AE phase is by far the strongest for the average player. Good players will probably find kunze panzer rewarding, great players will find the cobra over powered due to the clip potential alone. Good positioning is GREATLY rewarded in the cobra.
I'm a new player and a latecomer to the Season XII, but I managed to scrounge up enough tokens for Char F. My only other premium experience was 50TP (R) and for the love of God I can't play heavies properly, so switching to Char was a pleasure. Not that I'm a particularly good pilot for it, but it brings a lot of joy even at my mediocre level of play.
I just got the k91. It’s an odd td/medium hybrid. It’s decent but is more of a support vehicle that relies on having a competent team. AE and char are solid. Great video max❤

The K91 you can play a bit like the object 268v4, it has great speed and rams well, but you will not hit much from distance. The new german td has siege mode, but appears to still be really accurate without using it. The chinese heavy sadly seems to be like all chinese heavies, slow, slow to aim, slow to load
A few things to note about the KPz 3: - if you don't angle your "upper plate"/roof well, if will become a free for all, especially if the enemy shoots HEAT at you - if you go into "siege mode", your accuracy is very good, but your DPM tanks A LOT
Just did the blocking mission for the t55a in the obj 777 II (who comes up with these names) by over angling the shit out of the side armor. Love it, I have the phase, char and the 777 and at first I hated the 777 but it has grown on me. I find it more friendly when I am having my donkey moments compared to the phase
For me, after getting Char and Phase 1 in Season 9, I just buy bonds since I also have all the BP crew members and and all the x5 XP boosts I will ever need, and I don't really have chances to "win" many bonds just playing Randoms and daily missions aren't enough. I do enjoy the Phase and Char, so different in game play from each other. I am saving up Bonds for the next assembly shop if there ever is another one.
Hi max the cobra is good but the reload is very bad once you fire if they know your tank they rush you and you are dead also trying to kill at long range is hard with this gun so good luck , ps I have enough tokens to get the new German tank but holding off for now 🤪
I’d say Char and AE and the two must haves for first time battlepass rewards, AE being the strongest out of all 4 reward heavies because of it’s mix of hulldown capability, good DPM, penetration and gun stats. The Obj 777 has good penetration but can’t hull down, Lorraine 50T’s mobile but reloads really slow and doesn’t have much penetration it’s a medium tank hull and a heavy tank gun and turret and yet it manages to be terrible at both, BZ-58-2 has good alpha, doesn’t have much pen, meh gunstats, okay-ish armor sometimes works sometimes doesn’t, issue is you have a tier 7 hull with large LP on a tier 9 tank with a gun that requires you to be upclose against your enemy, it’s like a tryhard 50TP Char is better of the three because it plays reallt close to it’s tech tree equivalent albeit just a bit of some downsides on mobility and intra clip reload in exchange for better gun stats and some armor. The other two mediums feels more of a gimmick, Cobra being fun but needs to be firing Hesh which drains creds, and kunze is just terrible. K-91-PT can be played like a mini obj 268/4 provided you hide your hull, but it’s has a flat armor on both sides of the casemate, on the left being the machine gun and the right being the the cupola profile. But surprisingly it has really high camo value, reaching 43% Kpz03 not much opinion about it for now but I hear that it’s very challenging to play, and requires high skill which don’t usually appeal to pub players, I know it can be played aggressively by swinging the tank forward to temporarily increase gun depression, but so far i’ve only seen players play it like a tall Udes 03, sniping at the back, sometimes helping, most times don’t.
These being essentially "free" tanks, they don't make loads of credits, or bonds, but can be fun tanks to play, being slightly different to what you may already have. If you don't want any of them, just get the extra bounty equipment piece, and convert the rest of the tokens to bonds and look at the bond tanks
AE phase 1 and char futar 4 and maybe cobra. That’s it. Just get bonds with the rest of your tokens. Others are complete crap and have horrible stats and the heavies are crap. The AE phase 1 is amazing turret but mostly fun depersion

