The very fact that this YOUNG person had the intelligence and style to CHOOSE this particularly iconic song says so much for Miss Winehouse! She might have been a bit tipsy??? Do not know, but I laud her with unending cheers for being her spectacular musical talent and taste! Love you, Amy! RIP.
Why didnt anyone give her credit for these performances? Of course when Amy breaks in Serbia, the media takes it and runs to trash the woman, who had been off drugs for 2 1/2 years at this point, and saying that she was still on drugs. Thats the world we live in. They only watch to see you fall. RIP, the talented, amazing Amy Winehouse.
Absolutely gorgeous! And the way she holds out Boulevard, at the end...just shoots chills down my spine, I get goosebumps. This was a perfect song for her to sing, I wish she recorded it for the next album was she planning. Such beauty, you can feel the soul and the sorrow in her voice, she truly felt the song...
This wonderful creature is the princess of music. She had everything what we all want to have. And we do not. She just needed love and happiness. Her voice will make me happy for always.Thank You Amy .MISS YOU.
This is one off the most beautiful covers in history of modern music! I really hope she recorded this before she passed away. I love you Amy,and always will. Rest in peace angel.
I cannot see why everyone compares Amy with Adele. Their voices may be a little similar but their influences seem very very different: Amy was very much a jazz and soul singer, Adele seems to come from British folk-rock and pop. For example, I cannot hear any trace of the Beatles in Amy while there's quite a bit of it in Adele. Amy's was an extremely urban sound, Adele's isn't at all. I miss Amy.
This song was made popular not by Constance Bennett (no offense) but by TONY BENNETT and that's how Amy found out about it - and she was a brilliant, brilliant soulful human/artist - I love her singing with Tony on Body & Soul.
@ziggyuno1 apparently canada too; i know of no one that listens to her. it is like she is a best kept secret that only those searching for greatness will find...
@teriwilsonmusic I sort of agree, but I've heard some recordings from later in her all-too-young life where she sounded really, really good. I also think because she was essentially healthy at the time of her death, she could have restored her voice to its former glory had she only lived.
Why do all these folks get on every, and I mean every Winehouse vid and compare or put down Adele, specifically Adele? Stop it!!!! Is it because they are both British or both women or both singers or what? Stay in the moment folks! Not too hard one would think. You are watching a Winehouse vid...concentrate on the singer at hand!
yeah, lol. exactly. the kind of thing i hate is these people thinkin they know everything and then they're like "oh hey what is this?" this is song is awesome i have to admit. even though green day is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE band. but still, you can't compare to the classics like this song. great cover, great person, great singer. :P
R.I.P Amy. . I miss a big voice. Otha great voice is back! The popicon of the 80s and early 90s: JENNIFER RUSH (the orignl singer of THE POWER OF LOVE) . Her latest album NOW IS THE HOUR. . .contains many amazing songs ECHOES LOVE, JUST THIS WAY, BEFORE THE DAWN, STILL, AINT LOVED YOU LONG ENAUGHT. . Google/youtube them. . Enjoy!
@mrwest15 Not the withdrawal, but I'm afraid she died of a complication caused by alcohol & a sleeping or anti-depressive pill taken at the same time. Use of those pills can be deadly when there is already alcohol in the blood. Autopsy results revealed, there was no drug but alcohol was present. The in-house minder probably did not recognize anything when he checked her at 8 a.m of the day she was found later dead. Nobody knows, why he waited for 8 hours to check her again.
@judyflorescu It's called a drug addiction. Yeah, there were no drugs in her system at the time of her death but, lets not kid ourselves. The damage was already done and her heart gave out.
@sashavontease Everything. Even right here. She had built such a reliance on alcohol that when she tried to stop, the withdraw symptoms were just too much to handle. Her body couldn't take it. I hate to this but, she'd probably still be alive if she either had more assistance getting off or just... stayed on drinking. And that's not meant as a cruel joke or anything, it's just, the reason she died was WITHDRAWAL.

