Y'all!!! Both of my daughters had small but beautiful weddings. I made my daughters dresses, their bridesmaids dresses... We made the bouquets, corsages, & boutineers. I worked in a sewing room that made designer ladies dresses. My oldest got married in a church built in the 1870's, well maintained, small & beautiful. She had her reception in a reception hall at a Holiday Inn. We had pizza, pasta, salad, & wedding cake. My younger daughter got married in a beautiful park. It has an arched bridge "to walk down the aisle." The ceremony was in a large gazebo. They have a meeting hall in the park. We had potluck. I hope & pray y'all have a long happy life ❤together.
Congratulations on setting your wedding day. 💑 This date is close to us, as March 12th, was our first daughter's birthday. We have been married 51 years in May. Again best wishes to you both!! ❤
I felt the same way about my dress...I bought a used one on ebay for 49.00 and it was nice. My husband wore a nice suit but not a tux and he looked very handsome. We actually went to the Smokys and got married at Chapel At The Park. It was pretty wonderful. I'm happy for you and pray you have a wonderful wedding day!
CONGRATULATIONS! We are all looking forward to your wedding. 👰🤵🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂 It will b so special because it's yours. Then you will be starting your life TOGETHER. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My wife and I spent about $600.00 on our wedding in 1976. We just this year celebrated 45 years together! When we got engaged, even way back then we were astounded at how much of a "racket" the wedding industry was, and how expensive it could be. We never regretted our small wedding! We placed Christ at the Head of our marriage, and still do to this day. That's the best advice we could give you both!! You two "kids" have done a good job of planning, and concentrated on investing in getting your house and fixing it up. That is WAY more important than blowing money on a big wedding! If you believe you're happy at this point, you two will be embarking on a level of commitment that is tenfold what it is now once that day in March comes and the two of you become one, and that's exciting, trust us!! May God Bless you both, and we're so happy for you. Enjoy all your plans and celebration!!!
You could do a small cake and/or cupcakes. Congratulations, Corie and Austin!!! And, you can always have your reception in your yard. You're off to a great start with a house, furniture, and all!!!
Congratulations! My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years, have known each other for almost 20. We are from West Virginia and live in Texas. We had our wedding in WV because that's where all our family is. We had a big cookout/reunion style wedding. Hamburgers/hotdogs (so I chuckled when y'all said hotdogs), nachos and cheese, popcorn, sno cones. We ended up being so crazy since we traveled for it. But not as crazy if we did something real in depth. We ended up having cake/cupcakes from Walmart that my brother-in-law ended up picking up between the ceremony and reception 🤣 we didn't even eat cake. I made all the decorations and he made the backdrop for the photobooth. We had a bunch of yard games and 'carnival' style prizes...but all the kids ended up spending the whole time in the pool (we had our reception at one of my aunt's). Our ceremony was along the creek at a part with just our parents, siblings, his aunt because she couldn't travel far. It was the best low-key day!
You ain’t kiddin’ about the cost of venues! My daughter (Emma) had her wedding on 11/20/21. Her in-laws wanted a big flashy venue. 1. That’s not her. 2. That’s no where near our budget! Emma & Joseph first met at the rodeo grounds. They decided to get married there. It was a perfect outside wedding. We used one of the metal buildings there for the reception. From start to finish, they had the wedding of their dreams for just under $1,900. I used a lot of decorations from our 4-H fall banquet. They did something really special for the unity part. Instead of candles or braiding ropes, they got 2 of my mason jelly jars, filled them with dirt from the arena and poured them into a small shadow picture box. Then they added their favorite wedding photo of them to the box. It turned out really cute!! Praying you & Austin have a marriage full of love, adventure and lots of memories. God bless you both!
When I got married (100 years ago) we just wore our church best, had a big ol' pot luck dinner, neither of us like cake so we had cheesecake and I let those who WANTED to fuss-fuss. My neice fussed with my hair, my brother fussed with music, my sister fussed with flowers, my mother fussed with food, my cousin fussed with photos...and I was thrilled that it was so beautiful and because they were fussin I wasn't. The people who were there loved us so the whole affair was so intimate and loving. It'll be that way for ya'll.
