I love Advent. Not just because we're preparing for the birth of Jesus or his second coming or that this time is like our new year's but because Advent marks my anniversary as a Lector. The first Sunday of Advent this year marks my second anniversary as Lector and it has been a wonderful Blessing to be able to share the Word of God with my fellow parishioners over the last couple years.

My Jesse tree and Advent ornaments were just delivered! With a protestant background I have never celebrated Advent, or spent this season preparing for Christ. Thank you!
I’m in the RCIA program and this Saturday at Mass was our welcoming to the church ceremony. Our Priest choose me to light the first Advent candle, since I was already baptized in the catholic faith.
Thanks for the reminders and encouragement! Looking forward to making my advent wreath tomorrow... I make it all new and revamp it every year. We started the Saint Andrew novena yesterday. I've been thinking of what sacrifices to do or give up and how to better prepare myself and family during this most holy season of advent... you helped thank You! 💜💜💖💜 praying for you and your family and all of your followers to have a holy and intentional advent season! 🙏🏼
Thats interesting. In Sweden we also light advent-candles, also four, one each sunday. There is no special colour of the candles, mostly white, but you can choose freely. We also have a christmas-star-lamp in the vindows for advent. I have always liked advent, since i was a child.

I enjoy your videos as I am both an auditory and visual learner. However, would it be possible to use more visuals as you talk? I would love to share some of these but believe others would benefit from some visuals to go along with what you are saying. Thanks!

A fifth candle, a white candle can be lit in the middle of the wreath on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day which symbolizes the light of Christ.
