Duke (Johnny Depp from Edward Scissorhands, Arizona Dream and Pirates of the Caribbean) finds Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro from Traffic), high on LSD, is in the bathtub clothed, attempting to pull the tape player in with him as he wants to hear the song better. He pleads with Duke to throw the machine into the water when the song "White Rabbit" peaks. Duke agrees, but instead throws a grapefruit at Gonzo's head before running outside and locking Gonzo in the bathroom. He tries to rest on the couch but Gonzo gets out, still completely high.

What’s the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas movie about?
In 1971, the journalist Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp from Edward Scissorhands, Arizona Dream and Pirates of the Caribbean), accompanied by his lawyer, Mr. Gonzo (Benicio del Toro from Traffic), was on his way to Las Vegas because he was assigned to cover a major sporting event, the 400 miles of Las Vegas. But this report is only a pretext because Duke and Gonzo took a whole range of drugs with them. When they arrive at the hotel, Duke is in the middle of an acid surge and his hallucinations draw attention to him. One morning, Duke discovers that Gonzo has flown to Los Angeles. Faced with the damage and the astronomical bill, Duke flees by car. Duke calls Gonzo and Gonzo informs him that he has booked a suite for them at the Flamingo Hotel to cover a police narcotics convention. Duke and Gonzo then go to the convention but can't make it and return to their suite. Gonzo gets Duke to try adrenochrome, then they engage in a frenzy of various drugs, with Duke remembering only scattered memories. Duke takes Gonzo to the airport and returns to the hotel to finish his article. He then returns to Los Angeles.

This movie is just about those two tripping, each one at a time and have the other one look out for him while being slightly less drugged.

It's about a hell of a lot more, the movie is anything but superficial
I've been there a few times. This is the funniest, but most frightening movie I have ever seen.
Fun Fact: When Benicio threw the chair, he said it was really heavy, and he wasn't expecting it to fly the way it did. When it almost hits Johnny, that was a real reaction to move out of the way. For a split second, you can even see the fear in Benicio's face when the chair leaves his hand. But thankfully, it bounced off those rails and hit the table instead. So both men stay in character, and carry on. Phenomenal actors, the pair of them. 👏👏👏

The other best part of this movie is in the other hotel room, when gonzo gets out his knife and has a standoff with the mirror. "Put your HANDS where i can see them""

They packed up and destroyed another one. Some may call this movie an exaggeration, but I really think Hunter and his attorney actually did most of this nonsense.

Different strokes for different folks man I've done acid plenty of times but there was this one time where I had a bad trip and I completely freaked tf out and had to be soothed by the a/c with my eyes closed for 6 hrs straight bro. Like I literally laid there completely awake with my eye closed somewhere in my mind at iceland being an ice king made out ice who could fly at any given time. It was quite fun at some point which is what calmed me down.

The guy that goes I CANT BREATH THERES DEMONS ON BOARD and opens up the airplane door and jumps. You can have many many behaviors just through perception alone and mixing that with acid can make you lose your mind also to add in they are on other drugs and mixtures. You can't really limit your experiences and I can't measure mine in order to accurately say who's right or wrong. I just think in general different strokes for different folks.
