    Of all the videos of yours that I've seen Tiny Pine (and I will I admit I have not seen them all) this is hands down the best one by a country mile. The light, the greenery, the countryside, the wide shots, the zoom ins and close ups, the little country tea room, the musical interludes, the blue sky, your commentary, the way your mood seemed brighter. All of it is utterly wonderful and hugely inspirational..
    If you manage to film some videos in 2024 then please make more like this one. Love it.

    I am watching these as i am doing the coast to coast myself soon. These are the most informative videos that i have seen. Loads of useful information and tips. I admire you for being a solo female backpacker, as i am one myself. It's a great sense of achievement to walk a national trail carrying all your own camping gear - proper backpacking rather than slack packing (baggage transfer). Well done on your achievement. Love that you are honest about your feelings and emotions. We all have a little wobble from time to time ❤

    After all the years they finallly found a cross country route from the A1 at Brompton on Swale to Ingoldby Cross. That whole section used to be a road only route. Yes we had the country side to Look At, but you was still walking along a country road. It was a simple case of head down and plod on, one step after another til you reached Ingoldby Cross. OK it was only one days hiking but at least it was a quiet country road, except at harvesting time when most of us were walking. I still remember the views ahead. Its bring back some Happy Memories for me. Thank You. Tony in Essex

    What an awesome watch that was. Some great scenery, love the time lapse walking, and to end with an amazing sunset in the lordstones location. Just perfect.

    You will be happy at the end of the day ..... most of the uphill section today is in the shade while you pass through the woods. Then its a constant up and down until you reach the Pub at the other side of Rosebury Topping. The Sea is not visible for a day or so yet and when you do see it there are still a few more miles to hike until you start your decent into RHB. The Hike OUT OF RHB is more than most can take. So either plan on a night in RHB or get a friend to pick you up. BUT you still have one more surprise to come before you reach RHB. Tony in Essex

    This has now become my favourite episode.I think my previous favourite was maybe eight ornine, possibly 10? I can’t remember exactly. But yes, this one was sublime. The amount of greenery was so relaxing. The amount of birds, singing and twittering was wonderful.And yet again the music accompanying is absolutely perfect.What really stood out to be more than anything on this video is just how much you seem to be enjoying it, it was quite tangible and the cherry on the cake was the sunset at Lord Stones stone circle. And I’m so glad you got the reduced rate for the camping. And a Bolton lass. I had an idea that it was maybe Bolton, Preston, as it sounded so familiar to me as I’m in Rochdale.
    And it does look like an absolutely stunning campsite. I am now 100% fully chilled. Thank you so much for what you do and for sharing it.

    • @Orenjen
      @Orenjen  9 місяців тому +1

      Aw thank you I’m so pleased you think so! And same, I think this one is tied favourite with days 3, 4, 7, 8 & 9 for me! (I have quite a few favourites 😂) but yeah this one definitely stands out I think as the colours & landscape are just something else. I feel so lucky to have seen it like this!
      The sunset was so special, with the moon and the setting, what a perfect evening honestly. I try my best not to take things like this for granted, as I’ve been on the other side of camping where so many things have gone wrong, so when things are as good as that night was, I make sure I don’t lose sight of it & constantly remind myself to be grateful.
      Oh nice I’m glad you picked something up in my accent! I do hear the Boltonian in it but there’s definitely something else there that I’m not sure of, I think it was a mix of growing up with friends with different accents & watching American TV as a kid 😂
      Thank you as always for the lovely words!

    On a clear day, you can see the sea as far back as Scarth Wood Moor. We were lucky and one of our group had a brilliant zoom which allowed us to take pictures of the tramp ships sailing the North Sea.
    Another brill video.

