- 'Mirror's Edge Community Segmented' completed in 22:40.060 IGT and 25:22.267 RTA. This has been a project of the Mirror's Edge community for the last two years; it was a monumental task which took an enormous amount of time, coordination and, most importantly, patience.

In total, 11 players contributed segments to the run. However, the scope of people involved goes far beyond those 11 people - it is an effort which is as equally accredited to the strat hunters as it is to the people who recorded the final segments. This run combines 9 years' worth of strat evolution, and while the possibilities in Mirror's Edge are almost endless, this is as close as we have ever (and potentially, will ever) come to presenting a run which truly bleeds the game dry.

Disclaimer: There were no mods, hacks or external aids used in the recording of any segments in this run. Everything that you see in this run is done by exploiting in-game mechanics and can be performed by anyone with a copy of Mirror's Edge (PC).

I don't get it. When you get in a elevator how are you able to Jump Around also that brings more questions how are the elevators moving if the animation didn't play was there some kind of speedrunning glitch to skip the animation? If I keep on pulling up questions and and getting no answers but questions I'm going to have a very bad headache.
@@nope_not_today6077 Some lifts have a brief period where you can still move freely before it prevents actions like jumping, such as the second lift in chapter 1, however most of the time the slide glitch is utilised; performing an animation whilst spamming use to activate a button without the animation. Thusly, by jumping and pressing the 180 spin button whilst moving into an elevator, the button can be activated during the resulting backwards fall animation. If this is performed in the right spot of the lift with the correct timing, it will push you out on to the top of it.

I know what you're all thinking; "what madman grinded the 1 minute train segment over and over to get the perfect dismount" , that man is me.
Riding that train over and over changes a man, I started attempts as a young boi and no man has ever had to grow up so fast.
When I close my eyes I see nothing but high speed obstacles flying past me, I struggle to sleep at night and I know I'll never be the same, but I hope it was worth it, just know the commitment that went into this run. like comment and subscribe

The jacknife KG chain skip is absolutely mental.
Consider the fact that so many strats go from segmented only to "can be done unsegmented"
This means that this whole run might be done unsegmented at some point in time.

The Best segmented Speedrun I have ever seen in my entire life. I don't know if anything could ever top this.
You know what? This is absolutely one of the greatest segmented runs I've ever seen. Congrats to all you runners on pushing through and making this a reality. I audibly gasped several times through this. You guys are nuts, and the routes and chains used are simply absurd.
Well done! This is a run I'll definitely be coming back to watch again. It's so satisfying.

I posted a meme comment, but I decided that I wanted to be actually genuine for once. Amazing job everyone. It was cool to see how much hard work everyone put into this run, and the dedication it took to complete. If only people knew the weeks that were spent grinding certain chains, haha. Hopefully one day we'll be posting a sub 20 run. With the hard work and dedication I've seen from the Medge community I think anything is possible.

Wow, what a great job by everyone, all the hard work payed off. Oh, you thought this was going to be some sort of joke comment. Maybe some “satire” with ironic jokes and references littered throughout. Maybe I would just copy some comment from a video complaining about hacks, but no. I’m making a serious comment about the community, the amazing people, and the great times. I’ve been speedrunning Mirror’s Edge since 2012 and it’s been great. So, I would just like to thank everyone and say… WHY THE FUCK am I number 2 in the rest of the community section of the credits!?

lol holy shit you're right... probably is possible if you strang after the coil into the vault. Only reason we didn't use other springboard chain was because no-one could get it without reaction time, imagine trying to get this new chain haha

I understand some of these strats were very hard to do but I dont wanna hear "I cant pull off that strat in my runs". You people are some remarkable runners and the reason I wanted to speedrun this game. Ive attempted half of these strats for console and managed to do like 3. Hard work pays off. I hope to see a Catalyst segmented soon.
