Now here's a strange thing....as your grandmother I have a close-up view of you two and how you communicate with each other. You don't look alike most of the time but every now and then I look at you and you look just alike. It always startles me when that happens, and I certainly can't explain it, I just wonder how that can happen!
Nice ride along, Austin is a real-life sweetheart!

I had boy - girl twins after a long time trying. I used to laugh when people would ask if they are identical. I would say, “Yes. Until you change their diapers “. There must have been something in the water. Their kindergarten class had 3 other pairs of twins and one set of natural triplets.

My mom and her fraternal twin graduated in 1962 along with two other sets of girl-girl twins (both sets identical), a set of identical boy twins, and one boy-girl set. That's five sets out of fewer than 80 graduates! They even had a write up with pictures in the paper. :-)

Corey, you have found yourself a good man! He’s all about accepting family just as they are and you have his too. That is the first step to a lasting relationship and even more so in a marriage. People think marriage is just between the couple, but it’s not, it’s so much more. It’s two families combining together as extended family. If one of the couple can’t accept the others family, then there will always be tension and eventually make the marriage reunion weak, or worse. I enjoyed the conversation from you both and the bloopers are always humorous. Thank y’all for sharing!

My late Dad is a fraternal twin, the younger of the set. Both boys. Grandma had another set of fraternal twins, too, that was a boy and a girl. She had 16 children total in 14 pregnancies. One of her older children died in infancy, and she always missed that baby, as did all the siblings who wished they could've known what she was like. People always made fun of the big family, but Grandma wanted every one of her children. When she already had 6 living children and one baby in heaven, she was making the beds one day with the window open. It was a hot day in July or August. She overheard her neighbors at the back fence gossiping about what a scandal it was that she was pregnant again, with so many mouths to feed already. It was during the Great Depression, and believe it or not, officials were worried about the decking birth rate, trying to encourage families to have more babies. But average neighbors only thought of the money it cost. Grandma was healthy and would've had as many babies as God would give her, anyway. She listened to the neighbors for as long as she could take it, then she hollered out the window, "I hope it's twins!" And that was my uncle and my Dad. She had a few more babies, then another set of twins. When the 2nd set of twins was born, she and Grandpa couldn't agree on what to name them. Of course they were born at home in those days, so the doctor said he'd check back to fill out the birth certificate. It had to be filed within 3 days of the birth. Day 3 came along and they still couldn't agree, so the doctor told them he'd give them names, and to listen to the radio at 6 O'Clock that night to find out what he named them. This is confirmed by the oldest kids (in their 90s now!) who remember the whole family gathered around the radio to find out what the babies were named! They heard the radio announcer congratulate Mr. & Mrs. Bill Fleury on the birth of their twins, Paul and Pauline. Then one more baby came along before Grandpa went off to join the Army during WWII. If you do a UA-cam search for "Champion Father of the Army" you'll see the family at that time. The newsreel film crew came to the house to film them. The film was played at the movie theaters before the movie played. The way that came about was that the officials wanted to encourage larger family sizes, so they rewarded servicemen who had lots of children. Grandma and Grandpa had 13 children, so they got the reward. He was paid more than a high ranking officer -- I can't remember if it was Lieutenant Colonel or General. Then when Grandpa came home after the war they had 2 more children.
I will caution you both to build up a support network, because when my Dad's twin died, it was so hard on him. Dad was depressed ever after, until the day he himself died. It was the same for the other twins. The brother died first, and the sister never really got over it. She grew closer to my Dad at that time, but it was basically them being depressed together. Then she died before my Dad, so it was really sad. I really do think that if it wasn't for all the other brothers and sisters staying close to them, they might have been worse off. More than half of them are gone now, and it gets harder each time we lay another one to rest. The ones left behind are lonelier, moreso for the twins. So make sure you keep people close. But most of all draw close to God, because He is the One we truly want to be with forever ✝️🙏🏻

I, recently found your channel and your mother's...enjoying watching both of them. I did not realize you and Katie were twins. You definitely look like sisters, just didn't realize you were twins. My husband has twin girls from his first marriage. They do not look like twins at all, nor do they act like twins. The older twin is quite reserved, quiet, likes to keep to herself. She has dark brown hair and a little darker complexion than her twin. The younger twin is out going, has blondish hair that is super curly. She is a school teacher, graduated from a Christian college and has her Master's in Education. The older one stayed home and got a job. She has had several jobs all in the financial area. The company she worked for went out of business and she decided to go to a business college and got a certification in Accounting. They are not close at all.