    It's absolutely stunning scenery around that area, Jennifer. And as always, an excellent vlog 👌 I must try and do the Coast to Coast myself. I have the Gritstone Trail planned for 21st & 22nd May this year, which I am really excited about. Also, the limestone way over no specific date, which will be 3 days. Sat awaiting your next installment 😉👌👌

      Best of luck with your hikes and I’m glad you liked the video!☺️

  • @Daytona2
    @Daytona2 9 місяців тому +1

    Stunning! 🙌
    Were they leverets ?
    Cracked clay paths is a good sign of dry weather 😊
    I think the big brown cows were Jerseys
    You're even making electricity pylon wires against a blue sky artistic! 😁
    Bumping into the same people sounds nice, I wonder if there's CtC discussion forum where you can keep in touch with people ?
    They need to put these honesty shops in the shade - having a fridge in direct sunlight must use loads of electricity
    Yeah the latest Eurofighter Typhoon fighter planes have really variable sound - noisy when they're going away from you, and quiet when flying towards you. And you often can't see them.
    Perhaps the other girls tent was a Lanshan - brown lightweight ?
    £26.50 was a rip off, glad that they reduced it to £14
    The sunset at Lordstones was just perfect.
    That was special, thanks for sharing, Jennifer 🙏😊

    • @Orenjen
      @Orenjen  9 місяців тому +1

      Yes I think they were, probably older ones or young adult hares. Was so special to see them.
      Haha thank you, I do quite like the pylon wire shot! And probably, although some of them have reached out to me via this channel as they’ve found my videos! It’s nice for them to relive the trail this way I imagine. I’d love to connect with all the others as well!
      I’m often used to the jets that fly over the lakes as they’re of course loud but that one was something else, it was absolutely booooming 😂 must just be a different jet like you one you mentioned.
      And it could’ve been the Lanshan though I don’t remember, however she camped next to me the following night at the Lion Inn at Blakey so you might get a glimpse in that video, I haven’t seen the footage just yet I’ll be going though it tomorrow ☺️
      And I’m super glad to have camped at Lordstones, it was such a treat. And the new rate was such a godsend 😂
      Happy you liked it!☺️

    Enjoying watching your films, was lovely meeting you on the trail last year. Danby Wiske was my favourite evening and camps of my c2c, and your camp spot in the field at Lordstones looked nicer then the woodland marked pitch I had. Maybe you got the discount as you booked same day, I’d booked over month earlier, so full rate. I met up with Gonnie & Bert again in Glaisdale and the American couple on the walk to Blakey Ridge….I forgot to ask their names too. Keep doing what your doing, so relaxing to watch your channel. Marie. Xx

    • @Orenjen
      @Orenjen  9 місяців тому

      Hi Marie so glad you found the channel! It was such a lovely evening to meet you and the others, and you’re lucky to have seen them again as I didn’t see anyone else I knew after I saw you at Ingleby!
      And yeah, did they not say anything to you about the new backpacker rate at Lordstones? I can’t imagine they would as they’d lose a bit of money from it as you’d pre booked, I wish I had a way to let you know somehow, the woman on the phone said it was a new rate so I wonder if maybe your call asking if they do prompted it possibly? I can imagine they would’ve had other people asking too as £26.50 is a bit much for a regular non electric pitch.

    There is NO MOTORWAY along the route except the M6 near Shap. I think you mean the A1M which is upto Motorway standard but is stil an A Road, but you walked under that to get to Brompton on Swale, I think you must mean the A19? Tony in Essex.

    The climb is not that steep BUT the squeezes between some of the tall rocks can be, I ended up taking my 60 Litre Rucksac off and carrying it on my head through some of the taller narrower sections. Tony in Essex

    I camped at lordstones and also thought I was in the wrong place outside the boundary fence. A couple who were doing the c2c arrived later than me and pitched in the ground by the pods. Also the stones aren't ancient. I was taking photos of them and an old lady walking a dog informed me someone planted them purposely to appear like they were some ancient stones

    Unfortunately since Covid, a lot of campsites have put their prices up I have found. Many in the lake district are between £20-25 a night with no backpacker rates and not much in the way of facilities 😕 and that's not in the summer season

    • @Orenjen
      @Orenjen  9 місяців тому

      Yeah I’ve noticed that too, some places are a bit extortionate, probably best to opt for wild camping in some cases. Personally I’m trying to get myself back into wild camping, as for the past 4 years since I’ve started I’ve had no issue with it until around a year ago my anxiety flared and I’ve only been twice since last Feb.
