Sadly that's a common problem with big labs, and there's nothing you can really do about it. They basically can't move and are in constant pain. Trust me, we've had him since he was a puppy, and if there was any other option we would have done it. Keeping him alive would've been cruel. For the last week my dad was literally carrying him outside to use the bathroom. He didn't seem to be in too much pain until the last day though. On his last day he just lied there and yelped all day long. When I woke up the next morning my dad had already taken him to the vet. My dad took him at 3am while everyone was asleep. He couldn't bear to have him suffer any more.

My two dogs had snuggling my mom down to a science. Granted, they were conveniently sized; she would lie down on the couch for her afternoon nap, and then they split the remaining space. My older dog snoozing down behind mom’s knees, and the younger one up next to her shoulder. It was so stinking cute!
Pets generally don't live that long. Every moment spent with them is borrowed time. Can we all just love and appreciate them while they are still with us?
That kitten with the porcelain cat is so funny. I am laughing so hard that I have tears. I may just randomly try doing that on the street one day. The only downside to that is, the men with the white jackets may take me away. And with my luck I would end up dealing with the head nurse from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Nurse Ratched.
The trick is to just get up right after twitching around on the ground, look accusingly at a random stranger and scream "WHY DID YOU MAKE ME DO THAT?" before storming off in tears. Everyone around will think the random stranger is a bona fide douche bag.
