- The plaintiff purchased what she thought was real hair from the defendant to make a custom wig. Unfortunately, she says she was duped and received synthetic hair instead, so the plaintiff is suing for a refund. The defendant insists the plaintiff didn’t care for the hair properly and that’s on the plaintiff, not her.
There was literally ZERO defense 😂😂

Because they knew that if they did that, the judge would rule in favour of the plaintiff and the show would pay out the award. All they had to do was act dumb and they got away with not having to pay.

ikr. Even if she was the business owner, or new intern. Bring the most knowledgeable employee. Step up to the podium, answer questions based on the business like interactions with dealing with the plaintiff. But ask to defer the specific questions to the employee who knows what they're talking about.
They should NOT be in the hair business! Peruvian ABSOLUTELY means it is FROM Peru... Just like Brazilian and Indian human hair comes from locals from those countries. This is very basic knowledge. They're not just random names of curl patterns... 🤦♀️

Weeeelll, you got the first part right, but Brazilian hair isn't from Brazil. That comes from China or India. That being said, I definitely agree that they shouldn't be running a business that they know very little about. The "curl pattern" would be deep wave. I don't even wear weaves and even I know this 🤷🏾♀️.

I feel like the defendant doesn't know anything about real hair and fake hair. As a hair stylist and being in business it's important for them to know all about the different types and textures of the hair before selling it and they need to come to court with receipts. They look very stupid in court. I wonder if they have to be licensed to sell hair.

I buy synthetic hair because I'm not paying basically a car payment or house rent payment for weave it's ridiculous and a waste of money! Plus, I have a lot of my natural hair already on my head and its thick and in the middle of my back so that's why I use synthetic hair wigs as a protective style. Synthetic hair does get really frizz and messy looking quickly but you have to take care of it, and it can look sometimes better that the real weave in my opinion.
If it’s really good human hair you can use as many times as you want.
Shame on the defendant for not knowing the products. Peruvian hair extensions are made in Peru.

RIGHT judgement!! Most of us have spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars in "Virgin 100% Remy or Indian/Brazilian/Peruvian/Cambodian" etc. hair and got totally screwed with trash hair by those who Refused to pay back refunds or accept back their synthetic fiber human-like stiff hair. This was good to see as a start to better business practices in the hair industries.

I bought 4 bundles for about $600 one time. During my install it was so much sheading and the ends were frizzy. The stylist didn’t wash bundles or really put any product in it. When I got home my friend told me to wash the hair and put some stuff in it and WALA!!! The bundles remained great for 9 months.
She should of washed the hair and treated it and maybe she would of had a different outcome.
She legit said she washed it.. if it’s bad quality no amount of washing will really help

think it’s because us black women like to wear weave that’s not our hair texture. I’m on a journey of self- love and I used to wear the straight weave but I now see it as not appreciating the texture YAH blessed us with. If you get a weave I think we should try to make it look like something we could grow

There’s an easy way to test if it’s synthetic or not. All they have to do is apply heat and observe. If it’s synthetic it will melt. Also if you try to stretch human hair it will just snap but synthetic hair will stretch a little.

The judge makes no sense. One time the contract saying no refunds means everything and the next time it means nothing. One time a professional witness means everything and the next time owning another business that does the same thing are just talking shitttt because they want your business.

If I was the business owner I wouldn’t have sent them to court for me. They would be fired. They could have easily won the case air solved outside of court. Human hair it natural frizzy unless it’s treated with chemicals. Do but that has has to always be treated before it gets to you, it’s dipped.
