  • The route leads from the Klein Matterhorn in Zermatt (Switzerland) over the Theodul Pass to Cervinia in Italy. Cross the national border with your skis and look at the other side of the famous Matterhorn.
Enjoy the long descent from 3800m to 2000m. It feels endless and the panorama is breathtaking.
On the Klein Matterhorn you can ski also in summer.
In the video you can also see the planned cable car which will lead from Testa Grigia / Plateau Rosa to the Klein Matterhorn.
A visit to Zermatt or Cervinia is highly recommended.

Absolutely nice ☀️ skiing day in hight altitude.
Long easy slopes , fit well for carving.
Your model can carve much better than ski in general , on narrow or bumpy terrain. He could learn that quite easily with the ski instructor.
    Thnx 4 sharing.

That Theodulpass section back into the Plan maison lift is my favourite of Cervinia, could ski that section all day, wide, really flowy, get some nice speed up, but can also cruise it too, had a great time there in early 2023, never got over to the Zermatt side because of the wind, so thanks for sharing the video, and great technical skiing btw, very classy 👍

I went summer skiing on the glacier here 30 years ago. All the unused t-bars you see are for summer skiing. It's pretty amazing. I wore special sunglasses with shades on the side because the sun is so intense. Altitude + snow + sun = fried eyes. As the season went on, crevasses opened up and you had to be very careful. Highly recommended.

Crossing over to cervina is pretty risky as if the winds pick up too much without warning, the top lifts shut and you’re stuck in cervina. Though whenever they build the two planned 3S gondolas in cervina, that will make things easier and provide more certainty as they tolerate much higher winds than gondolas and cable cars
