This is from the album "Then & Now" (1990). I own this record! This song, along with "Days like these" are both my new favorite songs! How can you not go wrong with ASIA! These guys rock!
I own this on CD. It's from 1990's "Then and Now", which was five hits and four new songs - the hit Days Like These, this song as the follow-up single, plus Am I In Love? and Karianne. One unreleased track, Summer (Can't Last Too Long), is also included. This was the last single before the original band's long hiatus, ended with the 2008 album Phoenix. The crashing guitar solo is by Pat Thrall, (Pat Travers Band). This is my favorite on the Then and Now album due to its positive message.
In 1989, he co-wrote the song "Prayin' 4 a Miracle" with John Wetton and Sue Shifrin. Wetton released the song on his band Asia's album Then & Now the year after.
As an artist I think G. Lake is more complete, but Wetton´s voice sounds better to me. Anyway, I love all those classic prog bands, ELP, Yes, King Crimson, Asia...
I've been flat out of luck Spent my very last buck Can't sink no lower than this I'm so broken inside Had to spit out my pride This ain't no way to exist Every place that I go, everyone that I meet Sees me like I'm some dog in the street And it's bringing me down to my knees Now I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle Prayin' for a miracle Since I left you that night Less than nothing's gone right Living this hell that I made So I'm back at your feet I'm admitting defeat Girl, I never felt so afraid Just give back my life, I admit my mistakes Now I'm willing to do whatever it takes I'm begging you now, can't you see Now I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle Prayin' for a miracle Don't walk away 'Cause I know I'm still worth savin' Can you forgive the way I turned my back on you? I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle Now I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle Prayin' for a miracle
Great to see this vid back here, I always liked how the lyrics fit with what the vid shows. I like when the snow flys off the drums! These guys must have froze while filming this, as that isn't Fake snow!
This was a prime example of what was happening to Asia at the time. The singing is top notch, the guitar fills by Pat Thrall are astounding....but where's the spark? Still a great song.
This song was actual co written with the late David Cassidy who died this week at age 67. This was a great collaboration between John Wetton and David Cassidy alongside Sue Shifrin.
@Cliffyboy82......the track is from 1990 and not early 2000s.....G Govern did not write it either.....its credited to Wetton /Shifron/Cassidy and appears on the 1990 compliation Now and Then.....its one of two new tracks featuring Pat Thrall on guitar....its also on the 1990 live in nottingham cb/dvd show.
Man, I´m shocked! Didn´t know John Wetton had passed away, I´ve benn so occupied these last days, not always connected on the web. Wow, really sad. Probably one of my 5, 6 favourite artists ever! At least he recorded a v. good last album in 2014, so many inpired songs.
@ACrackInTheWall2006 I guess maybe they didn't have a choice being in Russia during the winter. It looks pretty chilly with bare fingers! ASIA ROCKS!!!!! :))
Sing it babe...perfect as usual❤
ASIA TO THE "ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME" VOTE THEM IN!!!
Robert Mack, definitely!
Totally agree. Can we do anything about it?
They're too great for that!
They should of been in there, HOF, 5 years ago! At least!
So we should keep praying for a miracle
John Wetton and Asia's songs will go on forever rest in peace John x
The perfect song to listen and help shine that beam of bright light during the dark times,
RIP John Wetton and thank you for all of the great music

I never saw this video. Thanks for posting it. I lost track of Asia after 1990.
RIP...John Wetton....thank you for your musical legacy that generations can listen to!
One of Asia's best songs for me. R.I.P John Wetton.

