People are sleeping on this team man, IF the offense manages to stay healthy this squad can be very dangerous for anyone. Barring any injuries I don't think the AL west crown is out of reach at all
This bullpen paired with a top 3 rotation in baseball and an improved lineup. If the offense can just stay healthy, the pitching will make 3 runs enough to win most games. It's unreal what the front office has built with such strict cash limitations.
@@no_regerts5176 They eliminated a ton of strikeouts from the lineup. Massively upgraded at second base and DH, got deeper overall, my opinion is that that the platoon at third is going to be better than Geno is in 24. Essentially a lateral move in LF Raley vs Kelenic until Kelenic proves otherwise. Only clear downgrade is in right field and even then, again, we dumped Teo's strikeouts. This lineup is much better suited for the pitching we have. The floor is much higher even if the ceiling is probably lower. This lineup is going to score 3-4 runs a game pretty consistently, whereas last years would score 6 or it would score 1. 3-4 wins most games behind this pitching.
Raley, Garver, Haniger and Polanco didn’t produce as many runs as Suarez and Hernandez. Suarez and Hernandez missed two games combined. The new 4 only played 24 more games. Strikeouts are outs like any other out. At least they aren’t weak contact that results in 2 outs if someone is on base.
@@no_regerts5176I don't like leaving long comments so I'd say go watch Locked on Mariners talk about why our lineup has much more potential. Suarez and Teo were trending down hard. I love Suarez but the guy started looking like he was swinging a sledgehammer upnat the plate, his bat speed dropped off like crazy.
The upside that Santo's brings to the pen is hard to overlook (yet I feel it has been) His stuff, his versatility and his moxy are all exciting metrics to look forward to seeing come out of him from the bump. Team control is a bonus of course too. ❤💯 Maybe the biggest trade in the entire off season, in my humble opinion anyway. #HotTake #Maybe? Lol 😂 Thanks for the top notch content, as usual! Go M's! Ive never really seen Kowar til now but that FB and change combo is nasty! If the Ms pitching lab can help him with control, our bullpen will be untouchable. Seeing those baseball savant stats for all our bullpen pitchers is nuts, i think we will have the best BP in the league if everyone performs to even their nirmal standards. God fucking damn i hope our boys on offense perform because this might be the best pitching too to bottom that the mariners have ever had.
Gonna really miss Sewald on this team, he was absolutely iconic. But I understand why they traded him away, the amount of depth in their bullpen is absolutely insane
I'm a Dbacks fan, and I know you have Vargas as an up and comer, but I was not impressed at all with him. All in all tho, our teams seem to trade with each other all the time lol so I hope Saurez is good for us
Bullpen are such a toss up yr to yr. Who knows if they will be effective. Everyone is always high on our pen but last year they sucked for the second half. They blew many games
M's had Sewald and Topa as the work-horses last season..Munoz and Brash were wild and inconsistent..Santos had only 2 saves last year... this is a more of a wait and see year... seems like every year is a rebuild year. The only one that came out ahead is Stanton because he has about 20M to cover the RSN debacle. But we will see.

Haniger, Garver, and Polanco probably won’t play 100 games combined.
Old man alert on Hanigarver. Hopefully Jorge doesn’t flop as hard as Kolten Wong.@@no_regerts5176
Great video. I love your style, heavy on the statistical meat, with just the right seasoning of commentary.
Appreciate it!

How is the lineup improved? All of the new players, combined, didn’t produce as much as Hernandez and Suarez.

Dude Gregory Santos shared this video on his Insta story!! Excellent work!!
I saw that! W 👏
Munoz, Brash, & Santos is just straight filth 🔥 one good healthy season is one good shot at the World Series.
Great video! Really excited to see what this team can do
Lose a bunch of 3-2 games.
The peripherals from this group is amazing.

Offence has to do the bare mininum for us to go to the playoffs. Offence still might fuck it up
Oh they will. A guy with 550 career at-bats is supposed to “solidify the middle of their lineup” and his name isn’t 1996 Alex Rodriguez.
@@no_regerts5176 no if the shift wins tomorrow extra
If the mariners make a deep post season run, they could make a movie out of this year lol
Been a mariners fan for most of my life. (9/14 years)
If they unearth a couple more guys then dang this pitching staff is gonna be potent.
Kirby might go 24-1 with a 2.24 Era
I thought the Mariners only want to win 54% of games?

Vargas is going to get sent down for good at some point this year
Give me Lou Trivino over Speier any day. If it’s clutch lefties you’re after, I’d trade Emerson Hancock for Taylor Rogers.
The Mariners bullpen is just nasty this year.
The only way this could get better is with the return of a healthy Casey Sadler!
Munoz is not closer material, get a little wild when the pressure is on.
Bullpen are such a toss up yr to yr. Who knows if they will be effective. Everyone is always high on our pen but last year they sucked for the second half. They blew many games
mariners have a good bullpen but come on, the astros clearly have the best three headed monster at the back of their pen
Mariners need to sign trevor bauer to a 2yr contract.

Astros are better. They have 2 top 5 closer and another guy who would be if not further down.. Not close.
Best thing about this team is that marco isn't on it. Soooo tired of pretending that guy is good
What we really need is a back-end lefty.
Would be nice to have another lefty, but Gabe Speier has proven he can be the high leverage guy from that side
stats on paper dont win games and arent relevant. advanced stats arent relevant or important at all. people obsessed with stats are morons.