Corie, you have the same gift as your mom for narrating. I enjoy listening to you! I have twin daughters. One of the most interesting comment we would get is are they identical? One of my daughters has very dark hair and my other daughter has light blond hair and they look very different. I used to say yes they are. I didn’t want to take their joy of thinking they encountered identical twins away and I did not want them to feel bad. They developed into polar opposites. One of my daughters earned four degrees, one of which is a doctorate in microbiology and the other is a very talented musician and very artsy. The one thing they have in common is they are very determined to go after what they want. 🌲🇨🇦

I have cousins on my mom's side who are identical twins. They are too much alike, to the point that the younger and more introverted one kept switching his activities and interests on purpose just to be different from his brother. They both ended up becoming airline pilots anyway 😆 I can't remember which of them married first, I think it was the younger, but whichever one it was, he was married when the other twin got engaged. One day the engaged twin was at the bank with his fiancee to open their joint household account. This was shortly before the wedding. They were holding hands and being lovey-dovey waiting in line, and this woman behind them jabbed him in the back "accidentally." She glared at him and "ahem" coughed a lot. He just thought she was crazy. Later come to find out that woman went straight to the other twin's wife to tell her her husband was cheating on her 🤣 And their kids called both twins "Daddy One and Daddy Two," from the time they could talk 🤣

I am an only child, and so is my twelve year old daughter. So I have no idea what it's like to have siblings but my mother, daughter, & myself always joke that no men were needed in our making because we look like carbon copies of each other with different hairstyles. We can't even tell photos of ourselves apart as toddlers if it weren't for the age of the photo paper. We have always gotten commentary about how similar we look. And I too remember the first time I saw a mother and daughter that looked as similar as we do, and I couldn't get over it. Because when it's you it can be really hard to see just how similar you are but when it's someone else it can be so shocking.

My grandmother was a twin and she had two sets of twins in her 13 kids. Usually it skips a generation, but it does run in families. The twin bond is unbreakable. They have a knowing about each other and can almost feel the other one’s emotions when they are separated or in distress or feeling joy. You are very lucky to be a twin and you will have a built in best friend for the rest of your life! The older the twins get the closer the bond. Many times girl twins get pregnant or marry very close to each other.

We were unable to communicate we bought the same swim suit and became lifeguard instructors and sent each other the same birthday card. We are very similar and are best friends and live beside each other on a farm.

You and Katie definitely favored much more when you were younger, but I think that is true of most twins. If I see old videos of you that are more than 6 or 7 years old I usually have a really hard time telling you apart. Everyone once in a while I'll see a more recent picture and have to look at a little harder to figure out if its you or Katie. But most of the time its very easy now. I even gotten to the point now that I can usually tell you apart just by listening to your voices. So a lot of times I'll be watching one of Tipper's videos and I'll hear voices in the back ground and I'll think "yep that's Katie" or "what did Corie say"?

I have mirror twin nephews who are now both Marines. Mirror twins are opposites in many ways because of how they divided at conception. Because of that, one is very good at linguistics and the other is very math oriented. During junior high and high school they used to pretend to be the other and go take the math or English test to get a good grade lol. They were so identical looking that even my sister, their mama, had to look for a larger freckle on one of their faces to tell them apart when they weren’t together! Twins are so fascinating. Makes me wonder if you and Katie are mirror twins!