The new tier 9 german TD is hot garbage. It has two modes, first one has the top speed of 65 and the "amazing dpm". The thing that it does show is that gun is DERPY ass hell and you get -2 or -3 degs of gun depression which is horrible. Then if you want to hit something you need to enter the other mode. Your "amazing dpm" is now OK at best, you gun is more accurate BUT you gun handling is still BAD. The only thing that shit tank has is GREAT ammos, amazing APCR, HEAT and very good HESH rounds. Bonus meme is that EVERY SINGLE HEAT ROUND that tier 7-10 have is going to penetrate you, no change is bouncing. So armor is worthless. Save your tokens and get the Cobra its very good. Opinion comes from what you would call a "unicum" Last 1000 games, 3500wn8
just can not agree on M103 weaker than AE. M103with way higher DPM, better gun handling and buffed turret roof nowdays, have a lot more potenical campare to AE, aka sort of standard hulldown tank. also, M103 have better hull armor campare to AE
Max, don´t get the KPz 3 it´s really an soft tank and burn alot. Sure the reload is great, but it has -2/2 gun arc if you don´t go in siegemode. Its also really hard to play it as a Med, since it turns so slow. Sure if you stay 250/300/Met away it works okay:ish as a Med. When you in siegemode your reload is 9/sec and lower aimtime. It also has poor camo value and view range (350). This tank is a bigger gimmick than the kunze panzer.
You should try the Kunze again. It has devastating dpm in normal Mode and best dispersion in siege mode. Very good camo rating, fat and 15° gun depression. Use then second setup as scout for open maps.
i think, that the new kpz 3 07 blabla will get very boring very fast for most players. not that it is bad tanks, but because of the same type wonky siege mode as the kunzer has.
Feel the need to speak up for the K91PT. My win rate in it is in the high 60s, i play it the same as the 268/4 which i love, its pretty similar and great for training the crew up, I like how predictable the armour is and the DPM does work
Cobra is fun but frustrating. Mistakes are punished heavily. You need to be a good player to make it works in more games than not. He says "if you penn all your shots" and you almost always will not.
I like your take on the TD. Maybe next year for me if I can play enough and not spend the tokens on other items that are useful for my account. Especially the equipment for some of my tanks.
I love the Kuntze tbh.. I can't explain why, there's no rational reason why... Prob not even an irrational reason, but I love it. There I said it. I love the Kuntze panzer. It's got weak armor, a shitty gun outside siege mode, low dpm inside siegemode and I don't rate it's camo that great either.. But I've had some of my most challenging and fun battles in her, she just pushes me to the very limits of my existence - what's not to like???
Depends on the shot distance, map, and where you are whether to use the siege mechanism. At first I didn't like the kunze but it has really grown on me. Very good dpm and standard ammo along with the free repair kit. Good crew trainer and I don't ever lose credits playing it.

But if in the same game you have something else which doesn't have this trade off and one mode is just straight out better, this becomes meh.
Hey Max, is it possible to get these tanks as f2p? I currently have farmed 2 tokens in the last 2 days, and i play 3 games a day, I'm wondering if this is doable as f2p since i don't really spend anything on WoT
It's certainly doable (personal experience). However with your 3 games per day, you might have some trouble. You need ~77 battle pass points per day to complete all the chapters and you cannot get that consistently in 3 games. You will have to increase your game count, reroll missions and/or wait for the next season (assuming there will be one and the tokens will transfer). You probably won't be able to get Cobra (or any of the more expensive tanks) but Phase/Futur could be manageable.
I was saving up to get the Cobra, but after seeing so few of them being played and the few I did see didn't do so well, I changed my mind. Then I saw that new tank, the KPz 3 Projekt and loved it. But, upon finishing this Battle Pass I would be one token short to get it. So, I got the Kunze Panther and the K91 PT instead. Almost immediately after getting them I saw that we had until Dec 20th or so to redeem our tokens. Now I'm wondering if the next Battle Pass season would've started soon enough for me to get the one token I was short of to get the KPz. But, I couldn't find any information about when Battle Pass season 12 starts! Oh well, it's too late now anyway since I already redeemed my tokens.
As a casual player I’ve only ever been able to pick up the Char when I got back into the game last year. Very much the definition of a difficult but rewarding tank to play, especially as an average player when you get it right and become a predator towards the end-game.
As a free-to-play player, you can get 36 tokens if you play through all chapters of each season (4 tokens in each chapter = 12 per season. times that by 3 seasons in 1 year). This is also excluding the extra token you get for the "Collections".
not a friendly tank for everyone but not a bad tank (you're not see them often, but whenever you see them, it's always a good player), the frontal turret is even stronger than AMX M4 54, very accuracy gun and very fast speed... the only downside are DPM and Gold Penetration

Kunze is amazing, it has op gun if you are professional, and insane concealment and small size which makes it very good for scouting and shooting while being sneaky, and huge gun depression with a turret that is smaller than capula for fighting heavies face to face if you are good enough. And it has better reliad time and accuracy than leo pta, with very close dps that is over corrected by rng. If you are noob, leo pta is better for you. The gun is good even without seige mode.

Tanks for tokens. It's simple, when you buy a tank for tokens, you get a "Slightly worse version of the pumped-up device". For example: AE Phase 1 is the same M 103, but with less HP. About. 777 var.2, this is a "thinner version" vol. 705 (How to play "off the board"). Loraine 50 t. This is the "fast version" of AMH M 4 51. With a "cardboard case."
The Phase 1 is better in nearly everyway compared to the M103. The 777 II is not anywhere close in comparison to the 705 so you can't compare those 2. The Lorraine 50t is just bad so you could compare that to a turd 👍

Token tanks are pointless, they are not premiums so they dont earn extra money. Also they are tier9 which is not 10 thus no events or bonds too. Best thing is to buy them and sell instantly , you get like 3million and a garage slot.

Actually the K-91-PT can max out camo at 57 which is very respectable and I find it easier to play then the harder hitting 268 at Tier 10.

The disparity between these token tanks is ridiculous. The Phase 1 is right-out broken but then many of the other ones would be underpowered at tier 8

How do you earn 27 tokens cos i countes the total tokens you can get and it is just around 20 and you have to almost max all of the 3 lines

There are usually 3 battle pass chapters per year. So we would have from September to December or so for the last chapter.

The Phase 1 is better in nearly everyway compared to the M103. The 777 II is not anywhere close in comparison to the 705 so you can't compare those 2. The Lorraine 50t is just bad so you could compare that to a turd 👍

Token tanks are pointless, they are not premiums so they dont earn extra money. Also they are tier9 which is not 10 thus no events or bonds too.
Best thing is to buy them and sell instantly , you get like 3million and a garage slot.
