Wow I just realized a few weeks ago that after 40 years of playing I sound sharp in register. Am seriously considering a change in mouthpiece now.
I’ve bought 6 trombone mouthpieces from monette and I really gotta say, they’re nothing but the best! The intonation is effortless and it allows my flexibility to be much more seamless. Absolutely the best there is!
Bj Dave John you know imma need to get one of these
Might as well be in the mail already! 🙌🏼
Love monette !
Love you back!

Hi
Send to Brazil?
I’m planning to get one of these, what are the specs for the traditional plus 6?
The Tradition PLUS 6 has the same rim and cup as our very popular size B6 S1. You can see the specs on our website. If you have other questions about mouthpieces, just email bj@monette.net. Thanks!
Are these on sale?
As of today they are! You can shoot us an email (bj@monette.net) to order one, or give us a call (503-255-5552.)
I want one where I buy it
These will soon be available in our online store, but you can call or email our shop right now to place an order.
Hi Dave, I'm a senior in high school and I play trumpet, and I'll be heading down to Portland to try out some mouthpieces and maybe a new trumpet soon, what mouthpiece would you suggest for lead playing in a big band setting, with range made a bit easier but not at the cost of tone quality? (Right now I am only used to a 14a4a and I'd like something along the lines of a studio gr)
Also can you please ask Charlie (if he is still there) if he'll be teaching at the Blaine Harbour Music Camp again next year?
Hi Hugh! Dave usually doesn't comment here, but I can help you. If you like the basic size of your 14a4a, our Resonance LT BL S1 is comparable and a very popular lead mouthpiece. Slightly smaller than that is the Resonance LT MF III, which was Maynard Ferguson's mouthpiece. Another very popular choice. If you need more specific info about mouthpieces, just shoot me an email at bj@monette.net or call us at the shop. And if you would like to schedule a visit, we can do that by phone or email as well. All shop visits are by appointment only. Hope you can come see us sometime soon!

How does a silver 6 compare to a bach megatone 3c? Anybody? These guys turned off comments on the silver 6 videos like if they’re hiding something.
No one's hiding anything. Comments may have been turned off on some old videos because of trolls or spam.
The Silver 6 is virtually the exact same size as the Bach 3C. It will feel a bit more free-blowing and will play with a faster response, cleaner attacks, and more consistent pitch, timbre, and resistance through the pitch and dynamic ranges of the instrument, allowing for a more effortless physical approach (particularly noticeable in the upper register). The Silver 6 is slightly lighter than a Bach Megatone (which was Bach's imitation of the old Monette STC-1 mouthpiece body from the mid-1980s) and it may sound just slightly brighter, but with more resonance and color in the sound.
I hope this is helpful. If you have other questions, feel free to email them to me at bj@monette.net.
I want one! Please take my money :)
We are happy to send you one! Just give us a call or email. (503-255-5552, bj@monette.net)