Goose bumps every time I listen to this under appreciated song. Brilliant from a brilliant band.
Filmed during the Live In Moscow tour stop in 1990. Nice rare, deep cut vid!
You know with all the lineup changes this band went through one thing stands out the most john Wettons killer vocals sadly missed forever cherished
May John Wetton and David Cassidy both rest in peace.
Hearing about the passing of John Wetton made me think of this song rip John
SUPER VOICE OF WETTON
One of my favorites by Asia, simple but great, so true in so many ways!
Especially in the days of Corona, we are praying for a Miracle.
Asia is not a band to wow you with their videos, but seem them live and you'll appreciate them.
I never heard this song. Outstanding.
I believe in Miracles and receive the miracle for our beloved David Cassidy! Amen 🙏🏻
WONDERFUL SONG!!!!! YOU ARE CRAZY!!!!
that was a cool video those guitar riffs echoing off those ancient structures!!
Best song ever... OK, for me.....Love Moskow, love Russia, love ASIA.....
Great song written and produced by David Cassidy!
R.I.P. John Wetton :(
BlackBarbar851 and David Cassidy who cowrote this song with John Wetton.
farewell .. I will always love you John Wetton
In 1989, he co-wrote the song "Prayin' 4 a Miracle" with John Wetton and Sue Shifrin. Wetton released the song on his band Asia's album Then & Now the year after.
I became aware of JW on the first KC album I purchased, "Lark's Tongues in Aspic - Sept 3, 1973 - almost 44 years ago...
I Love this song inside of me Thank you for posting this.
No, no,no..... R.I.P. John .. so sad, so sad.......
Wetton is my favourite singer ever from Prog Rock/AOR.
LUCAS his voice is very beautiful and it's close but carl palmer played with the greatest voice in prog in ELP Greg Lake in my opinion.
As an artist I think G. Lake is more complete, but Wetton´s voice sounds better to me. Anyway, I love all those classic prog bands, ELP, Yes, King Crimson, Asia...
I've been flat out of luck
Spent my very last buck
Can't sink no lower than this
I'm so broken inside
Had to spit out my pride
This ain't no way to exist
Every place that I go, everyone that I meet
Sees me like I'm some dog in the street
And it's bringing me down to my knees
Now I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle
I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle
Prayin' for a miracle
Since I left you that night
Less than nothing's gone right
Living this hell that I made
So I'm back at your feet
I'm admitting defeat
Girl, I never felt so afraid
Just give back my life, I admit my mistakes
Now I'm willing to do whatever it takes
I'm begging you now, can't you see
Now I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle
I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle
Prayin' for a miracle
Don't walk away
'Cause I know I'm still worth savin'
Can you forgive the way I turned my back on you?
I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle
Now I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle
I'm prayin', prayin', prayin' for a miracle
Prayin' for a miracle
RIP John.
Very Nice,.for all of the years,..
Great to see this vid back here, I always liked how the lyrics fit with what the vid shows. I like when the snow flys off the drums! These guys must have froze while filming this, as that isn't Fake snow!
esta canción. me hace vibrar mi vida!!! es emocionante el sentido de esta canción!!! Asia eres el mejor
This was a prime example of what was happening to Asia at the time. The singing is top notch, the guitar fills by Pat Thrall are astounding....but where's the spark? Still a great song.
One and only Asia...
Amazing!! what a terrific band!!
This song was actual co written with the late David Cassidy who died this week at age 67. This was a great collaboration between John Wetton and David Cassidy alongside Sue Shifrin.
And the beach boy guys was in cahoots with Charles Manson.
@@kevinflorer1211What does that have to do with this? Any way they quickly cut ties from manson as realized he was really too crazed.
Asia & Journey play my home town on 5 July '17 but I won't be there. 😭
Lovely song
I have misqouted. Summer is a new track for this album, and Karianne is the unreleased B-side given to this project from previous work.
OH!!
PRAYING FOR GOOD OH
increibles saludos.
Yeah Asia.Rock on.
Thanks
@GuitarVato96 No.....they had reformed with Pat Thrall on guitar at that time (around 1990)
Written by David Cassidy and Sue Siffrin NOT Wetton, AND produced by Cassidy
That's not Thrall on guitar, it's Ron Komie and Palmer doesn't play drums on this either

@theLEMONS2009 I wonder who convinced them to play out in the snow and freeze for this video.
Wetton/Cassidy co written song
No written by Cassidy/Siffrin. NOT Wetton. Also produced by Cassidy

Asia the great

For a miracle if I'm not mistaken.
@GuitarVato96 ..no mate its Pat Thrall
Thrall.......make Asia Rocked
@ACrackInTheWall2006
I guess maybe they didn't have a choice being in Russia during the winter. It looks pretty chilly with bare fingers!
ASIA ROCKS!!!!! :))
Cripe. Not many words to this song, HUH?!
AOR how it's meant to be...
praying for the homeless
モスクワライブのビデオ買ったわ🎶
This is an Asia track in name only. Wetton recorded it alone with session musicians and put it on some movie soundtrack.
trfesok That was Gypsy Soul. Written by Georgio Morodor for the Over the Top soundtrack
Wrong. That was from the movie Over the Top.
John Wetton era o cara!
Love this song. Vocals are fantastic but the video makes no sense.
it's not true. all is well in Russia
RUSSIA
GREAT BAND & COUNTRY
in this vidéo the band is praying for heat
