      Sounds good and thanks. Betty's and nicks on eBay is a good source. Try doing a search for a specific part number or for Shimano reel parts... their user ID is boat0501. Hope that helps.

    Awesome, very helpful vid! Thanks for posting... I used this vid to service my 8000D. Does shimano sell the Baitrunner Shaft as a spare? My one where the clutch clips onto the pin on the shaft, the pin sheared off, so the plate just dangles loosely on the gear...

    • @TSGReelService
      @TSGReelService  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching! Good to hear, but you'll still need to periodically service/get them serviced to help prevent potentially costly repairs down the road. That being said, many reels can last many years with good after-use cleaning habits and minimally invasive general servicing. More vids to come.

    On my 8000D, where the knob meets the handle is bound up and does not rotate very freely. I tried removing the plastic “Shimano” cover on the end of the knob, assuming I could access a bolt to remove the handle, only to realize that whole assembly seems riveted together. Any suggestions on how to get the knob turning freely again?

    • @TSGReelService
      @TSGReelService  Рік тому

      Thanks for checking out the video! Yes, I believe that handle is a one piece without screws. You can try oiling the top and bottom of the knob shaft and just working the oil down by rotating the knob SEVERAL times. Hopefully, that does the trick.

    Hi bro ... i have a surfblaster 2 everything is ok but when i tighten the bail screws it won’t they keep spinning...any idea ?

    • @TSGReelService
      @TSGReelService  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching. If you're talking about the screws at the pivot points, there's possible built up corrosion in and around the holes. See the part of this video where I work on the bail assembly. Hope that helps.

    • @Silentkiler19
      @Silentkiler19 3 роки тому

      @@TSGReelService i don’t mean the corrosion ...sorry
      I meant that the bail holder where you put those screws left and right can’t be tightened they keep spinning cause the holes are made of plastic i think ...what do you think about bigger size screws?? it will be ok ?

    • @TSGReelService
      @TSGReelService  3 роки тому

      @@Silentkiler19 I'm referring to those screws on the left and right of the bail wire. If it's not corrosion then try adding a shim or a little washer between the bail wire arm pivot points and the head of the screw on each side. If the screws that are in there came with the reel, I wouldn't recommend trying a different size. Hope that helps.