Id pay 100 bucks for a clean original version
i think this song would've been included on her "come-back" album if she didn't leave us so early. We will never have another Amy again. :(

Yes, Amy was "channeling" Tony's 1950 recording of the song...
@geoffswoman I was pretty gifted for having the opportunity to record and enjoy that moment.
This is one off the most beautiful covers in history of modern music! I really hope she recorded this before she passed away.
I love you Amy,and always will. Rest in peace angel.
I grew up on Tony Bennett 's famed version. This is awesome by Amy.
Love Amy, I wish she was still around. RIP
Triste que nunca mais verei ao vivo... Noite memorável essa em Floripa.

I miss Amy.

No one can do like she did before 27 years old. She brought it from others encarnations. One life is too short for all that.

I hope she recorded this before she died in a studio. Possibly one of her best songs. R.I.P Amy xxxxxxx

I will always love Amy Winehouse. Still mourning this unbelieveable loss of talent and life. :'(
Amy was a once-in-a-lifetime talent. Adele is good -- but good only.
Love U Amy
Miss you Amy!

Em homenagem aos baladeiros e baladeiras de sempre!!!! (Juares Jardim - Santo André - São Paulo - Brasil)
yeah, lol. exactly. the kind of thing i hate is these people thinkin they know everything and then they're like "oh hey what is this?" this is song is awesome i have to admit. even though green day is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE band. but still, you can't compare to the classics like this song. great cover, great person, great singer. :P
She was doing so well here and then in June she was a wreck in Belgrade...what went wrong in such a short period of time?
she's very Eartha Kitt on this. seems likely there is recordings of this.

@jamesingtonthethird : She died in a studio? --- That video was recorded on 8 January 2011 at the Summer Soul Festival in Brazil.
It's not a Tony Bennett cover, it's a Constance Bennet cover. She sang it in "Moulin Rouge" from 1934.
Idon't give 2 shits that she had a drug addiction. Anyone who knows Jazz will tell you Amy had an amazing voice that melted Jazz songs.
@jamesingtonthethird This isn't her song. It's a song she is covering.
diva
@MTSpeedRacerVT bUT IS a Constance Bennet cover
@megotaki Obrigada!!!
The music is from Moulin Rouge and this song is from Tony Bennett, 1950 or something
Sorry, I don't know how I posted that three times in a row...that was a mistake. lol
Esto suena a tango! O NO?????????
@jamesingtonthethird
actually i believe this is tony bennett's song
Lol I was looking for Green Day
@zososam
You speak such true words.
@annygrasi yes you were!
thumbs up if you thought amy covers green day's song
@geoffswoman Then you were damned lucky. I hoped she would come to Holland this year ...
@ziggyuno1 she was to good for all of us:(
that angry kid "I LOVE YOU" hahahahaha but seriously love winehizzzy
@ilovewiki : She may have done, since her manager claims he has enough masters for two or three more albums.
@musicdiehard hey, it's Brasil!
@ddmsouto That is all simply your opinion. And you're welcome to it.
@judyflorescu It's called a drug addiction. Yeah, there were no drugs in her system at the time of her death but, lets not kid ourselves. The damage was already done and her heart gave out.
Damn Amy why didn't you get off the trainwreck track??? Perhaps it couldn't be otherwise. Love you Amy!
this song was not originally green day....
1:23-1:30..To her father with my respects..he was constantly saying she was out of hard drugs for last 3 years. I guess he considers cocaine as soft.
@joethebar1 What a wonderful thing to say. :)
tenho certeza q ela ficou assustada com o povo do brasil- principalmente daqui do rio...noizes é loko lol
The world lost a great talent.
Whose cover it is?
anyone else notice at 1:24 she took a bump? and daddy said that she was "Clean" wtf ? i love amy, but, damn, girl.
@jamesingtonthethird to be on the tony bennett's new album of duets
@sashavontease Everything. Even right here. She had built such a reliance on alcohol that when she tried to stop, the withdraw symptoms were just too much to handle. Her body couldn't take it. @MrCommunist37 alcohol withdrawal, she was trying to stay sober
aún podia hacerlo bien... ¬¬ caray!!!
@sashavontease exactly!!! wtf??? i'm shocked! she looks fit, her voice is impeckable, what is this??? ah fuck......
Oh gosh... these kids and their "green day"...
@jamesingtonthethird OMG I've been hoping the same thing....
@sashavontease Drugs. Not the overdosage, but the absence of them.