Our wedding was simple. I made my dress, the wedding was at the church, my mom made most of the food, my mother-in-law made the cakes. The church people helped in the kitchen. The reception was at the church. I think 100 people. (Year was 1981)
Congratulations ❤️. I love the idea of a simple wedding. I’ve never understood the concept of big & expensive weddings & receptions that people these days often go in big debt for. Seems to me that the money would be much better spent on things needed for the home or even just for one another :). You’re right that family and others who love you won’t care about a bunch of fancy stuff anyway and will have the love & respect to honor your day no matter what (even if it means having hot dogs, lol!).
I had a pasta buffet I did myself. Made all my sauces ahead of time and freezes. Day before made some side salad and dressings. Than day of cooked the pasta and fingers foods. Was very affordable I think paid around $200 for 50 people. That also included my cake I made.
👏👏👏👏💒I’m excited for you both! Love that you’re keeping it simple, less stress more time to enjoy the excitement of it. I can see the love between you.💞
Sounds like you're less focused on the wedding and more focused on the marriage. After 45 years of marriage I can tell you you're doing the right thing! Congratulations! God bless you.
That’s right! Thank you so much
I love the flower bouquet tradition!
What a wonderful idea for a bouquet
I love the flower idea! Genius♥️
Your family’s bride’s bouquet tradition sounds so beautiful and meaningful.
That idea is both frugal and beautiful!!! How sweet!!
Married in 1974 at church, had reception in the fellowship hall with a wedding cake, mints, nuts and punch. No music at the reception. Loved the simplicity, happy times. and uncomplicated memories!
I did too! Mine was1973. I think the cake, nuts, and mints was 500 dollars.
We were married in 1981 and had our reception in the church gym. Women from my Mom’s church catered our reception, 40 years later, I wouldn’t have changed a thing
Sounds exactly like mine in 1975!😀
We were married in December 1965, two students on Christmas break from our college and business school.
Hey that is such a sweet story and congrats on 56 years, wow! Thank you!
“CONGRATULATIONS” ON YOUR WEDDING ♥️
HOW “WISE” OF YOU-TWO TO HAVE A LOVELY SIMPLE WEDDING THAT YOU WILL “ENJOY” AND NOT SPEND EXCESSIVE MONEY AND REGRET IT…..INVESTING IN YOUR HOME & BUILDING A SAVING ACCOUNT IS GODLY AND WISE…
♥️ SAVOR EVERY MOMENT TOGETHER ♥️
GOD BLESS YOU BOTH 🙏
When my husband and I got married, we had a simple wedding too.
I couldn’t agree with this more.
Agree! I heard one pastor say it this way, “A perfect wedding does not a perfect marriage make”.
Hey that sounds like an awesome wedding! Thank you for sharing and for being here to support us !
Love your simple wedding ideas. Save the money for something that lasts more than a day
Congratulations!!! Always remember, communication is the secret to a long marriage, and never go to bed mad.
That’s right! Thank you!
A family member’s wedding, the men wore khakis, blue shirts, black vests. Looked good.
This is just so sweet! Enough to make a grandmother cry! I am so happy you two met and I am looking forward to seeing you two live happily ever after!
Thank you!
👏👏👏 Wow! Congratulations! You two are all ready finishing each other's train of thought and each other's sentences 🤣
Enjoy this special time ❤️
Hey that sounds like a lot of fun! And yes your right it is about the union and just the family !
Thank you!
Hey that’s awesome and definitely the way to do it!!
What a beautiful love story Cory and Austen. God bless you with many happy and healthy years together. ❤️
Y’all are so lucky to have each other , as much as I love you corie I pray to God that someday he’ll bless me with a good woman, a country girl.
Aww that’s so sweet!
I'm so happy for you Two, and God Bless your Parents, wish there were more parents like them!!! God Bless. Jean
Congratulations to you both, and may you receive God's richest blessings.
Hey thank you! 😊❤️🙏🤗
What sweet friends! 🥰
@@thepressleygirls absolutely!
Bless you in your bereavement.
I know God is going to bless you both 💞
Yes we gotta save that money, Lol! And yes God has been so good to us!
Thank you for watching and sharing, God bless you guys!
......my niece got married in an old barn in the mountains, they had decorated and the men wore jeans boots matching shirts and the ladies matching dresses and boots.....was different and special ......you will be a beautiful bride and he will be very handsome and it will be your very own unique kind of wedding, special for you 2 .....thanks and God bless y'all
Congratulations! The most fun wedding I ever went to was an open-invite potluck at a park. Most folks brought a dish or drinks to share, folks brought instruments and took turns playing during the meal, then we all danced, packed up our dishes and went home. Everyone pitched in and many hands made light work.