My daddy was a twin & I had kinda hoped I would have twins but it wasn't meant to be. I'm thankful I was able to bring my son into the world by the grace of God, but it would've been wonderful to have had 2 of him! My wife and her sister are not twins, they’re a year apart, but the way you describe your relationship with Katie sounds just like them. They can have whole conversations using only facial exspressions. They are extremely close, and I’m very grateful for that. I’m glad that they have that relationship to lean on each other no matter what it may be. Happy you two have each other and the good relationship that you have. It’s priceless.

My good friend has identical twin daughters. I've known them well their entire lives so unlike others I could always easily tell them apart. The only time I ever had a problem was in pictures, if they were together in the picture it was easy to tell them apart but if they were alone in the picture I would have a hard time knowing who it was! When they were growing up one would always tell the other "put that dress on, I want to see how I look in it"!

OK, I'm WV/Virginia Appalachian near my roots (my paternal grandparents moved, with a bunch of people. They moved, but the culture moved with alla them. I grew up in NJ with apples fried in lard. Nuff said). I'm also Yòrúbá and Cherokee at my roots. "Nigerian/Benin" people were kidnapped en masse into Virginia in the 18th century. The Yòrúbá have the highest incidence of twins in the WORLD.
I got 3 sets of twins in my family (I think?), and there's a family twin scandal that I will not write publicly, but I think is HILARIOUS. Feel free to reach out!

My husband is a twin as well. I feel the same way your husband does about being confused as to why they can’t tell yall apart?. My husband and his twin are not identical so it’s very apparent to me. They are just opposite like you two. My husband is the layed back one, his brother is more high strung, fly by the seat of his pants and more outgoing. My husband said in school it was nice having him in new situations where he would be more shy so he could rely on him to be the first to talk to people. They are still close and it’s interesting to watch how they continue to change and favor as they age.

It's funny to hear some of the things you are saying about having a twin because there's only 12 mo & 17 days between my sister & I. We were very close & I was more out going & out spoken like Katie & my sister was more reserved like Cory. Even though I was younger I always stood up for my sister & protected her. We shared a room growing up & slept in the same bed until we were married & gone. I ALWAYS wanted to be a twin & would do my best to get my sister to let's dress alike because when we were little mom made our dresses & the only difference would be the color. But she wouldn't ever go for it. Austin is a super guy & now a loving husband as well....I'm watching this after y'all are married!! Sweet couple! ❤

I am an identical twin and I can totally relate to all you are saying! We are 53 and the youngest of six children, so we have sisters and a brother but we are the twins! She live 2 1/2 hours away but talk several times a day ( or just babble about nothing, but know we are together). I have 2 grown sons and they have 2 mothers - she is Other Mother! My twin was in a serious car wreck when we were 16 and she was very close to death for a while, I still cry thinking about it! Only the Lord can give us the grace and strength to go on without each other! She is my other half!

As a twin myself, we used to hate getting the same question asked all the time..."What is it like being a twin?' We came up with the reply, "What's it like not being a twin?" Actually, there are times where you just want to be a regular person but when you are together, you always get noticed. As you get older it can be more fun. Me and my twin brother will get asked if we are twins and whichever one of us gets to answer first might say, oh, no we are not twins HE (my brother) is my Dad.

Hey you guys! Austin, nice to see you in another video. I have 8 sets of twins as friends. 4, I can say are good friends. 1 set, I hope that's not offensive, are like family and live in Traphill. 2 sets are my wife's family. I used to work with 2 sets of twins. There is, without a doubt, a special bond with twins and I think that's one of the things that make yall good friends, individually. As entertainers, yall have talent that I saw kinda hit a slump for a while. I'm so happy to see young people playing and performing Bluegrass and Appalachian Music. Yall do a great job with it all.

My mother is a twin. My cousins look more like siblings. Growing up I could tell them apart easy and identify whos voice was whos from across the house. Except over the phone, thats the only time my sister and I got them mixed up. Now other people would flip flop them all the time in looks and voice. Sometimes I liked it, other times I hated "having 2 moms" being critzized or yelled at when you actin up by twins will scare you stright quick 😂🙈.
