Interesting so when you skiing backwards you drive the outer leg forward. Kind of the opposite of what we do when we go forwards we drive inner leg forwards whilst keeping the outer leg back. When I tried to backwards ski I tried to mirror all the thing what I do when front skiing - driving inner leg "forward" (down the mountain) - and just couldn't get any progress. Will try to do this next season. I always assumed that the technique is determined more so by skis and mountain. But I see that all the positions on skis firstly are determined by composition of our bodies and just because we go backwards the composition doesn't change thus we need to keep doing more/less same thing with our body - in essence - standing comfortably and reliably.
Cool skiing from 1:12 👍 I won't be able to stay in such a pose even without skies. 😂 All other skiing and tricks are cool as well, of course. 👍
What did I just witness there...
My knees hurt just from looking at that. When I see this kind of tricks I always wonder whyy??