You have a good base for your marriage God is in your house.
Thank you for sharing your meeting each other. Sounds like the Good Lord was in this plan.
I love a simple life style Congratulations on picking the date and I will be praying for y'all
Hey that’s so cool! Thank you!
You are precious, I am excited for you to share your life together with all of us who think you are such a special couple!
🙏❤️
Congratulations on setting a date. Enjoy every day with each other as it comes. My bride and I last month celebrated 34yrs as a married couple and I can hardly believe how time just flies by. If simplicity makes the two of you happy- go for it. Life has enough pressures to deal with, no need to make things more complicated when it isn't what you want. You are wise to choose carefully as you two will have plenty of things that you will have to spend your money on and having an expensive wedding isn't one of them.
Thank you!
The sweetness of both of you just radiates! How proud your parents must be at the choices you have made, your character, and love of family. You definitely have all it takes to make a great success of your marriage. I will keep you in my prayers. Blessings....
Thank you! 🙏🥰
Hey thank you so much! We are truly blessed!
No matter if you spend $500 or $5000, you will still be married, Congrats guys!
Thank you!
Hooray!! Your wedding day will be here before you know it! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
No Costco here but that sounds good! Thank you!
You guys are cute, you both would look great in anything. Meeting each other was a God Thing.
This story sounds like it was meant to be....congratulations!
Awww good! Thank you!
Congratulations from London 🙂
The two of you bring the world such joy. It's folks like you that give me hope for the future. Congratulations on setting the date!
Start praying for an early spring warm day. I've seen a March 7th as beautiful as late May. Then I've see a March 23rd with 5 inches of snow. I'm it will be perfect for your perfect day. May the Good Lord bless you both.
Yay on my birthday I’ll celebrate with you in Jesus name 🙏 Blessings to you both 💕
congratulations to y'all. You used the word, "smitten" I didn't know that was still in use today, especially among young people, it was really cute. y'all make a great, cute couple and I pray y'all will have a long wonderful life together.
Hey thank you so much 😊
That sounds like a good wedding plan.
Thank you and welcome! 🙏☺️
Sounds like such a sweet time, thanks for watching! 🥰
Never heard that about the clock hands before, cool! ⏰ 🥰
Pretty dress, a few flowers and let the landscape of where you choose be a major contributor to the elegance. A beautiful park that has some nice spots, a lakeside and have each person bring a covered dish.
🙏❤️
Very proud of you being old fashion I was 27 years old and did not spend night or be with my husband until marriage and those marriages last now ups and downs but made it
Great! And thank you!
CONGRATS!! A match made in heaven - Lord bless!
🙏❤️
Sounds like it was a beautiful day, thank you!
These random scenes of your life keep popping up on my feed and I love it!
Chocolate, will melt in the sun. Just in case you're thinking about outside. Congratulations, this is so exciting. 💖
Thank you!
You could buy bakery cakes and put them together and add the fancy stuff yourself. (Columns, etc)
Good point, thank you! 😂🙏🥰
You two are so right for each other and so cute !!! God did a good job with you both. Looking forward to the wedding. 💖
🙏❤️
Y’all are the cutest little couple!!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
Austin is one lucky fellow. Congratulations to both of you and my best wishes for a long and happy life.
Thank you!
Our wedding was simple. I made my dress, the wedding was at the church, my mom made most of the food, my mother-in-law made the cakes. The church people helped in the kitchen. The reception was at the church. I think 100 people. (Year was 1981)
Congratulations,, you two make a great couple and i am happy for you guys..
My husband and I met online. We have been together 14 yrs. Neither of us had ever thought of online dating.
yay congrats
Congratulations ❤️. I love the idea of a simple wedding. I’ve never understood the concept of big & expensive weddings & receptions that people these days often go in big debt for. Seems to me that the money would be much better spent on things needed for the home or even just for one another :). You’re right that family and others who love you won’t care about a bunch of fancy stuff anyway and will have the love & respect to honor your day no matter what (even if it means having hot dogs, lol!).
Thank you!
I can see the love between you.💞
Love these girls and everything that they represent.
You guys are too sweet. God Bless your life together.
Love you all so much!
