What’s up. Thanks man. I thought I would change it up and do a little tour of the island. The delta is either Outdoorsman’s paradise or a “stay home” people worst nightmare 😂
Bethel has some amazing horse ranches, too.
There’s couple horse properties with smaller arenas.. 👍🏻
@ I live in Brentwood. I was out in Bethel about 20 years ago. Maybe it’s changed more than I thought.
@ it’s like everywhere around here.. they’re building new houses and trying to make this area better. Brentwood is a nice spot
@ I’ve been here since ’89. Loved it more when it was country, but am very happy to be in such a nice “little” city.
Good info, funny too
Really? Kids don't have a choice in who their parents are, rich or poor. That doesn't make a rich or poor kid any more or less of a decent child than one another.
Yup
Looks like the hyacinth aren’t too bad there, most of delta is overwhelmed by them.
Around the houses they spray a lot.
I remember when they only had docks with no homes yet, crazy how it looks in a few years 6:23
Still a huge chunk of empty land out there.. the state just sprays the grass too much during summer. This area is super clean now and not worth fishing
I was just out at the sugar barge last Friday, the recent winds stirred up delta pretty good
@ yeah dude . The water is all turned up and muddy
Im trying to figure out these local lakes also, if you don't want to do it solo, let me know🍻
@ let’s do it. I’m probably heading out to new Melones this weekend or Berryessa..
Freshwater is for drinking saltwater is for fishing
@@Mendoluv I’ll be waiting at the delta with a straw if you’d like to give it a taste 😂
I love that u said u would rather hang out with the kids from the trailerpark then the 1m dollar homes
I grew up there love that place and I don’t do meth the people are nice and it’s fun I still have a house boat there
@@TommyT408 the “meth” thing is over played. Mostly hear it from people that have never been here. Old news
@ yea that place is my favorite place to be love everything about it and for the most part everyone looks out for each other especially down on the docks
A small drinking community with a fishing problem..
@@joecalio6489 that’s a T-Shirt 😂
@CramersPage that's a sign at the rusty porthole.. 😆
@ aww yeah it is huh haha. Damn I gave you credit for a minute 😂
@CramersPage I love that place! No credit is needed..
06:43 🤣
That was a pretty fun video, Casey. Enjoyed seeing the island. I have heard the nickname, but, honestly, I think it's way better than that. Years ago my wife's aunt had a place there and it had the nickname then. From what I recall, things have cleaned up since then. Delta coves helps for sure. But then you moved in..... ;) Thanks for the tour of the island and the trailer. What do you use for your internet provider from the trailer? Did you get you some Starlink?
Hey what’s up.. if I say “Bethel island” to someone there’s a good chance you’re going to hear methel Island. Haha until I moved and ruined this place again.
Yup, I have starlink mounted on the roof of the trailer.
The south end of northern California is willows, maybe Woodland.
@@johnwoolbert7547 thanks man. 👍🏻
@@johnwoolbert7547 huh ? Bro u think your coordinates are a little off
😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I'm from California delta myself and I absolutely love your video bro the place is actually a nice place just lock your s*** up at night and you'll be fine!!
@@darenhayes7506 haha thanks man. For damn sure lock up your stuff up.. you don’t want the “delta night walkers” finding your stuff. 😂🍻
AKA methel island 😅
You can get a house in discovery bay on the water for 750k. Plus you don’t have to deal with the eye sore of being in bethel island lol
Grew up in discovery bay. My grandma was the second or third buyers on her street. Right off clipper.
I’m looking at houses right now. I’ll have to check out what’s for sale in discovery bay. Interest rates are what’s keeping me from doing anything right now.
@@CramersPage yea I feel you on that one. I’m In the same boat right now. Tired of paying 3k for rent when I could be putting that towards a mortgage payment.
@ It’s crazy.. $3,000 is normal out here. I can’t afford $3,000+ everything else in life.. I don’t know how people do it out here. Slaves to a wood box to live in.
@@Hermdawggg925 but you have to deal with 200 lake lice, wake boats and day cruisers that love to get 15 feet from your boat while fishing with their ghetto music blasting and wakes trying to flip you from the boat. It’s retard village over there. Property values in Disco Bay are the same as they were in 2007. I know, I was looking at buying at the time. Then the crash came in 2008. I should have bought then when 6 out of 10 were foreclosures. But I bugged out in 2009 to Oregon.
Camped and at boat at Sugar Barge for years…it was a great place, but they have priced me out. The meth part is exaggerated in my opinion. Orwood is also an interesting place to camp or grab a meal.
@@stevedolan5065 the sugar barge is a cool spot. The meth thing has become a running joke that has tarnished this place. Bethel island is a cool spot and I haven’t had any problems. Let people talk.. 🍻👍🏻
We’ll see how all those prices hold up
The prices will just keep increasing.
@ heard that before
Is there a good safe boat dock to use for the day? I usually drop in up north in Sacramento and drive down your way. I’ll love to do the trip the opposite way. Thanks
@@campfirestories744 the only docks would at the restaurants in the area.
@@ButchIsFalse haha 😂
@ correct. I was thinking he wanted to leave his boat here for the day. There’s plenty of ramps out here to use.
@@campfirestories744 google tower park marina. Great place to put in between Sacramento and the East bay. We used to launch there to go to the lost isle
Go to lake on Mormon immigrant trail let me know I’ll pull up sheeesh

Why the hate on anyone with a little money. God forbid people have hobbies
I didn’t explain that well.. more leaning on People that visit Bethel Island and then tell their friends it’s “methel island” but secretly come out here for fun. I dont care if you have a million toy or have 7 bass boats. Good for you, have fun. 🍻👍🏻
In a town with 2,000 people and 270 bars😂

The cheater that holds the record for the largest black bass lives out there. That's right i said cheater, the guy feeds the fish outside his house. He feeds the fish catfood daily, he would toss a lure and catch the same fish over and over till it beat the old record set by the guy that now owns King Island Marina. I live on the water in downtown Stockton cheapest rent in California is on the water in a Marina
Dang. Thats a lame way to catch a bass
Funny how people talk bad on Bethel Island. I’m like, have y’all seen the East Bay lately? Lol
@@DeathThrashDash haha no kidding. Theres a lot of areas falling apart in NorCal
Bros, tweekers, dollar store gangstas, and the most overinflated housing imaginable. Cali had great bass fishing all over. Why anybody would want to live on the delta boggles my mind.
It’s crazy out here man.. I don’t know how people afford it.
@@mrjuse5470 you have to sleep on the delta to understand it. Being able to get out of bed, walk out the back door out the dock and into the boat and go fish is pretty epic, and the noise in Bethel Island is the sound of boats, not freeways and gang shootings like Concord, San Jose, Livermore, San Rafael, Sacramento, Roseville, Santa Rosa or any other preferred zip code.
Do you know bill syler in that camp ground he is there right now, he has a blue and white center console Vexus and he’s a huge stripper fly fisherman
I think he parks his boat next to his trailer.
@ ya I was just wondering if you knew him, he’s a fishing buddy, you should talk with that guy he’s crazy knowledgeable
My boy lives right next to that bridge. But dam are telling the honest truth so many tweakers love the Mexican restaurant an bass store down the road from the bridge
